This trip was for our honeymoon and it was our second try at Mexico (our first trip was to cancun). Without a doubt, we loved the Los Cabos area more and the weather was much better- not humid and always sunny :)

The dreams hotel greated us promptly and took our bags while we checked in. The check in was smooth, be prepared that you will need your credit card, they run $200 on it just in case there are damages, but other than that it was fast and easy. Also, we did order a king bed for the room, but they only had a room with double beds, but gave us a great view. My husband and I don't really care about bed size so we took that room and we are VERY happy we did. The front desk gave us champagne and the bell hops took our bags to the room.

We stayed in room 206 (this was a lux. room, not a honeymoon suite) where we had two balcony's with a view of the pool, beach, and restaurants. It was nice because we could see the daily activites board from the room. When you walked in, to the right was the separate sleeping room with the double beds, full bath, etc...and then to the left was the living room, dining room table (fit for 6) kitchen, and another full bath. Both sides of the room had a balcony as well!

The beach and waves are BEAUTIFUL even though you can not swim in it, thats no big deal because the water is COLD but it was fun to be there to play the sand volleyball. Also on the beach was horseshoes, botchie ball, putt putt green, and other yard games.

We stayed away from the main pool where they had the pool bar and settled everyday on the beach pool (same pool but its an infinity pool so we were at the bottom, where it would have like a "waterfall". I TOTALLY recommend saying at this part of the pool because the service totally beats the pool bar service. There we had DANIEL (who ROCKS!!) everyday and he served us drinks, lunch, snacks, and more drinks. He was FANTASTIC and a ton of fun! Also, near that area is the other beach bar where they have cool swings and its just a little hang out spot.

We didnt' do a whole lot- went on the pub crawl to Cabo Wabo, the Zoo, and Squid Roe, and that was really fun to see the city- the staff takes you and they are just a ton of fun!

We also did a boat tour that included snorkling- but the snorkling sucks. Even with the water being chilly, there was not a lot to look at and the one area they take you to was crowded. So save your money if you love to snorkle like I do, it wasn't good.

Back to the hotel, the room service was AWESOME- totally try the grilled cheese sandwiches- they are amazing! All of the food was good- no one got sick off of the water or food, so don't be scared. :)

All in all the Dreams resort was amazing and the staff was just fantastic! We would go back in a heartbeat!

  • Liked — the friendliness of the staff, the pool, and the food. great room safe also and it was very clean!
  • Disliked — the asian restaurant didnt' have sweet and sour sauce....thats about it and thats pretty dumb. it was great!

Been meaning to write a review for a while and finally got around to it, but let me tell you, my wife and I stayed at Dreams for our Honeymoon and were blown away by just about everything. The resort is located in great location slightly away from all the hustle and bustle that is downtown Los Cabos.
Overall, the resort is very good size without being too big. One word of caution, you can not swim at the beach located at the resort, the undertoe is just too much to handle, but you can get a feel for some of the water and be fine. We had a great room (honeymoon suite), that was facing the mountains and the eastern side of the resort overlooking the quiet pool. We were able to see the sunrise almost every morning. Being from the east coast, the time change def threw us for a loop, but the room was great and had everything as described on the dreams website. I did all my homework beofre choosing dreams and was very glad we choose to stay here.
The food quality was great. Every meal we went to was better than the last. We really enjoyed the al a carte dining as oppossed to the buffett style all inclusives we have done in the past. Every meal was well prepared and presented great. The great part about dreams is that everything is included, so we were able to order room service whenever it got to hot to handle outside. All included with no additional fees. Also, the liquior was as advertised as top shelf. The only thing is you had to specify you wanted the good stuff otherwise they would default to the well, but it was never a problem and great to have the better stuff.
As with any all inclusive we have gone to, we brought alot of tip money, but at Dreams there really was no need, except for the spa. We tipped everyone for the first couple days and saw no difference in the service level or quality so we saved the money and received exactly the same service, so it was great!!
I would overwhelmingly recommend Dreams to anyone who wants to be spoiled and have a great vacation where you never need to take out your wallet once.
As a side note, we enjoyed Dreams so much, we are going to a new Dreams for our annivasary early next year, that how much this hotel group impressed us......enjoy!!!

