“Viva Mexico at Casa Natalia”

During my sixth (!) stay at Casa Natalia, I enjoyed the nice, intimate setting in the heart of San Jose del Cabo´s historical center, the kind and smiling service, great magaritas on the deck at "El guero", excellent food at Mi Cocina Restaurant and - above all the smiles of owners Nathalie and Loic Tenoux.

Room Tip: We stayed in cuarto Otomi but all the rooms (except for the suites) are nicely decorated with local

Starting our vacation in Todos Santas for four nights ( at another equally beautiful boutique Inn) then off to the busy carnival scene of Los Cabos, we much appreciated the local culture and scene of Old San Jose. If I venture this way again I would spend more time in your town. The Day of the Dead celebrations were on during our day and it brought out the best in bands and plays in the plaza ( right beside the hotel) . Locals selling fresh made churros, tamales, tacos, candy..you name it. In the morning the Municipality took to the streets with a full marching band
played by their very own police force after the major raised the Mexican flag from a pole.

Ok, the hotel. It was a blessing to be able to stay in such a beautiful, well run and professional hotel away from the mayhem in Cabos. It was just what we needed. Breakfast and dinner were both top notch and the service was terrific. The girl who worked the front desk was super nice and such a beautiful smile. We will certainly stay here again if we venture into San Jose again.

On the central town plaza in San Jose, BCS, is a quiet, self contained boutique hotel, Casa Natalia. Class and distinction are trademarks, and the breakfasts and dinners served at the hotel's restaurant, Mi Cocina, are also top notch. The only thing missing is the beach, but the pool and sundecks are great, and an Old Mexico atmosphere permeates the hotel and it's location

Room Tip: Lower floors may be best for some travelers , as there are no elevators

My daughter and I spend the weekend at Casa Natalia in San Jose Del Cabo the end of October 2012. We loved the quietness and "real mexico" feel there. What really was exceptional was the service. The staff were so helpful. They gave us directions to stores, the beach etc, helped us with taxis, and recommendations on just about any thing local. They were very friendly and greeted us warmly in our coming and going. We loved the food at the restaurant and found some of the Martini's to be the best we have had anywhere. We have never stayed on the San Jose Del Cabo side of "the Cabos" and we plan to try and do that on our every trip to this area now.

I stayed at Casa Natalia in their beautiful suite del Mar. Talk about peace, tranquility and complete R&R. It is worth the difference in price to have a large terrace with a jacuzzi, a hammock and 2 lounge chairs. I got up early every morning just ot have some coffee on my terrace while I read, before going down to breakfast to Mi Cocina and enjoying some delicious green juice and a wonderful breakfast. The hotel only has 19 rooms and it is a jewel in the city of San Jose - the service is warm, friendly and very hospitable. By the end of your first day everyone calls you by name and they all go out of their way to pamper you and make you feel at home. Nathalie and Louis, the owners and hosts are there during the day visiting with guests and making sure that everyone is having a wonderful stay. The beach is only a few minutes away so this is my #1 choice when I travel to Los Cabos.

Room Tip: Suite Del Mar is delightful

For my first trip to San Jose I wanted to stay somewhere special, not just a generic hotel, and I am so happy I chose Casa Natalia! The hotel is just gorgeous to look at (try to spot all the intersting sculptures/artwork strewn about), the rooms are big, comfortable and super clean, and there is an amazing restaurant downstairs. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, spoke great English. The breakfasts are quite good (you get to order next day's breakfast the night before by filling out a little card) and it's wonderful to eat on your own private balcony, then lounge around in the hammock.
We stayed here for a few nights at the end of September during low season, and the hotel was virtually empty...the pool was basically ours anytime we wanted it (and you'll want it, believe me!) but at times it got a little lonely, so we'd walk downtown to see some faces and chat with other tourists. It is also quite a distance away from the beach, but you can make your way down to the water by stopping in a couple of bars and cafes along the way...much more interesting than driving down or taking a taxi.

All of the Baja guide books advised that this boutique hotel is super pricey, but during low season (especially with all the great deals online), you can score a gorgeous room for less than $100/night.

If you want a boutique hotel in a small town where you can still get the true feeling of what Mexico was 50 years ago, this is your place. The staff is second to none helping in every possible way. When I first arrived I had difficult parking and they offered to take the car, bags and for us not to worry. It always felt like returning home each day. Also, they have an affiliation with Hilton on the beach so that is a plus as well. We feel that if when we return to this area of Mexico that Casa Natalia will be our place of choice. Job well done.
