“Great Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We had a great time. Everyone was friendly and especially Fernan, the activities director. He was upbeat and so much fun all the time. I highly recommend this place. They offer hourly transportation into town. I liked having a car better

I love this place, the views are killer the pool and the food was simply awesome. When we checked in we met Mr Yatini who greeted us and told us if we had any issues to let him know, the room was perfect the place was top of the line, so needless to say we did not call upon him. Will come back to this gem again and again

Property is so amazing, great pools and play areas for the kids, and the lower pool with the beach over the cliff was just amazing! This resort had so many restaurants and the view over the rocks and was just so cool! Rooms are very spacious and have kitchens, the hotel has real nice finishes too fountains, and walkways, and it feels very Mexican authentic! We will defentley go back loved it, great spot too close to golf.

Beautiful surroundings, we watched whales from our balcony overlooking the ocean daily. The resort & grounds are fabulous, it's a quiet & beautiful place for a vacation, very well maintained, with spacious rooms & gorgeous views. Love the fact the same staff has been there these past three years, Paul Lopez-bellboy- & the concierge were extremely attentive & helpful. Not a "party" hotel, very low-key & friendly.

Room Tip: Suites on the second & third floors are best- the first tier is closest to the ocean, but both f...

Views do not dissapoint - breathtaking! You can lounge on the cliff overlooking the ocean. There is no swimming beach but you can walk along the beautiful rocky beach and explore tide pools. The grounds and rooms were impeccable. Be prepared for hilly walking (carts are also available). We agree with others on the food - it's okay but limited (esp. for dinner) and service sometimes slow and you need to sign for everything, since not everyone is all inclusive. Marta at 'El Patio' provided excelent service our entire stay! Overall, it was great value for the money!

Room Tip: Third floor rooms have amazing ocean views.

Exchanged into to HE for the last week of December via Interval. The studio we had was large, nicely decorated and well equipped for our needs. The bathroom was fabulous. The resort and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The gym facility is excellent. We had a great ocean view from our balcony. The staff was great and very helpful. We took the shuttle into Cabo most days - this was convenient as we did not have a car. HE was a nice peaceful contrast to the high activity of Cabo. We found the lunch menu at the pool bar very adequate although the drinks are a bit pricey. Our main complaint surrounds the pool bar which was often full of kids splashing about and not properly supervised. If I'm paying $10-$12 for a drink I'd rather not have pool water mixed into it. I also agree with a previous review - seems silly that you can't bring personal food or drink to the pool area. Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable week - a beautiful resort just outside Cabo, we would return.

Room Tip: Higher units are likely to offer better views.

Hacienda Encantada is our peaceful vacation place. Beautiful location about 10 minutes out of Cabo on the corridor to San Jose. No vendors, no parties, no drinking games. If you've been to the area before, rent a car, really the best way to get around. There is a shuttle to the Marina Fiesta a few times per day, and the taxi to town isn't bad if you aren't going often. The bus is not an option, too far from the hwy.

Decide prior to check in if you are doing the timeshare tour. After check-in you will be taken to "get your information". You CAN spend an hour here wasting your vacation while she tries to bully you, guilt you, and harrass you into agreeing to the presentation or you can just agree to do it right away. You'll get a nice free breakfast and learn about the property. We aren't interested in the timeshares presentations any longer, so politely said no thank you. When she tried to get us to confess to what other tours we were scheduled to do, we walked out. Not a big deal, Cabo area runs on the timeshare industry.

The valets and bell hops are the best, these fellows are always polite, helpful and always willing to answer questions.

Kitchens are stocked with all the utensils you'll need if you'd like to do some of your own cooking or mixing drinks.

Two pool areas are clean, nice, quiet, not crowded; Hot tubs were nice too, used them at night. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants on site this year.
