we have just returned from our NIGHTMARE AT MARBELLA ON THE BEACH in Cabo; we have never been so disappointed in a resort in all our travels; i have lived and worked in a resort town for the past 26 years; believe me when i tell you that i have never been to such an unprofessional and non-hospitable place in my life; this place is a true NIGHTMARE and the internet marketing with their web site is a JOKE. our first hint was that there were hardly any guests staying during our first couple of nights; absolutely no cash flow in the hotel; we could not even purchase a beverage or meal with cash, because none of the one or two waitstaff had any money to make change; staff could not communicate very well at all; advertised concierge services were "just a dream"; our concierge service was the person at the front desk who had a terrible time struggling to understand what we were saying; one even gave us directions to the wrong hotel for a snorkeling reservation; we were never told that the public transportation was a form of dodging race cars on a super highway with drivers, including the bus drivers who have no regard for human life! i cannot imagine taking along small children; i would have wept; the housekeeping staff were very friendly and sweet but never changed our linens during our week long stay; we paid in full with travelers checks upon arrival; desk had no money in regiester to give us our change, so three times a day we were at the desk asking for our money; on the day before our departure we were handed our travelers checks and were told by the staff that they thought maybe we stole them.....keep in mind we had our passports and other signatures available... one of the two bartenders kept holding out his hand and saying: more money... more money...begging for tip! From the third day on til the end of our stay we were bombarded by a group at the hotel.... this is fine however, it is unacceptable not to be able to get coffee, never mind breakfast for two hours because the one waiter on duty was too busy serving 60 others; i could just go on and on.....please.....LOOK ELSEWERE!! Oh, and by the way, after the bill was paid in full these people had the audacity to print us out another bill......just remember the name.....MARBELLA!!!

this facility is not a three star or even a two star hotel it is located next to an open field..in the distance is the RIU hotel which blocks the view of "arch"..throughout thee night two dogs were growling and fighting ..the bed was like sleeping on a piece of wood...ther is NO view ..it is not adjacent to a golf course as I was lead to believe
