I recently was at the Dreams resort for my honeymoon and I must say that this was the best trip of my life. This resort is hands down one of the nicest places ever. The service is exceptional, I have never seen so many people work so hard. The food was great, all of the restaurants were easy to get in to and we never had to wait. And once in, again the service was great and the food was perfect. The pool and activities are so much fun- the entertainment team keeps you active and keeps the pool fun all day long. The atmosphere was so nice as well- the people there. Everyone was pleasant and we met many nice new people there. Our room was amazing as well and it was always kept so tidy. We always had fresh towels, our fridge was stocked and it was always neat and clean. they even folded our clothes on a few occasions. The staff there is unbelievable, they are fun, accomodating and just plain pleasant. If I were to book a trip again in the next year, this is where I would be going!

  • Disliked — Nothing- it was perfect!

My wife and I stayed at Dreams from Sept. 14th-21st and overall were pleased with the stay.

We opted for the Honeymoon suite and after peeking in several rooms while walking down corridors, we were very glad we did. The other rooms seemed rather small compared to our two rooms and balconies. Not that we needed the space, but it was nice not feeling cramped...Although it was described as an ocean view, we couldn't really see the ocean without straining our necks...

Our room was situated on the "quiet" side with an "ocean view". There are two pools at Dreams. One (the main pool) is really nice with a great view of the ocean; however, it was crowded and every once and awhile they would play loud music and the staff would dance or something...It was also the spot for several volleyball games. It almost had the atmosphere of a spring break party. Great if you're into that...

The other pool, which is what our room looked out over, was the "quiet" pool. Here, the only music that played was relaxing music and there weren't alot of people, although you couldn't see the ocean from the pool.

After the first day, we figured out that the best spot was in the cabanas on the beach. They have about 20 or so cabanas, some with hammocks that look out over the ocean. We literally got our favorite one early in the morning and didn't leave until five or so...The only caveat is that there are people trying to sell you things from the beach pretty much all day.

Foodwise, we really liked El Patio for breakfast. The buffets were great and we weren't disappointed by the food there at all. Other places were ok, considering the fact that they have to feed alot of folks...We especially liked the sushi place and the italian place...

One thing I would recommend is the honeymoon package. The dinner on the beach sounds cheesy, but it was hands-down the best meal the whole week. Also, the maid service that night was fantastic (roses and swans come into the picture).

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but probably would look for more intimate places if we decide to go to the area again...

We spent our honeymoon at Dreams Sept 15-22, 2008 and loved every minute of it! Our room was lovely – it overlooked the main pool and we could hear the waves crashing on the beach. You cannot swim at the beach here because of the rip tide, but a short 15 minute beach walk takes you to a swimmable beach. You can easily hear the waves from your room, and makes it very easy to fall asleep.

There are two pools. The main pool has fairly loud music, a large swim up bar, and infinity/waterfall feature and is where most guests hang out. We loved the second, less crowded pool so much more though because it was less busy. We met some great couples who were also honeymooning which was a great experience. It seemed like 60% of the hotel had newlyweds.

We stayed on the honeymoon package which included a night of decorating our room with candles and flower petals and was really romantic. There are a bunch of restaurants, and the food was good, but after a week we got tired of the same types of food. That was our only potential negative, but it was not enough to make us not go back. When we do go back we will probably go out for dinner and experience more of what Cabo San Lucas has to offer, instead of mostly eating right on property.

There was nightly entertainment which was pretty good. The best night that we had on our honeymoon was a romantic couples massage on the beach followed by champagne and chocolate. We highly recommend indulging in this – it was probably the most romantic thing we have ever done. The scenery just can’t be beat as we had massages on the beach at sunset – amazing!

The romantic beach dinner that the hotel offers is a semi-private dining experience in which you get to choose your menu and sit right on the beach for dinner. This was also a highlight of our trip, although it costs extra.

We rented wave runners through the Tour desk at the hotel. It was fun and exciting. The ocean was pretty rough and the ride was long. We rode out to a spot to snorkel and saw some beautiful fish.

Long story short: we both work in hotel management and would highly recommend staying at this hotel. We toured other hotels that were right in downtown, and we thought ours was much better because it was quieter and more secluded, more appropriate for a honeymoon. If you are looking to party for a guys or girls weekend the downtown hotels are a good option, because you can walk to all the bars. Dreams Is amazing see attached pictures.

My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and we loved it!!! The only reason we didnt give it a 5 was because the food was not excellent but it was very good.
Food/Liquor: lunch was average, dinner was good at two two restaurants (oceana portafino). The sushi and asian was terrible. You have to order alot of appetizers/salad bc portions are small. The liquor was average-cuervo, absolut, johnny walker black/red, martel cognac. Not many bear selections though-corona or negro modelo on tap only (no bottles).
Service: The poolside service and maid service was amazing. Everyone was pleasant. 24 hr rooms service withing 30 minutes (food was average).
Resort: The pools were beautiful and you are right on the beach (cannot swim though). There were umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach.
Rooms: We had honeymoon suite and it was beautiful. Large tooms with 2 balconies!
Its a 15 minute ride to cabo ($12 roundtrip for shuttle)-the city is kind of shady but many tourists.
One thing is we got stuck there bc we couldnt fly out bc of hurricane and the rate was almost double than what we paid online. So we went to the Hilton which was not all incluisive...bad idea! It was sooooo expensive. $21 for a breakfast with cereal and bagels. If you are deciding btw all inclusive and not...dont think twice...go all inclusive!
overall we loved it and would do it again!

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Dreams resort in Cabo San Lucas. The rooms were very nice, very clean. The pool was out standing. The entertainment left something to be desired. When researching the resort I was left with the understanding that there was a shuttle service. Well there is a shuttle service to downtown Cabo... it comes at a price of twenty four dollars round trip for two. So if you wanted to go into town each day that was more then we really wanted to spend. Also really watch out when you are finished going through customs and are looking for your shuttle, you will be hassled to no end to try and get you to go and see a presentation for a time share. Just keep plowing through to the outside of the building where you will find the real people with the shuttles to your hotel. The food was pretty good and by day 3 we had everything down from the breakfast bar to how to get your pool towels. If you dont turn those towels back in... it is a 25 dollar charge. Oh and not so sure where the naming of Golf resort came from.. I did not see the golfing part at all unless you count in the putting green. Sun screen is a must to not forget... it is 25.00 a bottle in the gift shop.
