Once again, the trip advisor folks got it right. This place is a hidden gem and if you can make your way off the beaten path, you're in for a very pleasant surprise. They have made wonderful use of the original building from a sugar cane plantation, dating back to 1888. It is covered in vines an there is a beautiful palm forest on the grounds. They've dressed it up with little lanterns and string lights. It's very romantic. The food was delicious and fresh from the garden with an emphasis on their vegetables. The fish fresh from the sea that day and the goat stew was sublime. Everything is made to order so it does take a little extra time. The service was attentive; the owner, LuLu, is a delight. She came over and told us the whole history of the place. They are eager to please and continue to improve upon what is already a uniquely wonderful, authentic experience. And not to mention, a GREAT value. We will definitely be back and will bring our friends!
