“Perfect little Authentic Mexican Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

This place is amazing!
It is a small, beautifully decorated - with fun local art and great tables and chairs - just a great atmosphere - then - the food - it's great!
The tortilla soup is the best we have ever had - and the portion is the most generous - served in beautiful Mexican dishes. We also enjoyed the shrimp quesadillas - we split an order and were stuffed when we left. Maria Jimenez greeted us at our table and her daughter was our server.
Forgot to mention - the tortillas are made right there - and they are terrific. Next week we will be taking a group with us when we return for another delightful dinner.

“Real Mexico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Very small resturant but very good Mexican food. You'll love the ambience and the tortilla soup is the Best in Mexico. If your still not full after the soup try one of the many quesadilla which are sooo good. Had 2 wonderful meals and went back for the 3rd but they were full, only seating for about 15. Met Maria and her daughter, what delightful people. For a real treat get the frozen mint lemonade. They don't serve liquor but with the lemonade you'll think they do.

“A Small Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Maria Jimenez is a tiny gem of a restaurant on a side street in Cabo San Lucas. There are only 5 tables, and the place is truly authentic Mexican atmosphere. There was a woman making tortillas on the front porch when we arrived. Our waitress, Genesis, was very friendly and spoke wonderful English. While they do not serve alcohol, you may bring your drinks with you. However, we did not miss our margaritas as they prepare a frozen drink with lemonade and mint that is delicious and refreshing. The food was excellent, and the large portions were served on lovely Mexican pottery. We truly enjoyed the tortilla soup, flank steak quesadillas, guacamole and chips, and the red and green enchilladas. We highly recommend this place for an authentic Mexican evening from start to finish. Definitely, we will be going back when we return to Cabo.

“Really authentic little restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Rally loved this place. The food and setting is really authentic and it is great value. A little outside the center of town it is still walkable or a short taxi ride away. They make the tortilla right at the front entrance. They were great. All the dishes we had were really great and especially the marinated chicken. Guacamole was great too. One of the best meals we had in cabo. It is a small place so plan accordingly.
