My husband and I just got back from a 3 night stay at the resort. We chose this resort in particular because we both have high stress jobs and really were looking to disconnect. The resort itself is beautiful and it would have been completely relaxing except for the whole timeshare issue! When we checked in, we were told to check in at the guest services desk. Isabel (I think that was her name) told us about their sister resort right away and let us know we should go there for a "tour of the grounds, so you can get acquainted". We basically felt pressured to give her a $20 deposit to book a time for the "tour". If we did not go, we would be refunded the $20. She let us know 3 times that if we don't show up, she did not get paid. Although they did offer us numerous discounts as like all the other reviews, our time was precious and did not feel like dealing with it so we didn't go. Be warned, if you do give them a deposit, and miss the presentation, you have to go to Sunset beach to pick it up. We were not told that until we were about to check out, and this was very annoying, as we had a plane to catch.
The rooms were nice but you can hear footsteps and doors opening and closing above you. Great view from our room, ocean and pool area.
The food at Siempre was ok, not the best but you really don't have many options. The beef tacos at the pool bar were excellent however, and highly recommended. I was disappointed with this resort. Perhaps I was expecting too much. I don't think that I will be back to this resort again.
