This trip was for our honeymoon and it was our second try at Mexico (our first trip was to cancun). Without a doubt, we loved the Los Cabos area more and the weather was much better- not humid and always sunny :)
The dreams hotel greated us promptly and took our bags while we checked in. The check in was smooth, be prepared that you will need your credit card, they run $200 on it just in case there are damages, but other than that it was fast and easy. Also, we did order a king bed for the room, but they only had a room with double beds, but gave us a great view. My husband and I don't really care about bed size so we took that room and we are VERY happy we did. The front desk gave us champagne and the bell hops took our bags to the room.
We stayed in room 206 (this was a lux. room, not a honeymoon suite) where we had two balcony's with a view of the pool, beach, and restaurants. It was nice because we could see the daily activites board from the room. When you walked in, to the right was the separate sleeping room with the double beds, full bath, etc...and then to the left was the living room, dining room table (fit for 6) kitchen, and another full bath. Both sides of the room had a balcony as well!
The beach and waves are BEAUTIFUL even though you can not swim in it, thats no big deal because the water is COLD but it was fun to be there to play the sand volleyball. Also on the beach was horseshoes, botchie ball, putt putt green, and other yard games.
We stayed away from the main pool where they had the pool bar and settled everyday on the beach pool (same pool but its an infinity pool so we were at the bottom, where it would have like a "waterfall". I TOTALLY recommend saying at this part of the pool because the service totally beats the pool bar service. There we had DANIEL (who ROCKS!!) everyday and he served us drinks, lunch, snacks, and more drinks. He was FANTASTIC and a ton of fun! Also, near that area is the other beach bar where they have cool swings and its just a little hang out spot.
We didnt' do a whole lot- went on the pub crawl to Cabo Wabo, the Zoo, and Squid Roe, and that was really fun to see the city- the staff takes you and they are just a ton of fun!
We also did a boat tour that included snorkling- but the snorkling sucks. Even with the water being chilly, there was not a lot to look at and the one area they take you to was crowded. So save your money if you love to snorkle like I do, it wasn't good.
Back to the hotel, the room service was AWESOME- totally try the grilled cheese sandwiches- they are amazing! All of the food was good- no one got sick off of the water or food, so don't be scared. :)
All in all the Dreams resort was amazing and the staff was just fantastic! We would go back in a heartbeat!
