“Perfect trip!!-surf sounds melt your heart”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2011

This place (formerly Playa del Sol) is SO BEAUTIFUL!! so close to the beach, so sweet and the staff wonderful! We went to several Time Share presentations and the places were all fancy and great... but it was always a breathe of fresh air to return to our room which was only 70feet from the surf.. we fell asleep each nite to peace and surf.. no crazy music or wild times. just quality service, beauty and a wonderful feeling. You felt like family and th staff really make you feel right at home, better than home ! Virgenia, Victor to name a few .. I hve traveled to many places and I will always remember this one

Room Tip: go for a1 bedroom, studio a bit cramped..

Just got back from a two week stay and it was absolutely fantastic! We had an amazing room on the ground floor, only complaint would be hearing the noise from the room above but it was minimal. Pool is so nice and swim up bar is great. Drinks were a bit expensive so I'd suggest waiting for two for one happy hour. Beaches were great, water was quite warm. The staff
made our stay, specifically Rene at the front. Everyone was so pleasant and we will most definitely be going back! Thank you everyone!

My husband and I stayed at the Bel Air Collections Resort and Spa the week of April 17, 2011. This is a small but charming resort right on the beach. We stayed in the New Building (which I recommend) and our room was Gorgeous, it was spacious and clean and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The resort has two pools and a Nice Beach with a few umbrellas and chairs, staff said they are scheduled to get more umbrellas/chairs within the next few weeks. It has one restaurant on the property and it is nice. The resort offered Free Early morning Continental Breakfast--a nice touch... and Free Afternoon Tea Time with cold or hot tea, champagne and a dessert cookies or cake--again a nice touch...
There is also a store near the resort called Mega that has everything you may need. This was our first visit to Los Cabos and we like it alot. Some of the staff at the resort; Diego, Arturo and Renee are awesome, they helped make our stay in Los Cabos Great!
The concierge set up a tour for us, we did the Los Cabos San Lucas and San Jose tour with lunch. We enjoyed this tour, it showed us alot of the area and things we went back to and the lunch was good, we enjoyed talking with people on the tour from different parts of the world. At the resort their are Taxis there to take you where every you may want to go, they also have rental options. We used Cabos San Lucas Tour Airport Transfers from the airport to the resort the cost was $11.00 per person this worked out great for us, we used a taxi from the resort to the airport the cost was $15.00 per person this worked out great as well. Bel Air Collections Resort and Spa is a Nice and Quite Resort, we plan to return to Los Cabos in the near future.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2011

My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary and loved the place. It does have some flaws but it was a very relaxing time.
We arrived about a day and a few hours late due to our flight being rerouted. So when we get there Edwin at the front desk tells us that they gave away our room but that we would be upgraded to a larger room (ok so far so good)but it took an hour for our new room to be ready! (not so good) we sat around waiting and while the place was very quiet we really wanted to get into our room and change. (again, not good)
We are told our room is ready and Renee would take us to it. He was fantastic and showed us around as he took us up. The room was just WOW! About 200 feet from the beach and after a winter in NYC that sun felt like heaven. The room is spotless, the not the hippest, most up-to-date interiors but it was better because it was relaxing, something that hip hotels sometimes fail at being. The room as stated was right by the Ocean; you heard and saw the waves from the bed, from the sofa, from the kitchen from every inch of that room! Love, love, love!
We go down for drinks and dinner and notice how quite the place is even though we are in the middle of Spring Break, I was told by a waiter that the hotel is always quiet which is exactly what we wanted. The food was very good for a small place and the drinks where nice and strong which was better. The place was really dead and I later found out that it is not only a time share but in-between owners so it was in a weird transition period. Honestly I am glad that it was that quite but it was weird.
I loved that when the staff found out I spoke Spanish, they just got friendlier and gave us great tips about getting around San Lucas and San Jose. I will say this; the hotel was great and peaceful, clean and relaxing but what made our trip was the staff. Renee, Jesus, Cecilia; thank you for a great vacation, you guys made our stay there better. Note to whoever ends up running the joint; keep them and give them raises, they made the stay wonderful. The guys who job it is to do the sand sculpture in the morning was so into it, that watching him work was relaxing. The guy who brought our food up was so friendly and funny that I did not care that they made really bad Fried-rice ( I know, friend rice in Mexico. I have an Asian wife cut me some slack)
There some things that need help; the place is very quiet and although we liked it. Having several empty buildings was weird., maybe add a spa or something. The music, is in serious need of upgrading. The Pop and Lite-rock of the 70’s and 80’s is tired, I listened to it in high school please no mas! Have you ever heard of ambient or lounge? The food was good but one kitchen and the same things get boring. Some of the items did not work, we had to bring towels from the room since there were not enough, some of the chairs, and umbrellas etc. just looked as they needed to be retired. Maybe it is me, maybe because I work in the design industry and have outfitted hotels I am critical but little things like that made it a bit sad. The timeshare portion looked just old, dirty and showed a lack of care which the Hotel portion thank God did not. It just felt as if they were not sure what would happen next.
