Invita Bistro is, without a doubt, the greatest addition to Cabo San Lucas eateries. With the prices being so reasonable and the vast variety of fresh, healthy Mediterranean food on the menu, it's guaranteed guilt-free dining.
The selection of tapas has everything from fish, shrimp, and scallops to vegetarian items such as cheesy rice balls, potato omelette, and vegetable souffle. (Since they are all GREAT, you can get a sampler of 5 tapas starting at 240 pesos.) There are six salads from which to choose ranging from Mediterranean (with caramelized pecans and goat cheese) to the mixed salad (with heart of palms, olives, and carrots). While there are two sizes, a small salad could be a meal in itself or shared between 2 people who are also going to order a main course.
The pastas range from 90 to 280 pesos, with the average price being less than 150 pesos. Amazing doesn't begin to describe each of the pastas!!! I was very excited to see that I could order any pasta (except the lasagna) GLUTEN-FREE!!!
For those of you who would rather experience another side of the Mediterranean cuisine, there are shrimp kebabs, beef medallions, scallops, and chicken breast (lightly breaded with lime juice or Cordon Blue) all served with perfectly-steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes.
After enjoying an unforgettable meal, don't forget dessert. Choose from Tiramisu, Cannoli de la Nonna, or Creme Bule (the only gluten-free dessert, but who cares? It's A-MAZ-ING!!!!).
The ambiance is classy, yet comfortable. Kid-friendly (What kid doesn't enjoy homemade rolls and focaccia or pasta??), but obviously the restaurant is geared more towards the adult population. The downtown location provides a great view of the town square (even more beautiful during the holiday season). There is outdoor seating with tables for 2, but if your larger group would like to sit outside, the staff will be more than happy to arrange the tables, European style, so you can enjoy the view. Invita is a bistro, and it fills up quickly, so if you are planning to go, I recommend making reservations for groups of 6 or more.
