This is not about my stay at the hotel. I haven't stayed at the Casa Contenta, not for lack of trying (book early!!!!) But I wanted to give my whole-hearted appreciation for Craig for his incredibly prompt response to my reservation inquiries. When the room I wanted was not available, he immediately suggested alternatives and followed up with me when I hadn't confirmed one way or the other. He was wonderful and very attentive, willing to suggest alternative lodgings since there was no space for me at their inn. Read the other reviews for the hotel space and accommodation type, but for sheer kindness and innkeeper goodness, Craig (and I can only assume Lori as well) were truly wonderful. Finding hosts like that is perhaps the most important part of a great Mexican vacation. Whenever I return to Cabo, I am definitely going to try reserving with them again.

Casa Contenta is a little jewel and is one of the nicest Bed-and-Breakfasts that we have ever stayed at.

The Inn is located very close to Cabo San Lucas and the hillside elevation provides you with spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez, the famous Arch, and the town of Cabo.

The building is very tidy and well-maintained, in fact, near-perfect. The gardens and landscaping and are beautiful and relaxing. There is an abundance of native plants with flowers everywhere and there many species of birds that enjoy this little oasis.

The structure is actually four stories high, but the living areas are on the first and second floors. The pool and breakfast area are located at the second level. You can enjoy both sun and shade outside all the livings areas.

The home is beautiful and the interior spaces are serene and lovely

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous! All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Baths are spacious with large walk-in showers.

The views from the terrace and upper deck of Cabo San Lucas and the Sea are spectacular. And you are in for a treat if you happen to be there for the sunset.

I would highly recommend Casa Contenta for several reasons: 1) Location to Cabo San Lucas (maybe two miles by road). 2) Quality accommodations. 3) Great relaxed atmosphere. 4) Stunning views. 5) Wonderful hosts.

We found our host, Lori and Craig to have that rare combination of grace, humor, and knowledge which are the essence of a fine host anywhere in the world. We have learned that when one finds themselves far from home and in unfamiliar surroundings, it is people like these that become instant friends. This is an important factor in planning a trip as one can relax and enjoy the pleasures while visiting a foreign land.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Casa Contenta. Lori and Craig made us feel welcome and at home. Casa Contenta is one of the nicest bed-and-breakfasts that we have ever stayed at. The house and gardens are beautiful and relaxing. Everyone could find their own special place to relax, whether at the poolside, the patios or the comfortable rooms.
Lori and Craig were also wonderful tour guides and recommended many interesting things to do. They went out of their way to help make our stay as fun and activity-filled as possible. Lori even took my girls horseback riding on the beach. Lori and Craig's three dogs befriended my girls and were welcome companions during our stay.
The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. It was so nice to start our day with good food and a beautiful view from the patio breakfast table.
We really enjoyed drinking wine and watching the sunset from the upper patio. What a great way to finish a busy day after exploring all of Cabo!

Enough can't be said about how fabulous our stay was at Casa Contenta. The breakfasts were great... wonderful really! And Lori and Craig are relaxed and very helpful. Felt like we stayed with family! My husbands luggage didn't arrive in the airport the first day... and Lori was so nice to lend us some of Craig's clothes... we felt so blessed to have their help as we were complete strangers. I'll go on about the things we loved about Casa Contenta:
#1 - Lori and Craig are wonder hosts... not in your face.. just pleasent and helpful. (Their "children" are awsome too... you'll know what I mean if you go ;)

#2 - You are not in the thick of tourists there. It's a beautiful escape from resort life. You really feel special there, not just a number.

#3 - mmmmm.... breakfast :) fruit smoothies with really cool different ways to have eggs.

#4 - big gorgeous rooms.

#5 - feels very private as it's large enough to not feel like you're "invading" on someone elses home

#6 - a spectacular home with a unique design... lots to look at ... lots of places to relax - ocean view from the breakfast/pool deck area.

#7 - The pool was inviting, we used it four times on our stay, every time we had it all to ourselves.

So all in all. We were very happy with our choice at Casa Contenta.... we were way beyond content...we were exstatic.

More Details to the first time in Los Cabos...
- there are many beaches to choose from - we loved the ones were locals were... fabulos people and it was very safe.
- hike to lovers beach if you can... it's worth the excerise and adventure
- drive to cabo pulmo to snorkle... but be prepared for a bumpy dirt road for a while and make sure your gas tank is full.
- watch a movie in the plaza bonita mall were the cinemas are... pay for the V.I.P seating.. it's AWSOME - especially for the price!!!
- take time to get to know Lori and Craig if they are around. they are wonderful people.
