This hotel was amazing. We stayed in a Deluxe Junior Suite, which is one-bedroom suite with oceanview (room A56). It had one loveseat and one sofabed, a partial kitchen (sink, mini-fridge, plates, glasses, cutlery and microwave), a dining table, shower and vanity, and a large separate bedroom with double bed, alarm clock and safe. The property also had a multimedia room with about 6 really nice computer stations that have high-speed internet connections. A big-screen, satellite television room with ping-pong and foozball tables. A telephone room with free calls to the US. and a well appointed gym. Each and every staff member from the front desk to housekeeping were professional and very friendly.
My favorite thing about this place is that it was so quiet and laid back. There are a good number of stairways in this place but if you take them slow--about one per second--you shouldn't have any problem. Hey, what's the rush, anyway? The pool was wonderful, refreshing, and clean and the beach (with two palapas and several lounge chairs) was just footsteps away. Although it is a non-swimming beach due to strong undertows, I found that just wading in knee deep and watching the waves from the shore were enough. I must not forget to mention the restaurant which has excellent Mexican food from morning until night. The service was always great and accommodating.
Please note that, we did go during the off-season (August) so, perhaps many of the experiences written here won't apply during the high-season. However, during the week we were there, I don't think the hotel had many more than 10 rooms filled at any one time. In fact, we had the entire pool and hot tubs all to ourselves every single night!
Final story. One day we walked down the beach to the neighboring resort called Dreams. We were just curious if we were missing something by not going to a big resort. But after being charged 4 US dollars for a tiny bottle of water, seeing the crowded pool area, watching irritated people waiting in line at the restaurants and hearing unintelligible pop music blaring, we were so happy we chose the place we did. That said, we are happy clams.
