After reading the reviews, I was scared of what I was getting myself into. I exchanged thru Interval International to this resort, and it was my understanding that there were old buildings and they opened a new building in August 2007. Well, I arrived at the resort and was politely greeted at the front desk with English speaking employees. Very nice; arrived early around 3ish, but room was not ready. It was ready at 4 pm which was okay because that is check-in time anyways. I had emailed them a week early to ask for a suite in the new building because of the bad reviews about the old buildings. Well, they don't even own the old buildings anymore. They have one new building and will be completing the second phase of the resort in December 2008 which includes another pool. I was quite surprised when I opened the door to my suite. It was absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures on their website. Granite countertops in kitchen with stainless steel applicances and marble in the bathroom with spa tubs. The decor was also beautiful. The only problem was it was a ways away from the pool, but that was okay. We had a ocean front view and waking up to that was absolutely breathtaking. There was only one restaraunt on the premises which was okay but the same thing, and a bit pricely but not bad. We rented a car right there on site and the price was much better than what the airport had quoted, $150 cheaper. It was worth it because Cabo San Lucas was 30 minutes away and taxis are very expensive, cost to Cabo $35 one-way so we got our money's worth. We went into Cabo every day because that is where all the action was. I am glad I choose this resort for peace and quite and not busy at all. Never had to worry about beach or pool chairs because there was always many available. If you like low key, this is a nice resort. If you want to be in the limelight, stay in Cabo. Didn't know this before I went, but didn't dampen my vacation at all. It is every expensive over there. Food, drinks, everything. Take lots of money. Good resturants in Cabo was Captain Fish at the new Paradise Plaza Mall along with Peacocks and few others. Like I said, very pricey but worth it. They have Hard Rock Cafe and Johnny Rocket there also which is good for regular stuff. To party you have to go to EL SQUID ROW. It is basely for the young crowd, 18-20 years old; my finace and I are in our late 40's and we enjoyed it very much. It was good to laugh and dream of being that young again with so much energy. Overall, the resort was great, and I would go back definitely. I have pictures, but they are just the same as the ones in the photo gallery. Very nice.
