I had a great time at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was wonderful. The food was excellent. The hotel provides wuth shsmpoo, razors, lotion, sewing packages, robes and a mini refrigerator full with waters, drinks and snacks that was filled everyday. There is a market a block away that has everything you need. There wasn't much traffic in town. I will rent a car next time. The shuttle charged $14.00 per person and the taxi to cabo san lucas was $50.00. You really don't need to leave the hotel. They have plenty of activities during the day and entertainment at night. This place is for relaxation. If you are looking for a nightclub or younger loud crowd, stay somewhere else. If you want to enjoy good food, drinks and sun. You are in the right place. There is also a gym with half basketball court and tennis court. Overall I had a wonderful time

108 of us invaded the resort for a wedding and every part of our week stay was perfect! Food was great, service was genuinely excellent. Special thanks to Jose Castellanos at the International Buffet who made me smile every morning. Highly recommend this place. Something for everyone.

Room Tip: Every room I saw was great. Don't think you can go wrong there. Besides, there is too much to do...

I had an incredible time at this resort. The food is tasty, the drinks are great, and the staff was very pleasant. My boyfriend and I were most impressed by how clean the facilities and the town was, even in Cabo. The swim up suite was the best part of the trip. As soon as you wake up you can open your balcony doors and you are in the pool. It is definitely one of the best places that I have traveled to (I have been to 20 countries thus far), most because there is amazing food, drinks, great spa, and a party town right at your finger tips. My review here does not do justice to how incredible this resort is!!! Carlos from the Italian restaurant is the best!

Had the worst stay here our room wasn't ready on time I was late to my friends wedding because of it and was charged an extra $250 on top of the room rate of $400 a night when we emailed them as to that $250 they acted like we were crazy and hadn't charged us at all.. And we were questioned as to the where abouts of our wristbands even though at check in we were told we could take them off for the wedding.. No apology was ever offered by the staff either I honestly had a better time at the Santa Maria hotel down the st for $55 a night much friendlier

If you are purchasing an upgrade this can be paid in advance by sending us the information for the charge or pay it directly at the hotel at the moment of your registration, we are sorry that this situation took more time and you were late to your friend’s wedding.

Wristbands are the identification as a guest of our Resort, we ask all our guests to wear them during the entire stay for safety and all inclusive. We allow our guest take off the wristbands only for the wedding events with the commitment to replace them as soon as possible to avoid inconveniences. Please accept my sincere apology for the non intentional incidents that you experienced during your stay.

Just wanted to comment on the Hyatt Ziva in Los Cabos. Me and the wife just got back from a four day vacation at this resort and the service was simply excellent! The wait staff and especially Yacer at the Coral restaurant were the best the two of us have ever had. This is somthing you can't not miss!

We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva for 7 nights during the first week of April 2014. We booked the basic room package through Expedia and, following on the advice of others online, we asked for a room on a high floor when we got to the check-in desk at the hotel. We ended up with a room in Building 3 on floor 7 with an ocean view, and one morning we watched whales from our balcony!

The staff did an exceptional job. We were told the service at the restaurants may be a bit slow, but we didn't find that to be the case. Hats off to the Pool Concierge and his staff, who were polite, helpful, and always available. The gold star goes to Miguel Banaga, who served us several days on the beach - he worked hard, was very kind, and made our beach days particularly enjoyable!!!

The food was fabulous. The buffets were fresh, the fresh pressed juices in the morning was a very nice touch, and we were very impressed with the Spanish, French and Japanese themed restaurants. We didn't have high expectations, but were surprised with the quality of the food coming out of the kitchens. We even went back to both the French and Japanese restaurants to try more of the menu items!

We were on holiday without kids and, when we booked, were concerned about the "family-friendly" nature of the hotel; however, we had nothing to worry about. There's a great kids center, which is where most of the kids must have spent their time because there seemed to be few around the pool, and in the afternoons we migrated towards the adult-pool. I note that we did go in the ocean a few times, although the waves were quite large at times (and apparently the undertow can be bad, but we didn't experience that) so good swimming skills would be recommended.

We saw five weddings take place during our stay. Personally, I would not like to have 100 strangers (some drunk, who do not have respect for what's taking place) watching my wedding -- that said, I can absolutely understand the appeal. The setting is spectacular, the food is great, it looked like the hotel staff were very well equipped and organized to facilitate a wedding of any size and the needs of the individuals involved, and you get to spend your time with family and friends at this wonderful resort.

All I can say is that I would go back to the Hyatt Ziva any time and probably stay 10 days, so that I would have more time to explore outside of the hotel walls. While we didn't want to leave, we were completely relaxed when we did.

Room Tip: Building 3 on a high floor - you can't go wrong.

My husband and I stick to Hyatt properties for all our vacations- we got married at the Hyatt in NYC, honeymooned at the Hyatt in Maui, 1 yr anniversary at the Park Hyatt in Paris, so only fitting to celebrate our 2 yr anniversary at the all-inclusive Ziva, and so glad that we did!
-The resort is spectacular- breathtaking views, clean surrounding, beautiful landscaping, open rooms with ocean views and balconies, 4 incredible pools and gorgeous white sandy beaches (note, swimming is NOT allowed on the beach at the Hyatt), but the pool makes up for it so you won't miss it.
-The service and the staff are exemplary. Very friendly, courteous and helpful. From the moment we checked in (the platinum help desk concierge was very good), to all the restaurant and pool staff, room service and maid service, all excellent.
- The food is amazingly delicious. You expect an all inclusive resort to have mediocre food, but the food at the Ziva was absolutely delicious. 4 different buffet restaurants, 6 different dinner a-la-carte restaurants, 2 pool bars- all wow!! The breakfast is really out of this world- choices that will keep you coming back for more, everyday! My husband is a chef so for him to like the food is something, and he loved it!
-The resort amenities are fantastic. We did a couples massage at the spa, and used the spa services for the entire day. The spa is definitely one of the top 5 spa's I have ever been to- we have never felt so pampered and relaxed! The therapists were very friendly and courteous, and knew what they were doing.
-There are these fire pits that are lit by the beach in the evening, with beautiful couches and cabanas to sit on- definitely do that if you are on a romantic vacation!
-The bars and alcohol are all inclusive. Good quality drinks, premium liquor if you are platinum, so drink all you want!
- Tip: get the hotel to pick and drop you off from the airport- and don't get scammed at the airport for a free service at another property for $20, it's a time share!
-Also book your tours through the hotel. We did a half day in Cabo going to the arch and a boat ride, cheap and good.

Kudoos to the entire staff of the property for making our stay so memorable and luxurious, we will definitely return!!

Room Tip: balcony with ocean view. skip the rooms which open up into the pool, they are not worth the extra $$
