“Way at the Top of our 'Hilton Resorts World Tour'!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

First, let me say we are Hilton Diamond and have been to some pretty amazing places, but the Hilton Los Cabos is way at the top. It's situated on one of the only swimmable beaches in Cabo, but that's not what makes this a gem of a property. The service here is incredible - every morning at breakfast the servers would take your plate (after you've filled it) to your table for you which is a nice experience. The servers remembered us every day and were genuinely gracious and amicable without being too overbearing, service-wise. This service was consistent with every restaurant at the resort - we dined al fresco at the Italian place 3 times for dinner while we were there; it was such a spectacular view of the pool and Sea of Cortez and the weather mid-January was perfect.

Hub and I were there celebrating my 40th birthday and housekeeping staff made sure I didn't forget what we were celebrating! I couldn't believe the display of balloons, streamers, candy and towel animals as we walked in our room the first time! I felt like a princess. :)

When we saw a sign outside at the back of the resort that said "Whale Watching", we assumed there was a place on property to sign up to take a whale tour. NO, they meant you can actually see whales breaching from your room! They have a scope near the pool where you can view this spectacular display of these incredible creatures.

Our room - I was speechless. We chose the space available upgrade which was well worth the extra $50 per night. The extended balcony was large and was straight on facing the beautiful ocean. I think we must have stayed giddy the entire time about how amazing our room & view was! You could see the Sea of Cortez from the bathtub. Now, does it really get any better than that?!

What I also liked was the fact that the Hilton is right next to Rosewood's Las Ventanas al Paraiso which had some amazing restaurants. They took us in a golf cart to the resort so we could dine there (see my review of Beach Grill). How great is that? Nice to see resorts working & cooperating together for the bigger cause of tourism in their area! They didn't even make us feel like we were "cheating" on them by going off property to eat. :)

Hilton, you've outdone yourself! If only EVERY Hilton property had this level of service and was maintained as this one was - wow. Although we are trying to hit as many Hilton resorts on our "Hilton World Tour" and hadn't intended on going back anytime soon simply because there are others we want to try, we WILL be back in Cabo at this resort SOON!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 4th floor with extended balcony - Although Oceanfront rooms are a higher cate...

Thank you for such a glowing and detailed review. It’s truly an honor to have Hilton Diamond members stay with us and recognize that we strive to deliver above and beyond every day. I hope we don’t detract you too long from your “Hilton World Tour” - which sounds like a great idea! - but I can’t say we won’t loving having you back. We’ll be looking forward to it. Thanks again.

Great hotel with clean and spacious rooms. The resort has several restaurants and bars overlooking a well landscaped garden, infinity pool and the pacific ocean. All restaurants offer various selections of delicious gourmet recipes but get your US $ 75.00- $ 100.00 ready to enjoy a complete meal for two (2) adults. I spent 3 nights at Hilton Los Cabos and I recommend this resort to anyone who has money to burn, and just wanna enjoy the weekend without leaving the hotel.

Thank you for the review. If a weekend of relaxing poolside, highlighted by a cool cocktail and stunning ocean views is what you’re after, our resort is definitely the perfect choice. Thank you again.

Outstanding in every way, though make sure you have a vehicle if you want to go of the property (not that you need to). The infinity pool, bars and service at the pool are great - room easily handled a family of 4. I don't know what the level of occupancy was (stayed over easter so expected it to be busy) but there was never a scramble for lounge chairs at the pool or the beach.

Would not hesitate to go back.

My husband and I flew to Cabo from Seattle for a four-day weekend. We never left the hotel, which was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The service was impeccable. Every staff person, waiter, etc. was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The facility was beautiful. The hotel is either brand new or recently renovated, as everything felt fresh and up to date.

We loved the open-air breakfast area, complete with live guitar music. The food in the restaurants was reasonably good. We liked Fenicia a bit more than Meson, but both were fine.

We deliberately chose this hotel for its swimmable beach and were glad to have it, but we also really enjoyed the infinity pool.

We absolutely would choose this hotel again and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We upgraded to a suite and loved our huge balcony, with comfortable lounge chairs and full ocean vie...

Thank you so much for your review and recommendation. It sounds like everything went just swimmingly. While of course we encourage our guests to explore everything Cabo has to offer, sometimes you can’t beat the incredible relaxation of four straight days on site, not a care in the world. I hope you have the chance to choose us again soon. Thanks.

The Hilton is located at the between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo on the end of the Baja peninsula just down from Club Regina where we stayed the first four nights of our 8 day trip.

The check in was easy and the staff was extremely helpful. Unlike Club Regina, we had a traditional one bed room unit with a balcony which was big enough for two chairs and a table overlooking the “quiet pool” and the ocean. One of the best aspects of the Hilton is that all rooms have ocean views.

Unlike Club Regina the cost of staying at the Hilton is substantial, running about $300 to $340 a night (just out of high season in April, after whale watching officially ends on the 15th). We enjoyed our last four days there very much. They are built much closer to the ocean than was Club Regina & the Westin (see that review) and therefore the swimming in the ocean was better, less rough. However, most people still found it too rough and chose instead to swim in one of two major pools on the property. It is beautiful. The service is good, as one would expect from a top hotelier.

Unlike the Westin which has award winning architecture, the Hilton is much more traditional. While it is lovely, it wasn’t a “property to remember” like the Westin. We did enjoy the Spa; though the treatments where very good, the spa itself is rather modest compared to other similar properties in which I have stayed.

There restaurants on property which were good, though not exceptional.

In my title I put this as our 2nd best choice. I would say that the Westin/Club Regina would be my first choice due to the outstanding architecture. However, I would gladly come back to the Hilton. It is a beautiful property it it's own right. It is just that in Cabo there is a lot of competition. It is kind of like going to Orlando which has many beautiful properties to choose from.

The property is gorgeous, and the staff is friendly. What more could one want in a place to stay for a relaxing vacation?

Room Tip: For those desiring a quieter vacation choose a room on the quiet pool side. Those that want to be &q...

Five star hotel with a 4 star price. Great location in between Cab San Lucas and Los Cabos, next to Las Ventanas and One and Only. Private beach and amazing infinity pool with great views. My wife and I spent a long weekend here having never been to Cabo before. We have travelled all over Europe, the Carribean and the States and like to think we have experience with hotels. For the money you cannot go wrong staying here. Rooms are huge with balconies overlooking the ocean. The staff is wonderful and super accomodating. They can help arrange dinner reservations, excursions or anything you desire. The only drawback with this hotel compared to the 5 stars close by is that the restaurants are not top notch. However they do the job and due to the location of this hotel itdoesn't really matter due to its proximity to other awesome places to eat. The hotel has a golf cart driver that will shuttle you to and from Las Ventanas for dinner. And other great restaurants are a short drive(if you rent a car which I highly suggest) or cab ride. We will be back to Cabo at some point in the near future and will definitely be staying here. We had a wonderful stay with absolutely no complaints.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a large balcony when you arrive. Also avoid a room on the first floor as there a...

This hotel was an absolute treat! Excellent service, beautiful large rooms and right on the beach. The location is quite a ways from the nightlife in town, but we actually preferred the quietness this hotel offered.
