“Opening Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

I went to the grand opening of the new boutique hotel VidaSoul. The place was beautifully designed by Tobias, the party was great, bands amazing. The new cooks Joan hired are great. Although the food has always been amazing, I have never had a meal I didn't love. I can't wait to return to stay in one of the new rooms with the most incredible views. What they pulled off there is spectacular. I was so pleased to see so many familiar faces there. Thank you for the most generous party with unbelievable appetizers and wine, you went beyond my expectations. Wishing you tons of success.

“New Cook is Great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

As of now, 3-23-13, the new cook at Crossroads Country Club is fabulous. The new cook Sal, brings a bit of Lebanese style to the food served at Crossroads Country Club. Through the years the food has gone from yuck to okay. This guy has turned it up significantly and is renewing our faith. There are very few places to go on the East Cape Road without traveling 25-30 minutes. I would go any day but Saturday when the owner is there, as she is a bit abrasive and tends to be condescending to her help in front of the patrons making it uncomfortable. The turn over rate there is very high, so for now, give it a try and enjoy a fabulous meal. The prices have gone up a bit in the past couple of years, but again, being the only place around, they can take advantage of that luxury. The quality of the food lately is worth it!

“It pays to drive back roads...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

We have found another gem. Off the beaten path in beautiful surroundings.

In the process of being finished, we lucked and enjoyed personal hospitality for the night.

From humble beginnings selling beer out of a cooler, Joan has really set herself up to be a marvelous destination.

Good luck in the next few months Joan. We look forward to updates as you finish the rest of the building. We'll be back

“The Great Escape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Here's where you go when you want to get away from it all. If you're not afraid of driving often sketchy dirt roads, take the East Cape Rd. north from Puerto Los Cabos and get ready from some incredible vistas. Pristine coastline with dozens of beaches and few homes in a sparingly developed piece of paradise. Likely to meet some friendly locals along the way including families of burros and goats! Not so much into offroad type driving? Cut across from Hwy 1 at Palo Escopeto, bear left past the arroyo and you're there pretty quick. Either way, you'll find yourself in the middle of nowhere with the Sea of Cortez as your backyard. Nice menu with enough diversity to satisfy any craving at reasonable prices. Friendly staff, too. Best part is you're in natural Baja with little development and lots of open space.

I had a nicely light and fresh chicken pasta dish, wife craved a cheeseburger – it did not disappoint. Capped it off with a bowl of homemade cookies and cream ice cream which was simply awesome. Fresh, homemade creamy ice cream in the middle of the Baja... beautiful.

Owners are looking to debut their new hotel come April, 2013 and that bodes well to us. Crossroad's attracts some really great musicians, catching a show with the sunset and into night is enough to make it worth the trip. Add good food and drink and a place to rest for the night and this really becomes a must visit destination. We enjoyed the drive and visit just for lunch. Sure we'll be back for an extended stay when the hotel opens.