  • Liked — Great overall quality from rooms to food to drinks!!!
  • Disliked — Nothing!

Dreams Los Cabos was amazing! My husband and I went for our honeymoon on June 16 - 23. I couldn't of asked for a better stay! The staff was amazing. Miguel on the events team was fantastic and Pepe the waiter at the bar in the lobby was awesome! Everyone there is so friendly and really makes sure you stay is enjoyable! The restaurants were good. Nothing outstanding, but we sure enjoyed them. Our favorite was the Japenese restaurant. They had excellent sushi! I would recommend this resort to anyone! Had a great time!

  • Liked — It was clean and a beautiful resort. The staff were amazing!

Dreams really is as beautiful as you can see on the web site. Our Jr. suite was gorgeous with a private balcony, right on the beach, and it really was more than 500 square feet with lovely furniture and cool, crisp sheets. We wanted to completely unplug, disconnect from our harried lives, and reconnect with each other. We were content to sit on the beach on our comfy lounges, with beach food and drink service. We enjoyed the privacy and quiet on the beach with the pounding surf providing the soothing background. You cannot swim on this beach. The surf was anywhere from 6 to 15 feet high at times with a vicious undertow. It didn't matter. The pools were close by and great for a cool off dip. (with swim up bars!)

There are five restaurants on site. The only buffet, El Patio, was great for a quick breakfast or lunch. The setting is lovely. We really enjoyed the Oceana restaurant. The service was attentive and it was much quieter on this side of the complex. Our favorite, however, was Portofino. I never felt like I was in an all-inclusive resort. We had better service consistently than we get in pricey restaurants at home. A nice tip to the captain gets you far. For my birthday, they set a table on their patio off to the side, covered the table with rose petals, and put candles all around the table on the ground. The chef made us a special treat to start off the meal. I was amazed. And this was not an extra charge. (The beach dinner was $200 extra and not as nice as this.) The food was consistently cooked to order and delicious. Skip Himitsu. It was very disappointing. Long wait, bad service, dinner mediocre. You will be much happier at the other restaurants. Room service was also wonderful. We got a dinner at 2:30AM hot and delicious.

Service overall was superb from housekeeping, maid service, front desk, concierge, and most importantly, the bartenders. They serve top shelf liquor, which was important to us. You do need to tip small amounts often to keep everything running smoothly in your direction.Entertainment was low key but of high quality. We weren't looking for action, so we were happy. We watched Shrek on the beach one night sitting in a lounge chair with the sea in the background. It was surreal. The younger crowd set off on a Cabo pub crawl, and, judging by their appearance the next day, they had a really good time.

The other great thing was that the place was not crawling with screaming kids. We like kids, but we left all of ours home for a reason. There were plenty of kids, but they just weren't on the beach and there is a fun kids club to keep them busy so mom and dad can party. We recommend asking for a room that does not overlook the main pool. It is noisy during the day because it is packed, and at night because of the entertainment. We were in room 433. Ask for it. It was fabulous and you will know why when you see it...

But beware of the time-share people in the lobby. We got sucked into a look at their new place Casa Dorado. It was a colossal waste of a half day. It was the super high pressure we are going to sell you something or else experience. It wasn't that great either, and the beach in Cabo is like a really small Fort Lauderdale at spring break. Loud, crowded, messy. You can swim there, but it wasn't worth it to us to put up with that. Jet skis everywhere and the wet t-shirt contest going on. It's good for the younger crowd.

We will go back to Dreams every chance we get.

  • Liked — Beautiful, relaxing, classy
  • Disliked — the time share people in the lobby

My daughter was married at Dreams on May 27, and it was wonderful. The wedding coordinator, Yesica, along with the entire staff at the hotel, made the wedding and our stay there extra special.
Anyone contemplating doing a destination wedding, this is the place to choose. The setting is spectacular, and the staff really takes care of a lot of the details that would normally drive you crazy if you had the ceremony close to home. Every one of the 50 plus who attended gave high marks to the hotel, the restaurants and the staff.

  • Liked — The rooms were a nice size, comfortable, and they were spotlessly clean.
  • Disliked — I realy don't have anything negative to report about the accommodations.
