Stayed at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica for 4 nights to celebrate our birthday's. First, the arrival into Cabo airport...after you go through Customs, just walk thru room # 1 and room # 2 and head for the outside curb--everyone (and I mean everyone!) in those 2 rooms are trying to rope you in for a time share presentation. We made prior arrangements with Pueblo Bonito for the shuttle to the hotel. From the time we arrived in Cabo to the time we arrived at the hotel it took 2 hours! The one major drawback to the shuttle.

The hotel is, as everyone else has said, beautiful and peaceful. Check in was pleasant enough and the "ladies" tried to sign us up for the time share presentation, which we declined.

The bellman took us to our room, which unfortunately was on the 1st floor. The advertisement for this hotel that says "all ocean view rooms" is incorrect. Our first floor room had NO ocean view, looked at a walkway, and had 2 queen beds, even though I had requested a king bed in advance. The person at the front desk was VERY nice...he showed us another room one floor up...still 2 queens. So, we ended up having to wait a few hours for a view room with a king bed to be available. Once we moved it was a great room. Other reviews on the shower are correct--I don't know where they found the shower head and the door arrangement were weird. Thank you to previous reviewers--we brought our own coffee.

Pluses: the shrimp tempura tacos at the pool bar restaurant, the wonderful pool that was not crowded, no children, the massage (although it was expensive). Dinner over at PB Sunset Beach at La Nao Restaurant--outside ocean view table and great food!.

Minuses: breakfast in the main restaurant at the hotel-slow service, the pizza at the pool bar restaurant--bad!, distance from the main town of Cabo San Lucas, the $15 laundry bag (whatever you do, do not take home the laundry bag...they charged us $15 for it!).

Overall, it was a very positive vacation--very relaxing, which is exactly why we went there!

My husband and I just returned last night from our stay at the Pacifica. It was the best resort experience we have ever had. This is not the resort to stay if you want to party like a rock star. This place is for pure relaxation. The resort location is perfect. It is secluded on its own private beach that does not have one vendor to bother you. It is also about 5 minutes from downtown party central.You have the best of both worlds. We went out on day trips and could not wait to get back to the hotel. The rooms are beauitful and so are the views. It is very romantic. The in room mini-bar is expensive($9 water) but you can bring in your own. We did with no problems. We did a spa day that was wonderful. The Spa prices are average. the pools side cafe is very good. Shrimps tacos ROCK. The drinks are pricey but stiff. The staff was great. We are allready planning our next visit to the pacifica. Go! You wil not regret it.

The Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is part of a group of properties outside the town of Cabo...it is the furthest away from town, so it isn't ideal if you're up for the partying and shopping of downtown. But, it is adults only, quiet, on a beautiful stretch of beach, and a perfect place to watch the migrating whales. There is free transportation between the properties (you can access their services as a Pacficia guest) but there's no need to leave the Pacifica. The food is pricey in the restaurant (head to the deli for cheaper, lighter, and more convenient fare). The pool and beach access are more than lovely (even with those covered beach beds that are in movies), the spa is luxiurious, and the rooms are beautiful...complete with private patios and beautiful stone work. The grounds are unique and impeccable, and there is even a Zen walking maze and an outdoor firepit with cozy chairs. The staff is friendly, if a bit unorganized. But, if you get into the "hora Mexicana" none of that matters. The only reccommendation is to double and triple check your airport transfer with the hotel (I was stranded at the airport by the hotel-hired car service). It truly is a relaxing experience. I spent a bachelorette weekend there with a close girlfriend, and we had a fantastic trip...full of good wine, good company, and a lot of peace and quiet.

We absolutely loved everything about our visit. The place is absolutely amazing, the staff couldn't be nicer, the rooms were top notch. We were blown away that you could stay at a place this nice for this low of a price. We are making it an annual trip.
