My husband and I just got back from a 3 night stay at the resort. We chose this resort in particular because we both have high stress jobs and really were looking to disconnect. The resort itself is beautiful and it would have been completely relaxing except for the whole timeshare issue! When we checked in, we were told to check in at the guest services desk. Isabel (I think that was her name) told us about their sister resort right away and let us know we should go there for a "tour of the grounds, so you can get acquainted". We basically felt pressured to give her a $20 deposit to book a time for the "tour". If we did not go, we would be refunded the $20. She let us know 3 times that if we don't show up, she did not get paid. Although they did offer us numerous discounts as like all the other reviews, our time was precious and did not feel like dealing with it so we didn't go. Be warned, if you do give them a deposit, and miss the presentation, you have to go to Sunset beach to pick it up. We were not told that until we were about to check out, and this was very annoying, as we had a plane to catch.
The rooms were nice but you can hear footsteps and doors opening and closing above you. Great view from our room, ocean and pool area.
The food at Siempre was ok, not the best but you really don't have many options. The beef tacos at the pool bar were excellent however, and highly recommended. I was disappointed with this resort. Perhaps I was expecting too much. I don't think that I will be back to this resort again.

How do you plan a romantic honeymoon in Cabo during Spring Break? Stay on the Pacific side at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica.

This ultra-private, gated resort community was the perfect place to sip margaritas by the pool in an adult only environment. We enjoyed gorgeous views of the Pacific from our room and from the large pool area. Although the current was too strong for swimming in the ocean near the hotel, the pool area was just as enjoyable.

Rooms were very large and the minimal desert decor was comfortable. There was no tub however and the Neutrogena bath products were a little disappointing to find in a luxury spa resort.

A complimentary shuttle took us to a sister property in town where we could stroll the busy beach and try local restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel was great for dinner but pricey.

The spa has a nice soaking pool and cold plunge but no coed facility. It is a very modern, stark environment and many therapists walking around slightly spoiled the tranquility, but overall the experience was a good one.

The only drawback was the cost of beverages. At the wine bar we paid $15 for each mixed drink. Room service was also very expensive. The pool bar was a much better value.

Ok so we went to the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica for some relaxation and fun in the sun. I knew going in that it was a holistic retreat and wouldn't be loud, or crazy. But I had no idea that talking to your friends at the pool rather then reading a book was unheard of.
I went with 2 friends all in our mid 30 and we were just having a few drinks and were constantly told to be quite. The hotel also has a "no guests" after 11:00pm policy. I understand if we were bringing back strang guys but my other girlfriend and her sister who were staying at the Hilton? I don't understand this at all. We were having a bithday celebration and my friend couldn't even come back to our room to help decorate.
Other issues...the food and drinks are outrageous. They are the same price as drinks at the Las Ventanas. We typically had a $250.00 + bar tab a day for 3 people.
The rooms are VERY small and the walls are thin. we could hear everything in the rooms above us and next to us. So we basically got NO sleep the entire time.
Would I go back - maybe when I am 50 and really just want some quiet time. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was nice but for that price I will stay at the Las ventanas -which we did for a night. Now that hotel is worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister and I spent four days at Pacifica in mid-March. We loved the architecture and the meticulous landscaping on the grounds. There are fountains and pools everywhere that offset the desert effect of the the plantings. I'm a swimmer and I loved the main pool... perfect temperature and depth. Most spectacular is the fact that this hotel sits on about a mile long beach and there are NO other hotels on the beach. We would go for walks on the beach every morning and see 3 or 4 other people, max, on our walks.
All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I had two massages and a salt rub at the spa, and they were all excellent.
The downsides: As mentioned in other reviews, they play "new age" music on the grounds. This didn't bother us a great deal when we were sitting around the pool during the day, but we found it annoying in the evening. We had a ground floor room and pretty much felt like we had to close our patio door to shut out the music, when we would have rather had fresh air.
A couple of nights our sleep was disturbed by some periodic banging noises. We never did figure out if it was someone letting their door slam, or ?? We probably should have complained and/or asked to be moved early on, but we were only there for four days and we were lazy :-)
When we were checking in, we did get a short pitch to go to the other hotel for a timeshare presentation (Sunset Beach). We declined and it wasn't a problem. However we didn't like it when we went to Sunset Beach for dinner, and got accosted AGAIN by the restaurant manager, who stopped by our table, started out with friendly chit-chat, and then segued into the pitch for us to go to the presentation.
These were minor annoyances and overall I would recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for someplace away from the crowds in Cabo.

My husband and I went to the Pacifica for our honeymoon from March 11 - 18. The only negative was being "suckered into" the timeshare presentation. When we checked in, we were told to go to the hostess desk before they showed us to our room. We assumed it was for them to tell us about the hotel: where the spa was, info about the restaurants, pool activities, etc. Instead it was a push to get us to check out the Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach. We were offered $150 in spa treatments, $100 for the Siempre restaurant, 4 free drinks (which at $10 each for a margarita, this was a better deal than we anticipated), and half off Jeep rental. It's one thing to be bombarded at the airport when you're expecting it but it was offensive and sneaky for them to accost us in our own hotel. We stupidly ended up signing up for a 9am presentation the next day. As is typical, the guy assigned to us was sweet until he realized about 45 minutes into the presentation that we weren't buying. (How many people can make a decision to purchase a $50,000 time share in a 2 hour time span?!) He then became extremely rude and told us that his job was to sell time shares, not to be our tour guide. He crumpled up the info sheet he was writing on and said, "Let's just cancel this now and forfeit your gifts." I told him that wasn't fair since we already had time invested. In order for him to be nice to us and get our gifts, I pretended that he swayed me and that we might be interested after all. After that first morning, the rest of the trip was perfect.

We specifically wanted a place that was away from the Spring Break crowds in Cabo. It was absolutely beautiful: very peaceful, serene and relaxing. The smell of lavendar the moment you walk into the lobby was a nice touch. The architecture is zen-like and soothing.

We loved that the Pacifica was far from any other resort. It felt like we were in our own little world. We would take long walks on the beach in the morning without seeing another person the whole time.

The pool area was never crowded even though we were told the hotel was at 95% capacity. The staff was very professional and friendly - always remembering our names.

The Siempre restaurant was delicious - expensive, but very good as was the Aire restaurant by the pool.
