We just returned from our honeymoon at the all-inclusive Dreams Resort Los Cabos. The resort is beautiful although I thought the Palladium Grand in Rivirea Maya was more visually appealing. The pools are great with a stunning view of the ocean. Moses and his co-entertainment team partners have fun activities planned all day.The beach is NOT swimmable but we were warned of this prior to our trip. The food was above average-some meals better than others-but no lack of food any hour of the day. We thought breakfast at "El Patio" was great-ask Betty for a waffle!
The spa is lovely but the staff is hard to understand and I'm not convinced we got our full treatment time. Be sure to get a 10% discount on ceratin days which we were not aware of but the concierge,Mario, did his best to get us a refund on. Honeymooners are treated very well, overall. If I return to Cabo again, I would certainly stay at Dreams but I may want to check out other resorts.

We stayed for a week in April 2007 with two kids (ages 8 and 11). The kids camp is pretty good, but could have more activities (although they claim to go on hikes and do other activities, sometimes that just means that they walk around the hotel). The pools are nice, there is free soft serve ice cream every day at one of the towel stations and the "shows" at night are really great for the whole family. The humor plays well to kids and adults. The food is decent at the Asian restaurant and the Italian restaurant (both for dinner). My kids loved the breakfasts (which are mostly buffets) and the lunches were pretty average. The kids at chicken nuggets and pasta for days on end. The room was clean and spacious although the sofa bed has seen better days (just in its bed form; while a sofa, it was perfectly serviceable). Best part for adults is the "drink of the day." Very tasty. Overall, it's a lovely hotel and a decent experience.

My Husband & I just got back from a 5 day vacation to the Dreams Resort in Los Cabos. We both turned 40 this week so we went there to celebrate. It has been 10 years since we have been away ALONE without our children. So I definitely knew what we wanted out of this trip. And I have to say Dreams fulfilled just about everything!!

When we arrived, we were treated great. Just watch out for the "vacation consultants". After you check-in, they will take you and talk to you about all of the excursions you can go on while visiting. We knew what our agenda wanted to be and it was to RELAX, SLEEP, EAT, DRINK and just not have to worry about a schedule. DO NOTHING was our plan. But they do offer some very nice things to do at discounted rates. The resort has something to do every hour of the day, plus the spa and other on-site activities (gym, tennis, etc.). They do have (2) pools. The main pool is georgous and very big. Lounge chairs very comfortable. Pool bar - convenient and great. The beach area - very nice & relaxing. The have grass cabanas with lounge chairs and hammocks. (2) cautions about the beach - there are people there selling items so after a few "No Gracias" they get the hint. They are behind a rope so they are not close to you. Also, the beach area is restricted from you swimming in the ocean due to the tides and ocean sealife. We were fine with that because we like to swim in the pools. But you still receive the same outcome of being by the ocean, hearing the waves, seeing the water, etc. There are five restaurants for you to eat at. They were fine. With this being our first "all-inclusive" vacation we really do not have anything else to compare to. The food overall was good - not the greatest. We thought it was still worth it. Again, just not having to go outside the resort to look for somewhere to eat is great. I probably would not choose this resort for our "family vacation". There were ALOT of couples and especially in the evening you would be restricted to do what most people do there. Dress nice in the evening, drink, beautful music playing, candles lit at every corner you turn, just very romantic. I know they have a kids program, but not sure what that involves and if you would have to pay extra for babysitting. I thought the staff treated us very nicely and they worked very hard to please you and make the resort look its best.

My only suggestion is that you need to contact the resort 2 days prior to your arrival to confirm what type of room you are getting. We requested a Jr. Suite with a King-Size Bed, Ocean View. We got the right room just with 2 double beds. They had NOTHING available to give us. So that was a bummer because the bed is not very big. With my Husband being 6'3", he needed some room. They told me that bit of advise, but again she said the only 100% guarantee you have getting the requests you originally submitted is to order the "Honeymoon Suite" Those definetely have a King-Size Bed. We'll know next time!!

Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation just the two of us. We would go back - just not with our children. If you go, say "Hello" to Miguel - the Dreams Activity Team Member. He was alot of fun and really likes for you to partake in Stretching at the beach and the Water Aerobics. He's a good guy. Hope this helps with your planning.

Although there were many positives to this resort, what made it a great experience for our family was the entertainment staff. They displayed the perfect balance between getting people involved in activities and knowing when someone just wanted to relax by the pool.

Their enthusiasm, sense of humour, and overall good nature are what we as a family are still talking about. The resort itself is great too. If you stay, you may enjoy the view more if you are in the main section of the hotel. The east wing still overlooks the ocean but you also get a view of an empty lot to the side of you. It just takes away a little of the relaxation. Restaurants were good, although we would have liked a little more variety at lunch time, and more snack options for around the pool.

We were originally planning on staying at another resort, but are very pleased that we stayed here. We would definitely return, and our 13 year old daughter LOVED it!

My wife, friends and I showed up at the airport in Houston at 7AM and started getting our drink on. We boarded the plane at 8:30 AM after several morning bumps and proceeded to get our swerve on. Upon arriving at the Cabo airport we stumbled across the bridge to find a taxi that had a “Pat Sajacky Cold Twelve Packy” for us to hammer on our short trek to Dreams. When we got to the hotel we were greeted by a dude with some lemon towels that we used to wipe the goolie. We went down to the pool, drank excessively, ate for survival only, passed out a few times and drank some more. The staff tapped us on our shoulders Sunday morning and said get your ---- and get! Trip was over and it was a blast.
