WE have just returned from a great vacation at Dreams. Our travel agent had indicated it was new to Sunquest Tours and they didn't have much information but it looked great and the price was very attractive. About 4 days before we were to depart on our vacation we looked in Trip Advisor and saw some very uncomplimentary reviews. We sent an email to the general email address for Dreams expressing our concerns at the reviews and never really expected an answer. Within hours we had received a response assuring us that the problems that had been mentioned earlier were an exception and that they had fixed some minor issues. They assured us we would have a wonderful time and be pleased with the hotel.
This msg came from the Director of Sales and Service Ms. Ankara Angulo. Look her up when you go. She is very professional.
The hotel was beautiful, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. One of the complaints we had read was the lack of service and staff. We found the opposite to be true. The grounds people were everywhere, grooming the sand on the beach, cutting grass, cleaning the pool etc etc. The staff at the restaurants were also in abundance and the service was excellent. What really surprised us was the food. We have been to many all inclusives and the food is almost always served buffet style and is generally average. At Dreams, breakfast was buffet style but the choices were excellent and the quality also excellent. All other meals, lunch and dinner, were a la carte & occasionally buffet style was also available. The food was the best we have had at any of the other all inclusives we have been to. Good choices, good quality and good service. Wine was in abundance, after dinner liquers always available and a pleasant atmosphere in all of the different restaurants.
The rooms were spacious, clean and every room has an ocean view. We also had a bar fridge in our room that was restocked daily with beer, soft drinks, juice and water.
The only average rating I would give would be for their entertainment and their poolside activities. However if you want top notch entertainment, go to Vegas not Mexico.
Another issue was the fact you can't swim in the ocean because of the undertow! Was not an issue for us but could be for some.
All in all we would go back in a minute. It was rated as a 4 1/2 star and it was every bit of that and more!!

The Dreams Los Cabos resort was an exceptional experience! This all-inclusive resort sits midway between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose, providing easy access to both towns. Suites with beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez, well-appointed and comfortable. Five restaurants on the property offer a wide variety to suit all tastes. The staff if pleasant & accomodating... and compliment this laid-back getaway quite appropriately.

The resort offers many activities on-property, and is happy to assist you in making arrangements to explore the surrounding area.

Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Prior to leaving for our vacation at Dreams (family with boys, ages 8 & 11), we read the reviews about the bad service and food. We were very concerned and even considered changing plans at the last minute. We're very happy that we didn't. We had a wonderful time and absolutely enjoyed the resort. The resort was beautiful; our suite was spacious, clean and nicely appointed; the service was very good. Contrary to what we had read, we found the staff very attentive and they met our requests immediately. The food was above average at the poolside restaurant (especially breakfast), and at the Oceanside. We were less impressed with El Patio, but only one night for dinner. We ordered room service for dinner on two nights, and both times the food arrived in less time than quoted. Our kids loved the food. The bar service was plentiful and fast, especially for the kids. Our rooms didn't get cleaned until later in the afternoon, but that didn't bother us as we usually weren't there anyway. We did have to ask to have our in-room bar a couple of times. But those were the only inconveniences, and they were minor as compared to how much we enjoyed our time there. We would return there easily.

My boyfriend and I went to Dreams for the first time March 11 through the 17th - and stayed two extra days, leaving the 19th, since we fell in love with the resort and Los Cabos.

I am in complete agreement with the previous review as my title reflects. A good attitude can definitely help with any hassles that may be encountered. We booked our trip through Expedia and of course were guaranteed our room, however when we arrived (noon time) we were graciously greeted by a representative of Dreams at the airport (since we had booked a charter for transportation to the hotel which enabled them to "find" us before we left the airport) explaining that they needed to put us at another resort (Riu Palace) for the night due to plumbing problems - now it was probably due to overcrowding, but I remained "easy going" and thought it might be nice to be able to see a different hotel.

Despite trying to remain positive we were miserable at the Riu - the wrist bands, having to stand in long lines to make reservations for dinner, the paper thin walls that kept us up ALL night due to people "overindulging" in alcohol and yelling to each other down the hallways until the early morning hours. Our neighbors sounded like they were literally in our room at 4am even though they were just talking….Back to Dreams…

The rooms and grounds are beautiful. The food is good – we were able to order off the menus when we went to Oceana (three nights), the pan asian restaurant (twice) and Portofino (once). The dinner buffet had some good variety. We are pesco-vegans and were satisfied with our options. We would have loved crab or lobster, but we didn’t expect it. The service is also good, please remember they work very long hours. Even if you choose to go all-inclusive they deserve to be tipped!! We loved our housekeeper who humbly would take the tips we personally gave her. My boyfriend and I are in our mid-30’s and we were on the low end of the age bracket of clientele….we immensely enjoyed the company of the people that we met and intend on building friendships with some. I would not recommend this resort for “spring breakers” – you will find yourself more welcome in Cabo. Can't wait to go back...:)

My friend and I take a girls' trip every Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend. This year we chose Dreams...and I am extremely happy that we did. I will start by giving you the only downfall to the whole place...restaurant choices for dinner. The hotel only opens a select few of its restaurants each night, so you are limited in choices. I have no complaints about the food. I can only complain that my dinner choice was pretty much made for me each night. It might have helped if we had been preventative and made reservations, but two girls on vacation are only worried about the margaritas they can drink by the pool all day.

That being said...OUR VACATION WAS WONDERFUL!! The rooms are adorable--tiled floors, spacious bathroom, comfortable beds, and a nice sitting area inside and outside on the balcony. All rooms in this hotel look out over the pool and the ocean. You can't go wrong.

Each morning, we watched the sunrise and then went and enjoyed their tasteful breakfast buffet. Lots to choose from--fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juices, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes, and some locally, mexican-flavored items.

The pool is fabulous! We never had a problem getting a chair and our server kept the margaritas coming!! Request yours made with Don Julio--YUMMY! The pool side cafe has the best lunch. Get the fajitas! We had a fabulous lunch there everyday. They will even serve it to you poolside. Between this and the breakfast buffet in the morning, the lack of dinner dining space didn't really bother me. I knew I would get two fabulous meals the next day.

Overall, we had a fabulous, although short, stay at Dreams Los Cabos. For an all-inclusive resort, it is just right. I think everyone always needs to remember--YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! And if you are looking for a pretty inexpensive getaway, this is it!
