We stayed at the Pacifica Feb 8th-13th, (not long enough). It was a wonderful vacation! The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The aroma of lavender lingered through out the lobby, how refreshing! We upgraded to one of the suites and I am so glad that we did! Our balcony had beautiful views of the ocean and the property. My husband and I had couples massage and pedicures at the spa. And I had a hour and 1/2 facial. What a nice treat! We had dinner on the beach our last night. That was the most romantic dinner I have ever had. They set up a table for dinner and afterwards you can lounge on the bed on the beach! It was an experience I will never forget. We ate breakfast at the Sempre almost every morning and lunch by the pool most days! The deli has great breakfast sandwiches, we discovered that our last day.

We have been to Cabo several times and have done most things for entertainment. We have gone to Totos Santos to see Hotel California, everyone should at least go once! Of course we have been to Squid Roe, Giggling Marlins, and Cabo Wabo. We were very dissappointed in Cabo Wabo, they took their pizzas off the menu! They made the best pizzas! The Lobster House has the best lobster and banana's foster! You need to eat outside, better atmosphere! The jewerly store below is nice too! :) We tried a new place called Peacocks, it was a neat place! Good food! While we were there we went on the sunset cruise, the Caborey! They take you out to Lover's Beach and the El Arco. It was whale season, so we seen alot of whales and their babies. The cruise was nice but my husband and I felt sea sick, so we wished we would have took a little boat over and seen the sights and ate on land! But you live and learn.

While we were at the Pacifica, we did the timeshare spill. They gave us $300 toward our room for food and drinks! We bought a voucher for the spa that was worth $100 for $50. And of course we bought a timeshare at Sunset Beach! Cabo is our favorite place so it was a good investment for us!

This trip we spent most days at the resort. While laying by the pool, it feels like paradise! I am 28 years old and for once in my life I relaxed and enjoyed soaking up the sun. We usually are running around trying to get everthing in before we leave. This vacation was the best ever! We had nights at the jacuzzi and the Wine Bar!

Please do not let any negative reviews keep you away from this property, it is beautiful. When it was time to go home, I wanted to stay two more days! Usually by the end of our trips I am ready to get in my own bed, but this time was different. To escape from real life for 5 days was wonderful. We have been home for a week now and I think everday when I will get to go back. I am so happy that we bought a timeshare in cabo, that insures me a vacation every year!

We stayed at the Pacifica Feb. 10th thru Feb. 16th and it was the most awesome experience ever. From the moment you get there to the moment you leave (which was hard to do). They greet you with a damp lavender scented wash cloth handed to you with silver tongs. Since we were indeed hot, that was such a nice unexpected touch. Everyone was so nice and friendly including the timeshare ladies (the only downside; however, they left us alone after declining). The room was impressive with wonderful views of the sunrise and since we were on the end of the building and our balcony wrapped around we had sunset views as well. Our maid made me a towell doll that was so cute and appreciated. The bath was a nice size and the water pressure was fine. We liked the marble and tile.

You must try the fish or shrimp tacos at the pool bar. Best meal I had. The drinks were outstanding, especially the strawberry dacquiri at the piano bar. Be sure and read the activities and sign up for a few. We were disappointed that not enough people signed up for salsa dance lessons. We would have enjoyed that.

The beach patrol is not a problem unless you have an attitude problem yourself. We enjoyed talking to them. They are only doing their job.

The shuttles to the sister resorts is nice also. Saves taxi money except that you have to get off and wait around to get back on to go to the next resort.

By going to the sister resorts, we were so thankful that we chose Pacifica. Pacifica lends itself to quietness, serenity and peacefulness that the others do not have. Well worth the hassle of getting to town. Once, during our meal at Seimpre, a table was getting loud (and annoying); however, they were asked to quite down and we appreciated that.

The landscaping is state of the art and the people are the happiest I have ever been around.

The timeshare sharks at the airport are a problem and Cabo needs to do something about that. It leaves a sour note. When people deplane, they are ready to start their vacation. Also, the bracelet guys at the marina are annoying.

Overall a very pleasant experience. If I ever return to Cabo, will stay at the Pacifica.

This hotel was built just a few years ago and is nicely positioned on the beach on the Pacific side of Los Cabos. It is a tranquil place enhanced by pools and flowing water, but I suspect there is something they are trying to hide or protect.
The beach has a very large sign on it declaring itself to be a public beach, but warning of currents and rip tides and suggesting that you should not swim in the water. That is good advice, however I am very suspicious of why you are not allowed to walk on a large stretch of this PUBLIC beach. To the left of the hotel ,on the beach, stands a security guard, all day and most of the night. On walking even a few feet to the left we were asked by the guard not to walk any furthur, because , he said, turtles nested there. An internet search tells you that turtles do nest on a beach near Los Cabos, but it is 6 klms to the north of this location.Walking furthur, we were asked to stop and when we reminded him that this was a public beach he claimed that "his job" would be at stake. We invited him to walk with us and about 100 yards further on, another ARMED guard ran out of a hut on the beach and proceeded to give us the turtle story once again and threated us to stop walking. We also invited him to walk with us, whereupon he became very agitated and shouted at us. This was awful. I understand that the owner of the Pueblo Bonita chain of hotels lives in a house at the end of the beach but he has no right to stop anyone walking on a PUBLIC beach. On the other side of his rocky compound is another hotel in the chain and there are no armed guards on that beach , although there is another hut with a guard inside. This is also the first five star hotel we have stayed in where we were ingnored by staff in the concierge office, spoken rudely to by the staff at reception and where my shoes were stolen from outside my door

