this was our honeymoon.We were to check in at 3PM. We had to wait until 7 PM. There were no beverages in the fridge. We had to continually ask for bottled water. We had always stayed in or near Cabo San Lucus. This resort advertised 5 restaurants. Only 2 were open. One that offered a menu was only open 2 days out of 5. The rest of the time we had to eat from a buffet. It wasn't that great. One night we ate off of a menu and had to pay $30. extra for seafood. Every time we took a taxi somewhere it was $10. It didn't matter if it was 5 blocks or 5 miles. No activities near there. Only 2 bars were open. The air conditioner would not shut off, we froze at night. The room was nice, but I would never stay there again. If I ever go back, it will be to the RUI Palace.

Let me start out by saying I think we had the best room at the hotel. Don't let the room number fool you. The room is on the first floor, has it's own patio and hammock, and has an amazing view of the ocean. I spent many a morning watching the sunrise and many an evening staring at the stars listening to the waves lap the beach.

The hotel is in a great location. It is at the end of a string of hotels and has a beautiful estuary to the North. The best part of this resort is that it is in walking distance to the city of San Jose. It was nice to be able to tour the city at our leisure and without investing in a cab ride.

The other aspect I liked about this hotel is that a lot of native Mexicans stay here. So unlike other all-inclusive resorts which seem to be a transplant of America in a foreign country, it was nice to have a taste of the local culture while at the resort. We also met some amazing people from Canada.

There were many meals that we excellent and the staff even prepared our fresh-caught tuna one night - and they did a great job.

As this was our first time at an all-inclusive, I do not have a reference as to how it compares to other resorts. But if you are looking for a good place with local flavor and an awesome location, I would check it out.

This place does not look that great from the outside. But once you get checked in and set up the fun begins. I found this place to have amazing service, awesome food and clean rooms. The beach is beautiful but because of the undertow you cannot swim out too far. They upgraded us to a suite on the main floor with a hammock for practically nothing. Which when I booked online, it was an extra 50 dollars per night.

The only negative thing was in the lobby they have people set up that seem to work for the hotel (but they don't) trying to sell you excursions. But when you in actuality sit down they are selling time shares. So if you plan on staying her DO NOT sit down with the people on the lobby.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. I also find the people that write bad reviews about this place expect too much and are high maintenance. They also seem to refuse to make a somewhat of a bad situation into a good one. And the "things" they are complaint about can happen at any resort at anytime.

Our travel agent booked the resort for us between the 11th of Nov to the 18th. Turned out to a great trip. the beach is 2nd to none in Cabo. If you're looking for a great beach in a great location try this one. Remember Cabo San Lucus is #0 mins away by cab so if you are looking to party this might not be the best place. However, Cabo San Jose is only a 15 min walk. Great little town.
