“Rest and Relaxation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Don't listen to the moaning of having to stay in Phase II, if you are not an owner. There are trade offs. Yes, in Phase I you have an ocean view that includes a constant view of Los Arcos an "lands end". But, you are further away from everything else the resort has to offer. Since there are no restrictions as to where you can go in the resort, if you are in the Phase II building, just walk down to Phase I, grab a lounge chair, and enjoy the view.

The low down. The food is good but pricey. Adult beverages: $5.00 (US Dollars), wine $12.00, and mixed drinks $10.00. We were there for 2 weeks, the only activity we encountered was Alberto. He sang and played the guitar. If you are a dancer his selections allowed for cha-cha, rumba, swing, foxtrot, and slow dancing. You will find Alberto at the Tequila Bar most nights.
The resort is kid friendly and offers two toddler pools, one with sprays and buckets that pour water on willing victims. A small food pantry is open until 10.00PM, items are expensive, but in a pinch they probably will have what you are looking for. The staff is there to please. We never walked pass an employee who did not greet us with an Hola, or buenos dias, or buenos tardes. House keeping comes everyday (a little excessive) but you always have a tidied unit and fresh towels.

What to do: Stay at the resort and simply relax, sunset dinner cruise, para-sail, snorkel, scuba,
glass bottom boat ride to Lovers Beach, camel adventure tour, zip line, tours to Todo Santos, La Paz, and Ceritto Beach, Medano Beach, Chileno Beach, go down to the mariner to eat look around, explore the town outside the marina, go clubbing at night (Squid Roe, ArenaMango to name a few. Make sure to bring sun block the sun is very strong.

How to get around: taxi (pricey), car rental (make sure you are insurance savy) it shouldn't be more than $350.00 per week, the resort has a shuttle (free for owners, guests $5.00 each way, local bus system.

Cost to go: The marina/downtown (resort shuttle $0-$5.00 each way) (taxi $30.00 each way)
Local bus to Walmart (after taking the resort shuttle to Marina Fiesta $.65 each way
or after food / beverage shopping take a taxi back Walmart to the Encantada for
$20.00.
If taking a tour is not you thing public buses can get you to Todos Santos and La
Paz..
The units are spacious and clean, The beds very comfortable. The only thing the resort lacks is a swimable beach. We had a great two week stay and can't wait to get back next year.

Room Tip: Best View is in Phase I (usually reserved for owners)

We are owners here but have not been back since 2008. Man the construction that has taken place since are last visit is amazing. As soon as we arrived we were treated as special guests as we were escorted to the owners check in lobby. Luis checked us in quickly without any problems. We were then taken to another small room where there were appetizers and drinks for free. They gave us an opportunity to go and listen to an upgrade pitch for the resort which we kindly declined. The bad thing is they kept calling us to come and listen to the pitch. We were taken to our rooms by golf carts and we had a room that overlooks the pool with a beautiful view of the ocean. The property is well maintained and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a free shuttle to their sister property the Marina Fiesta which allows you to enjoy a night out on the town. We did eat at Maria's Restaurant which I will write another review for. This place is great for people who want to relax by the pool, read a book and unwind. If you are looking for a cruise ship resort this is not the place. Everything shuts down by 10:00 pm. There is also no beach access where you can swim in the water. We hear they are continuing to build and that the last phase will have beach access. My wife had a massage and pedicure that she enjoyed and they have specials on MWF. We will definitely miss this place.

Just returned from a great 7-day vacation in Cabo where we stayed at the Hacienda Encantada and all I can say is - we loved it! We chose this location because my fiancé's family owns a timeshare here. The Hacienda is really a gorgeous property which makes for really pretty photos. Golf carts are driven around by the staff to take you where you need to be like the pools, restaurants, or lobby. We walked half the time since it was really nice to stroll around.

This resort is located oceanfront about 10 minutes from the town. I personally liked this because I enjoyed feeling a little secluded and away from the crowds. We took the shuttle to their sister hotel Marina Fiesta on the days we wanted to check out the town and that was $5 each way/scheduled only every 2 hours. The resort has no beach because of the rocky shore but the awesome infinity pools overlooking the ocean more than make up for it. We probably spent half our time here. The pool bar was open with full service and their staff was very attentive.

Our only issue here was that their restaurants and drinks are quite expensive and since it's away from everything else, you can't exactly just walk to eat out. We solved this by making a trip to Walmart ($40 cab roundtrip) and stocked up on food and drinks to cook in our rooms. It's a pretty common thing to do there. Rooms come with a kitchen, dishes, and fridge.

Definitely a place to come relax!

We had timeshare points we needed to use so we used our Hawaii points and went there. I was a bit skeptical because we only needed 3,500 points vs 11,000 for a garden view in HI but we were pleasantly surprised. Our units (3) were all in a row overlooking the infinity pool. They were comfy, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The only drawback is there is no sandy beach here and it is a few miles from the center of town. I was perfectly content to stay at this beautiful property lying by the pool on most days. There is a shuttle into town for 5$ per person each way so it isn't a hassle being away from the center of town. We plan on staying there again the next time we go to Cabo.

First time visit to hacienda encantada with a wife and group of friends. Beautiful luxurious setting - buildings, landscaping, pools overlooking the ocean and crashing waves on the rocky shore. The grounds and rooms were kept very clean, staff courteous and very service oriented, though dinner a bit slow at the restaurant. Drink order oddly took a long time to come. Lounging at the pools really nice, recommend the chaise lounges just above the shore. Front pool has ocean and shoreline views, uphill pool does not. Pools close at 8pm - we would've like to swim later. Nice stargazing at night since your a few miles out of town. (Use skyview app to identify stars at that latitude.) However, no ocean access swimming from the resort - the shore is too rocky. There are two great swimming/snorkeling beaches a few miles away but you'll need a rental car or taxi to get there (Santa Maria and Chileno Bay). Regular shuttles into town helpful. My wife and I had massages at the spa - very nice facility and staff and 40% off certain days of the week. Rooms have fridge and stovetop so you can stock up supplies for lunch and breakfasts. Rooms very nice. Stage one (lower level) has great views. Ours had a non-working fridge but they came and replaced it with a working one. Phones were out too but then were fixed after a couple of days. Golf carts there to shuttle you up the hill if you want or good little walk. Would be nice if they could have electric motors instead of gas engines. All in all a wonderful luxurious comfortable destination and/or base to enjoy Cabo from.

Room Tip: Stage one (lower level closest to the shore) is preferable in my opinion. Higher floors (up to 4th...

This property, although small for a time share resort, is none the less beautiful. It is about a 10 minute cab ride into town as well. And with the cab prices in Cabo, it can make for an unexpected expense. Prices at the resort are also a bit high, $4.00 for an iced tea with no free refills as an example, and it goes on from there. My biggest complaint with the resort however, is that my wife's wedding ring was stolen while in the room. After we conducted an extensive search (which included maintenance taking off the trap on the sink) and calling home to verify it wasn't there, the only conclusion that we could come up with was that it was taken by hotel staff. No we didn't use the safe, so sure it was our fault, but I have never stayed anywhere else where things have gone missing. All in all we had a great vacation, but due to the several things I mentioned above, I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Pretty much all the rooms have some sort of ocean view.

We are so sorry about your lost, as you mentions we do everything as possible to find your ring. As you said the safe purpose is to avoid these kind of situations. Either way the hotel managers has begun an investigation.
