“Beautiful and peaceful resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

The staff at the Pacifica was exceptional. They were so polite and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, particularly at Siempre was top notch. The resort is very quiet and relaxing and a great place for couples. I liked that we also were able to visit their sister resorts (Sunset and Rose) and still use our all inclusive wrist bands. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Staff across the board go out of their way to meet your needs. We upgraded to a suite and in our opinion well worth it. Our butler Ramon was earnest and helpful. Conceirge on several occasions was great yoo. Siempre dining staff Christian, Frang and Gregoire made our meals very nice. Maid Matilde was terrific and very pleasant. i have read a few negatvie reviews, and would add that anytime you vacation at an all inclusive you will relax and enjoy yourself more if you remember yiu are in Mexico and there is a learning curve. Chill out and enjoy!!!

Room Tip: Upgrade to suite

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was just perfect. The Spa was amazing, the grounds were well kept, the food was great, and the drinks were good. The mixed one's definately needed a boost of alcohol, but all and all amazing. Even the food by the pool was good, I recommend the Shrimp cocktail. It was a perfect little peaceful getaway for me and my spouse.

This is the first trip advisor review that I (we) have written. We fluked upon PB resorts in April 2012 when we were supposed to be on our way to Jasper Alberta for a winter get-a-way with our son for spring break. I couldn't take the snow any longer and 5 days before our "winter trip" cancelled all plans and went online and stumbled across a west jet vacation to Mazatlan (PB Emerald Bay). We booked it. This was our first all-inclusive trip anywhere. We typically travel to Italy, sometimes Mexico, and lots of city trips. We are in the hotel business with a luxury brand, so we understand the importance of service, quality of food and the overall experience. PB Pacifica is now our second all inclusive trip. What great value! Friendly staff, good food, clean rooms, maintained grounds, fabulous spa, lovely aroma in the lobby. The pool tiles indeed need a lot of work. The pools need to be closed and repaired. Perhaps if the renovation plan was communicated to guests, then there would be less complaints. The pools are still swimmable though.........If you visit here with an open mind, come to relax and leave your problems behind, you will experience the beauty of this private little ocean front gem! I am writing this while drinking coffee at the resort watching the waves of the Pacific crash on the beach.

Room Tip: Pay to upgrade to an upper level with a better ocean view. Don't expect it for free. You get wha...

We went down to Cabo for my birthday and stayed at the PB Pacific for a week in one of their one bedroom suites, total cost $3,800 USD. This is our 7th time staying at PB properties in Cabo. Now keep in mind that this price is part of their 'All Inclusive' program where you have food and booze included. Well folks what inevitably happens when you switch to all inclusive is that the service and quality of the place suffers. The food was average (i'm being generous) but the service was awful. I asked why the service was so bad to one of the waiters and he said that since the management decided to go all inclusive their tips were down 80% so their is no incentive to do more than the minimum just to not get fired.

The problem is when you walk around with a wrist band with identifies you as an all inclusive guest you don't have to pay for anything. There is no bill and the only way you can tip is with cash. Needless to say the staff was very unhappy and inevitably it showed in their attitude. Normally Cabo is very customer service focused but you can imagine when you change the program to all inclusive and tips all but disappear things go south fast.

The hotel itself looks like it hasn't been renovated in about 10 years. I got the impression that the chain is suffering and they're trying to squeeze ever penny they can out of the place without really paying much attention to quality or service.

In short I would not recommend going to Pacifica or any of the other PB properties (we found that the same service issues existed at the blanco, rose and sunset) until they make peace with their staff and figure out how to come back to a customer service focus.

We stayed first two weeks in March 2013.

The staff were right on the ball and our room though not fancy was good, you could leave the glass door ajar and hear the surf.

The food was great with the restaurant spot on with a great variety of good stuff, we like the sushi and indulged on a few occasions, however there is no fast meal in either count on 2-3 hours with a group. Sunday brunch? a must many tasty treats there.

The drinks, a bonus with brand name although limed quantities.

I always bring a surf rod to Mexico and it paid off with a nice sierra and Jack, there was good action right in front of the hotel, so bring a bit of gear. I had a 9' rod 25lb mono and 3-4 once minnow jigs, popper plugs. There is supposed to be hammer head sharks in the area so if you use bait you might get one of those puppies.

The beach is awesome it goes for a mile and is fairly private with this the only hotel on the sand, waves there are killer do not get close to the surf. We saw a "good swimmer" get pummeled by the sea on a very calm day, I could see getting wiped out easy, I stayed well back while fishing.

Check out the Rosa and Blanco, nice place and right on Madno beach see the vendors an tour promoters, the go back and see how good you have it.

There is little action at this place after dinner, the fire pits were fun but last call......10 pm there.

They will tack on a Charity fee on the visa at check out with out permission, I forgot the name , and wanted to check it out when I got home , but lost the card. .

WIFI is weak in spots but there and multiple users plug up the broadband, making it slow, I had to do some business and used there computer in the coffee shop at $20.00 an hour (no guest service there)

We got s great deal for two weeks, I wouldn't pay double to go back, but if I got as good of deal....I would. (someplace new every year)

Room Tip: Third floor all the way good view of the wales.
