“Beyond Expectations”

I spent an incredible 4 days/3 nights at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica all-inclusive resort last weekend for a getaway with 7 other girls. The resort staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were all taken care of! The rooms were clean and spacious, the showers luxurious, the pool immaculate, and the food mouthwateringly delicious. The Sunday brunch was INCREDIBLE!!! They served everything from croissants to chilaquiles to oysters.

This resort is adults-only, which was a nice change from other all-inclusives in Cabo that are more family-oriented. No kids running around the pool made for some excellent sun & swim time, complete with bottomless beverage service! Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is well off the beaten path, which is perfect if you're looking for seclusion and relaxation. The cabs into downtown Cabo San Lucas are very affordable ($3/person?), and it's only about a 15 minute ride to all the bars, restaurants and shopping Cabo has to offer.

Our experience overall was more than we hoped for. From the moment we arrived on-site, we felt welcome and appreciated. I highly recommend staying here for a honeymoon or a quiet retreat with a loved one or closed friends.

Room Tip: We stayed in the most affordable room they offered (ground floor, "garden view"), but coul...

Had a great holiday. We arrived late due to travel connections and missed bus to hotel because our bags didn't make connecting flight and we have to fill out forms to have bags delivered when they arrived. This was no fault of the hotel. A shuttle was provided to get us to the hotel.. The only complaint I have is when we arrived we missed the orientation and were diverted to a kiosk to sign up for time shares. We went to the 90 minute (3hr) presentation for which we received a $300 voucher to the spa. The staff were good to us and the activities director was a blast. For the most part the food was good, but as on any vacation there are always a few items on the menu that have an acquired taste. One more restaurant would be a good idea. We did enjoy our vacation and would go back to this resort.

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is a fantastic property that offers a tranquil, secluded vacation feel while also being close enough to venture into town for a great visit to Los Cabos. The couples massage and spa were also especially relaxing. We visited one of the sister properties one of the days which was also a nice option to have. Such a great vacation experience!

We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica in March. After a long, cold winter we had high hopes for this trip and it did not disappoint!

Pros:
This resort is away from the hotel corridor so the beach is very quiet and peaceful. We loved whale watching, walking along the shoreline, and morning BOGA (beach yoga). The spa was worth every penny - maybe the best massage I have ever had. Food is mostly good - our favorite meals came from the pool grill!

Cons:
The front desk reception is the weakest link. After a warm welcome from the bellboy we stood and waited...and waited....and waited to be told our room was not ready. No property map was provided, no time frame was given for us to check back, nada. We took matters into our own hands and went exploring on our own + booked dinner reservations for our stay but it was still frustrating. Other times that we visited the front desk (for currency exchange, questions, check-out) we had the same experience.

Room Tip: If you want to go to the spa, wait it out a couple days if possible. They do complimentary chair ma...

Best maternity massage I've received! Rosa Maria is a fantastic massage therapist.

Our stay was very relaxing, accommodating and quiet. If you're looking for a nice slow pace, with great service, this resort is the place!

Great room, views, food and service. We loved spending our time on the beach beds and the great service from drinks to lunch brought to us by Jonathan. Javier and Ramon go out of their way to make a vacation the best!

My wife and I spent a week at Pacifica in March and we couldn't be happier. As others have written, Pacifica is not a resort for folks wanting non-stop action and lots of flashy entertainment. If you are looking for a quiet atmosphere, excellent food, no crowds, and spectacular scenery this is the place for you. I have visited Pacifica many times in the past as a guest at PBSB but have never actually stayed there. We were a little worried about the AI but were we ever surprised and pleased!! Siempre for breakfast, lunch and dinner was always exceptional. The nightly theme dinners poolside were also a treat and the variety was much appreciated. Poolside lunches were also very good. Fish tacos became a daily lunch item for me. We did not eat at the sushi restaurant so I can't comment on it. Our original plan was to eat in town a couple of evenings and skip the AI but we were so pleased we never left for a meal.

We were also concerned about the perceived decrease in service due to the resort being an AI resort. This may be true at other resorts but it is a myth at Pacifica. We actually found the service to be BETTER at Pacifica than any other resort we have visited. I actually started collecting names of the staff who provided service that was worthy of recognition. I did collect many names and will list them below but the truth of the matter is that we did not experience anyone who did not provide excellent service for us. So, I feel a little bad about listing only a few names and not listing everyone but I want these individuals to be noted:

Front Desk: Daniel helped us from the very beginning with a reservation issue and really saved the day for us.

Siempre: these servers were exceptional-Leopoldi, Javier, Alex, Frang, and Julio. I left my hat at the table one morning and Frang chased me down across the resort to return it!!

Poolside and Beach beds: Gregario, Blanca, Sandra-all just great

Theme night-Jorge really went above and beyond for us one evening

Activities staff-Edgar took us on a behind the scenes tour and made it very special.

Suggestions for improvement:

Lounge chairs at the pools were filled fairly early every morning. I am not sure what can be done with this issue but you have to be at the pool pretty early to get a chair with shade or even get a chair.

Coffee makers in the rooms would be nice.

We had one minor glitch with room service when coffee and pastries never arrived one morning.

The afternoon pool activities got a little loud some days and interfered with the Zen-like atmosphere of the reasort.

These are only minor issues. I will return to the Pacifica as soon as possible. I give it my highest recommendation
