booked this hotel last minute and was so pleasantly surprised at how pretty the resort was. stayed in a master suite which had loads of room. have stayed in every five star hotel the carribean has to offer and expected to be disappointed but the surroundings and the staff couldn't have been better. HOWEVER...management is a different story altogether. my husband broke his leg five minutes after we arrived on the VERY SLIPPERY POOL STEPS (BEWARE) that guests slipped and slided on all week. management never even sent us a bottle of water or called to see how we were getting on. we completely had to fend for ourselves. we spent a fortune paying staff members to help us out (and they were really fantastic) but management was conspicuosly absent. the doctor from the hospital arrived daily to administer care (at our expense). the only time they called us was to interrogate us and tell us that under law they did not have to compensate us and that we would not be allowed to sue. not exactly the "how are you feeling sir?" phone call that we had been expecting. the last night there they sent some very large men to our room and asked us to fill out an accident report, which we did. they also then asked us to sign a release of liability form, which we didn't. this made the large men very sad. we slept that night with chairs in front of our doors and couldn't wait to get to the airport the next day. they made us feel like criminals. how very sad that such a beautiful place could leave such a bad taste in our mouths. it is unfortunate that the management could not have taken a page from the book of their staff and showed the same courteous regard to a man that got hurt on their property by no fault of his own. a fruit basket would have went a long way.
P.S. Cabo has a fantastic and pristine state of the art hospital.