We just returned from a week stay at the Pacifica. Our trip was amazing and we had the best time. I am truly shocked to see some of the recent posts of bad experiences that others had. We had the most memorable, relaxing experience ever. Going to the Pacifica you should know what to expect, it is a tranquil, relaxing, spa-like experience. And, yes there is spa music (lightly) playing throughout the pool area; however, it is very low and relaxing. I couldn't believe someone complained about this in an earlier post. Many of the restaurants at the resort and in Cabo are expensive. If you know this ahead of time, then you shouldn't be complaining on this website. The deli at the hotel and the poolside dining are pretty reasonably priced and offer great food. There are also restaurants at sister properties that offer great food for a range of prices.

We spent a considerable amount of money, but I am not here complaining about it. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us and we did everything and ate everywhere we wanted to. Because we choose upscale dining and dining in the resorts we also did not get sick. You can easily go to Cabo and eat in town or in other restaurants, but you might have a chance of getting sick as others did. We went to Ediths and found the food to be great; not the friendliest service, but great food. La Nao next door at the Sunset also had great food and special even nights. There are Mexican, Asian, and Italian nights with large buffets and made-to-order stations. They will make you fresh pasta with your own selections on Italian night. The buffet (including made-to-order station and unlimited desserts) was $30.00 per person. However, you save about $25.00 in cabs by eating at the Sunset. The shuttle takes you for free. Going to town will cost you $12-$15 each way.

The staff at the Pacifica and the Pueblo Bonito resorts were beyond friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. We too were located on a ground floor and changed to a higher room the next day, no problem. My only complaint (and it is so minor I debated putting it on) was that it did take the maids quite a while to clean rooms and to come for turndown. Often our room wasn't cleaned until 4 or 5 o'clock and then turndown didn't occur until 9pm. This may be why some people had to wait for their rooms upon arrival. The hotel grounds and rooms were cleaned thoroughly though. I constantly saw staff tidying up the pool area, restrooms, and sweeping floors.

As far as the shuttle service is concerned, we found this to be helpful and worthwhile. The Sunset Beach property is right next door and shuttles run every half an hour. We went here often for dinner and to catch the shuttle to the Rose (in town). I had no complaints with the shuttle service. It easily saved us over $100 or more in cabs. As long as you find out shuttle times and plan accordingly, you shouldn't ever have to wait more than 5-10 minutes for the shuttle.

On the timeshare note, contrary to what others said, we were not even bothered by staff about the presentations. They did ask us upon arrival. However, we were not interested in paying any money up front and asked for other arrangements. As soon as they wouldn't deal any better with us, they never asked again. Intersting enough, we went back a second time to ask them to give us a better deal and more spa credits and they said no! We were a little dissapointed because we were willing to sit through the presentation for the $200 spending money. Oh well, we had more time at the pool and towards our vacation. I would not even worry about them bothering you at all... they were friendly and not a problem.

The conceirge at the Pacifica is more than friendly and willing to assist you. We arrainged brunch and many dinners of which we were not dissapointed. I suggest doing a whale watching excursion or sunset cruise. The larger boats are really nice and give you unlimited drinks and lunch or dinner. Conceirge can also arrange this for you. This was definitely a fun and memorable experience.

As I mentioned earlier, if you know what to expect at the Pacifica, you should have no complaints. I found the atmosphere to be extremely calming and relaxing. Definitely a great getaway from busy everyday life. I would stay here again and would look forward to it.

This place is heavenly. I booked a room for my girlfriend and I for six nights at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica through Expedia and had a better vacation than I imagined possible. The online trip planning experience was extremely smooth. The hotel is just so gorgeous and the setting so serene that someone would have to be a real grouch not to have a nice stay. The staff and service were excellent, the room was beautiful, and the food was really much better than I'd expected. I'd have a hard time staying somewhere else upon returning to Cabo. The only minor drawback of staying here is the fact that the beautiful private beach is unsafe for swimming. Keep in mind that this is the ONLY thing that isn't absolutely perfect here.

Our suite was extremely nice. Very clean and well tended. The maids were great and folded animals out of our towels every morning and again for turn-down service! The bed was cloud-like and we loved the pillow menu. The room was actually very spacious and beautifully designed. So well designed in fact with such an amazing view that we had trouble finding reasons to leave the room at times. Nice large shower and Room service was fast and excellent. We ate a lovely breakfast on our balcony each morning. Lunches are best had at the swim up bar in the pool. We used the gym in the sleek and modern spa. There was an excellent personal trainer there who assisted us with stretching at no cost.

With such attentive and stealthy service at the hotel, we found that we couldn't get any better help anywhere else in Cabo. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Go soon as a ritz carleton and shopping mall will be built shortly on this temporarily private stretch of pristine beach.
