The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was good. Best part--someone else picked up the tab.

“Great day of golf!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

My father and I recently spent an entire day at Palmilla Golf Club and had a wonderful time! We booked our tee time through EZ-Links (which saved us more than 50%) and I would totally recommend because golf in Cabo is not cheap. We decided to play Palmilla because they offered 27 different holes and had heard it was one of the best in the Cabo area, and we are so glad we did. To begin with, the staff are all so helpful and really try to ensure you have a memorable experience from the moment you arrive. We rented clubs (Calloway) which were quite reasonable at $40 and included 2 sleeves of Titleist golf balls. The practice facility is included with your greens fee and is very nice with outstanding views of the sea of Cortez. Nice range, large putting green with holes in different locations, 2-3 very nice practice bunkers (you should definitely practice hitting out of the sand because there is ALOT of it on the courses).

We decided to play 36 holes in one day and had a great time! Our favorite 9 holes was the desert course, which had superbly crafted holes. Lots of carries over ravines filled with cacti, water features, and multiple elevation changes. It really had some of the most creative hole designs I've ever seen...amazing! Our next favorite was the arroyo or desert course, which was interesting and unique as well. We did enjoy the ocean course as well, however there are 2 or 3 holes that seem a little gimmicky and not well designed. The nice thing about all 3 of the courses is that they all have amazing views of the bay and sea of Cortez.

If you order food at the turn, they will prepare it and actually drive it out to you on the course which was a nice touch. They give you plenty of very cold water to stay hydrated and after each 9 holes, they offer you an ice cold towel to cool off.

The only thing they could improve on is the club house, which is quite small and does not seem to befit such a wonderful golf club. They do have very nice Cuban cigars available though!

Overall we had a fabulous time at Palmilla Golf Club and would definitely recommend you give it a try on your next visit to Cabo.

“Electrifying Golf Lesson!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

Palmilla is the golf course to see. On a full discolsure notice, I did not golf a round, I just went to the range. If that is all you see of this place it is stunning. You look down onto the water from the driving range and there is ice cold bottled water free for the taking. I received tips (as I have never golfed before) from a golf pro known by literally everyone in town as "Radio". Radio was patient and encouraging. The day that we were there, we got to experience one of Mexico's rare lightening storm. Radio ushered us into the safety of the club house as the storm rolled through and we continued on with our lesson.

“Overpriced but fun courses”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2012

We love playing Palmilla as there are three nines and they are all beautiful and fun to play. The Mountain and Ocean courses are the prettiest and most interesting but the Arroyo is fine too. They have had some water problems and as a result the fairways aren't as green as they should be but still a great place to play.
