It started out great. When we arrived that evening--my 50th birthday, we were met by Marty and led into the current art show, which was really nice, and there was a wine tasting. Then, since we were early for our dinner reservation, we spent a little time in the shop which is filled with beautiful things--I promise you will want to buy just about everything in the store! Lots of lovely things! Then, we walked to the restaurant--just a few feet away, past the crops growing, which lets you know everything will be quite fresh. So, we start to get excited. Once, in the restaurant, although early, we are able to be seated right away since our table is ready. As we peruse the menu, we notice a dog--yes, a pet dog hanging out in the restaurant. That wasn't exactly kosher to us, but, oh well...so we order our drinks and first course. Now, "Scruffy" (that's the name I assigned him) is making frequent unwelcome stops at our table. We ask to have them move the dog, because we don't want to eat with the dog. Several times he is shooed away from our table--and he keeps returning, and then he starts going under our table. Now we are really getting annoyed, but still, Scruffy is simply shooed away; and he returns again. Mid-sentence, I feel my sandaled toes being licked beneath the table. At this point, I arise and announce that we're done and it's time to go. Only then is Scruffy removed from the restaurant and our meal becomes dog--and nuisance-free.
We don't hate animals, but we do think that there is a place for them--and the restaurant isn't one of them. Has anyone considered those who have allergies, or phobia's??? It really isn't fair to impose that on people without warning. Seriously, had I known, I would be dining in a dog-friendly restaurant, I would have chosen a different location. The food was great, though. As good as it was, I would never eat there again.

Dear Lisa,
We are sorry you were upset by the presence of Mama dog in the restaurant. We did remove her as soon as you asked. She has " worked" at the farm/restaurant for almost 13 years, and most people ask for her if they don't see her. She was one of the original dogs at Flora Farm when we start the Humane Society here in Los Cabos. We completely understand this not being something you are comfortable with, and we had hoped removing her immediately, bring complementary appetizers and birthday desserts, and providing great service could have helped right this wrong. We are sorry to hear you still left disgruntled and hope that next time you are in town you will visit us again.
