Considering this was a time share swap, I was happy with the resort and accomodations with a few complaints. The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are immaculate and the pool areas very nice. The pools and hot tubs close at 7pm which we did not like. The beach has nice chairs and umbrellas also but the waves make actually swimming in the ocean dangerous. For the restaurants, Girasoles was very good as the reviews suggested and we ate there several times. Our one meal at Tomates was very good also.

We got a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom room for 3 people. Building 15 is toward the back and we walked outside our door to the kids pool. This would have been nice if we had kids with us but it wasn't noisy or a problem. The large patio faced a very small but beautifully landscaped "backyard" which if you looked over the road and through the trees had and "ocean view". The room itself was richly appointed but dark and dated. The beds and bedrooms were large and comfortable. Loved the large dining room table and the kitchen was adequate for us because we didn't cook. They need to replace the furniture in the living area. The foam love seat/sleeper is not possible to sit on for more than 5 minutes and the 2 upright wicker chairs are for decoration only.

We prefer not to drive in Mexico due to a past bad experience near the Tijuana border so we paid $40 roundtrip for cab rides into town. The location is rather secluded in an area known as the "corridor" outside of Cabo San Lucas. If I were going to visit Cabo again, I'd either get brave and rent a car or stay at one of the resorts right in town. There was a free shuttle to their golf courses which we used but the resort shuttle to town was nearly the same price as a taxi for 3 people without the convenience.

If you like a secluded beautiful resort away from the Spring Break craziness of the Medano Beach (we visited for a day) and have a car, this is a nice place. I don't know the secret of securing a better room but you probably need to be an owner or get lucky.

Yes the resort is gorgeous however the vacation club put us in a room overlooking the parking lot. ( we are rci exchange)Room is nothing like the pictures shown on their website. When I expressed our disappointment in the room ( small fridge tiny partial kitchen , love seat that is uncomfortable not even a full couch and of course the balcony looking at cars in parking area) all they say is check tomorrow. I've checked for three days already. It has really put a damper on my vacation that I have researched for 2 years. I wont stay here ever because of the way they treated us and the constant timeshare calls and hassling every day. We stayed at a lot of timeshares but this room is by far the worst ever. They do have some great rooms with hot tubs on balaconys but how you get those is beyond me. We even tipped the front desk clerk and called before leaving the states. The grounds are really gorgeous though it is a shame that our room is not up to par

The bad far outweighs the good here. If you have no budget and tons of cash- this is the place for you. The good - comfortable beds, Clean rooms, polite staff, several nice pools. Pool happy hour is 2 for 1, 2 pm to 4 pm.

The bad. The beach is nice if you just want to look at it. It is red flag every day, and totally unsafe for swimming. Big waves, steep sand and rocks. Total disappointment. The pools are clean and warm- but noisy at times- with The activities gal on the microphone. And get down early to scope out a chair. People were there at 0645.

. The food- every restaurant is expensive - no quick meals here unless you make them yourself. Personally- I got tired of spending min 30$ pp every night just for food. That doesn't include drinks. The food was all good - just pricey. And because of the location- unless you have a car- a taxi to town is 80.00 round trip.

You have to pay 13$ day for Internet - but don't pay for more than a day at a time- we did and had to repay after 24hours anyway- which we will try and sort out.

Airport shuttle- is only available if you book it round trip from home!!! Seriously. Once you are here- you cannot get the shuttle. We have to pay $ 80$ one way for a taxi. And car rentals want $25/ day for insurance. No options. That is on top of car rental fee.

And lastly the annoying time share people- they make you talk to them just after check in. My husband agreed to go to breakfast the following day after they broke us down and practically wouldn't let us go to our room without agreeing. He goes to breakfast- and they will not give him breakfast or talk to him since his wife did not come too. What a scam.

If you can stay somewhere else- do. Go to Cancun- beaches are fabulous and you don't get ripped off for food or transport. We will not be coming back. We travel all over - and this was the least relaxing vacation we have ever had.

This was our second time in Cabo and really like the location just outside of the city. The resort has a charming village feel with the architecture quaint and the grounds absolutely beautiful. The area is not that large that you get swallowed up in kind of place. We were in building nine which was right in the middle of the resort. We had an easy walk right down to the pool area. Check in did not allow us to get in any sooner than 4 pm and no ocean front rooms available, only saved for owners. Our one bedroom had just enough space. The living room furniture was not very comfortable and the kitchenette was too small for our liking. It did have all the needed tools to cook along with a cook top and a toaster oven. The bedroom had two queen beds but seemed too enclosed since it only had one small window. We had a nice shower and Jacuzzi with two sink areas. Two nice closets with lots of hangers. Maid did visit every day. There was a $4 daily charge for housekeeping and grounds so we did tip maid daily cause I don't believe she would get much of the fee. There are multi heated pools all along the water front plus two additional pools in the back corners of the resort. The loungers had a nice thick cushion but it was too cramped around the pool deck. You had to get up by 7 AM to get a chair and many were saved by that time. They have a rule that you can not save but they did not enforce. The large pool on the hotel side had a private group reserving the area for three days. Most people were not happy since it didn't seem like they needed that much area and it making it so crowded in the rest of the resort. The beach in very nice with lots of chairs and umbrellas, no charge. There is an area where you can swim at certain times when the waves are not bad. A few vendors are allowed along the beach. We did attend the timeshare talk and this one was not a bad aggressive. We did get a couple of certificates for dinner which we used at Del Cortez and enjoyed very much. Small convenience store like most resorts was available. We did not think the food at the pool area was that great. There was enough self parking available near each building. There was 30 minutes of free internet daily. Odd that I could not receive it in the bedroom area. It was great by the pools. A daily charge of $14 otherwise for use with 3 devices.
