A few blocks from the strip but we had no problems walking home even at 4am. The staff were nice and the manager worked with us, after several conversations, and reduced our room fee to a $100 a night. We had rented the suite with a partial room divider only to discover that no such room existed. We stayed on the third floor, corner room. It was noisy at night because of local traffic and sirens. I had nightmares from the noise ( the tequila may have had something to do with it also ). The free breakfast is limited but sufficient, I added toast for $3. The Pool side bar was not open very often, very few people were ever at the pool. The shower in the room was nice but the water pressure was the worst I have experienced in Mexico. There is internet access across the street at a local shop for cheap. A room key is needed to plug into the air conditioner for it to run so the room was warm upon return. Overall it wasn't bad if you want to save money. It's about three city blocks to the mall and marina and about mile walk to the beach, it's best to take a water Taxi from the marina.

The Comfort Inn Los Cabos was a very nice place to stay. This hotel is quite close to the marina and the mall. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was good. A very good middle of the line hotel. Ther courtyard was beautiful. This was my second time to cabo and I will return to the Comfort Inn.

Just got back Sunday from a week in Cabo San Lucas Comfort Inn. Booked a last minute deal thru Apple Vacations. This was the first year I have seen a direct charter flight out on St Louis, and this was our first trip to Cabo. This is a very nice clean TWO STAR hotel. One draw back to our room (#231) was it had only 2 drawers and a small closit with 8 hangers to keep a weeks worth of clothes in, but we saw other rooms that had 6 drawers. The rooms are small but nice. No view to speak of, we were on the back (quite) side away from the street. Very nice pool area, never move than half a dozen or so using it, a little cool but very refreshing after the 10 minute walk back from the beach. The pool bar seemed to open about 3pm and close about 7pm the days it did open. Never had a drink there, but did see a few people there 1 or 2 times. Very helpful staff. The maids seemed to work very hard for the $2 dollar bill tip we left every day.

As for the full American breakfast included, it is a Mexican style Full American breakfast. It is coffee (we don't drink coffee) and very small glass on a Tang like OJ, 2 eggs and one choice of bacon, ham or sausage (it was a hot dog cut up into chucks if you order your eggs with sausage scrambled). If you order your eggs fried with a bacon side you get 1 piece of bacon. If you order your eggs scrambled with bacon, you get that one piece of bacon cut up in your eggs. You can also get the eggs scrambled meicasn style. The brakfast come with fried taters (never browned) beans and tortillas. Toast with butter and jam will cost ya. But it was good, just not my idea of a full American breakfast. They do have more choices on the menu for a price. It is in a good location for exploring Cabo, 10 minute walk to the beach, 8 minute walk to the marina, bars, eatings place all around. Great taco pastor 1/2 block up the street. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

If you are looking for a clean, modern (not luxurious) downtown hotel to base a Cabo San Lucas vacation from, you can't go wrong with the Comfort Inn. Formerly a Best Western, it's located on Leona Vacario Street, about two blocks from the Paraiso Mall and within a ten minute walk of the marina and most restaurants and bars in town, this hotel has clean, secure rooms, air conditioning that worked all the time we were there, plenty of hot water, a beautiful pool area (pool is unheated) with a swim up bar, and includes breakfast in the price. Including tax it was about $90 per night during our February say. Since the hotel is only a few years old, its infrastructure seems to work pretty well. No plumbing problems, odors, power outages, etc. were experienced. And the people there are friendly and helpful, especially Felix, the breakfast server and night bartender. Fair warning though, this is a good two star hotel, and if you are expecting luxury, you will be disappointed. We weren't disappointed, and will return again.
