“Fantastic Anniversary Get-Away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

First off, let me qualify this by saying I live most of the year in Southern Baja. I stayed here once before but it was only a bedroom for us since most of our activities took us away during our stay. This time, though, we just wanted to get away for a day and a night and not break the bank. (High season in Cabo can be rough on the budget) Checked in and had a beautiful room with an ocean view. I would describe the rooms as homey, clean, and possess a certain charm. This is by no means the newest place on the corridor, but they keep it up very well. You feel like you are walking in among a small village with the sounds of water fountains bubbling away. It's a short walk down to the pool and bar and restaurant that has a patio with great views of the ocean and palms. For our dinner they put a table out on the sand close to a bonfire that was on top of a mound of sand that made it look like a volcano. Very romantic. The staff was very attentive and knew when to check on you and when to leave you alone. Food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was also very good with a great view of the ocean and the whales migrating. Did I mention free WIFI? While everyone else is charging for it nowadays it's refreshing to have it included. They have a movie projected on a screen over the pool every night, if you want to hang out there and have a snack or drink. There's a 3rd story lookout with hammocks and comfy chairs and tons of books that look out over the water. It's a great snuggle nook! This place has it dialed in and does what it does very well. Every one of the staff I talked to was very helpful and kind. We will be back.

Room Tip: Garden view rooms are nice, but ask for a ocean view or partial ocean view room. They are closer to...

I got a 6 days off and decided to go somewhere during these days and booked a flight and hotel a day before my trip. Stayed here for 4 nights, the location was great it's 10-15 min by car, and 15-20 by bus to town- San Lucas, there's a bus stop just across the street and you can waive them to stop and get on the bus. The fare cost $2 or 20 pesos one way. The hotel room is really big- it has a kitchen- sink/microwave/chinas/silverwares, dinning room, living room and the BR and bathroom, and you can have extra person for $10/night. Also they have a restaurant in the resort so you don't have to go out and eat if you like.

Beach front, not crowded, the waves are not that great though for swimming, they offer a massage and other they have other activities in the resort.

Great for families, couple, and for those who want to be in a quiet/peaceful getaway.

Room Tip: Pick or ask for the rooms in 20's or 30's so you can be close to the beach and the entrance.

We went to Los Cabos to look at property in the corridor for 4 days and didn't want to spend a lot of money for a resort stay when we would be busy looking at properties all day. In other words, we really weren't on vacation. There were also 3 of us and we needed 2 separate bedrooms. The Marbella Suites turned out to be the absolutely perfect solution. The hotel has an authentic Mexican charm and ambience and this resort has it's own beautiful beach which is quiet and seems like a private beach since 99% of the people at the beach are staying at the hotel. The rooms are comfortable but not overly equipped with amenities - no TV or radio. They are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The dining room serves a good variety of excellent dishes, the staff are extremely friendly and efficient and the views are spectacular. It is about a 15 minute drive into Cabo San Lucas and we were glad we rented a car for our stay because it gave us a lot of freedom and flexibility as well as easy commuting from the Marbella Suites to other locations. The corridor bus stops right outside the hotel or across the highway so you can take public transport going either direction along the corridor. We highly recommend this hotel for whatever reason you are visiting the area.

The Marbella Suites en la Playa has outstanding views with it's own unique Mexican authenticity. From the central staircase that leads from the Penthouse room / lobby to the beach, the hotel basks off the Sea of Cortez with soothing ocean breezes. During my stay in January, we could see whales passing by on their was around Baja.

Room Tip: Must choose a room with a view!

We had business meetings for a week. The accommodations, room, meals and staff met our every need with a smile! It's quiet enough if you want/need quiet and just 20 minutes from town for all the night life you'd like. For your next business meeting location... can't go wrong here!

I have stayed at marbella suites in 3 separate occasions, ever since the first time my experience has been great, like many have said it here many steps but I call them stairway to heaven cause that is what i felt when I reached the end of it, besides it keeps you in shape and helps to burn all those extra calories you'll get once you taste their delicious food.

The place is always clean and the rooms are apartments not your average hotel, right between cabo san lucas and san Jose so I recommend have own transportation, no TV on my room but never felt the need for it.

Room Tip: I have stayed in the rooms with garden view all 3 times and it's great but if you can afford par...

This is a gem in Cabo. So authentic. It is on the corridor and quiet with a great beach. If you want to be away from the noise and congestion this is that place. The staff is extremely helpful. The only thing that isn't great is the plumbing. It is older but it still works. The restaurant is very good as well. For the price you can't go wrong here.
