We just returned from our first(an anniversary trip) visit to Cabo - it won't be the last. The motivation was fishing for my husband. We started out at a hotel I found online which will remain nameless. After attending a very informative time share presentation at PBSB, we arranged to move there for the remainder of our vacation.

Just a short cab ride from town, it is secluded and quiet, with great security. The level of service from all staff was high, every bit as good as a Ritz. The hotel is mostly suites, all new, beautiful buildings, 3 pools with swim up bars, and lovely grounds, with all rooms looking out on the Pacific Ocean. Two of the 3 restaurants were open, 1 casual, and 1 a bit nicer. The latter has theme night buffets as an option most of the week, very reasonable. All food at both places was excellent.

Except for fishing trips that were pre-scheduled, I would have been perfectly happy to have not left the hotel for anything.

Our return day was the day before Rita was to hit Texas, affecting our flight home. The concierge and front desk could not have been more helpful arranging alternate flights and assuring us that we would have a room if we could not go home.

For a really nice hotel, the price was well worth it. I'm already planning when we can go next year!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort. The place was magnificient! From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were treated as if we were the most important guests at the resort. The staff were very knowledgeable and you could tell that they really enjoyed working there. The grounds and facilities were wonderful. The landscaping was absolutely beautiful! And our room, WOW, it was amazing! I have stayed in many very nice, luxury hotels around the U.S. and Hawaii and nothing has been as nice as the room we had at PB Sunset Beach. The restaurants were also very nice and I found them to be a great value for the quality of the food and service. Frida's, which is the nicest of the restaurants, was unbelievable! The food, the wine, everything was top notch. The Sommellier at Frida's represented Mexico in the latest World Championship competition. He is a tremendous! The pools, exercise facilities, spa, everything were beyond anything that we had expected!

Part of our trip involved the stay at PB Sunset Beach and the other part at a business function at another resort, which was also supposed to be one of the top resorts in CSL. I can tell you that it was nowhere as nice, in any way, as PB Sunset Beach. We spent time, again after our business function, back at PB Sunset beach. Frankly, we could not wait to get back over there.

This may have been our first trip to CSL but it certainly won't be our last, at least as long as we can stay at PB Sunset Beach!

Loved it! It's secluded enough to relax but the city is only a shuttle ride or taxi away. The staff is great and the massage at the spa was the best I've had.

We arrived to the hotel after renting a car at the airport. We had a very smooth check in process thanks to (Online Hotels) and then were taken to our room via the golf carts (ask for Carlos or Gilberto, also Juan Carlos was a great help as well) Villa #8 Santa Maria room #812 (Executive Suite). I highly recommend this room it was very quiet, and there were no problems with any sort of noise. We had a slight problem with the Bathtub drain not closing to hold water, I contacted the front desk, and the problem was quickly, and professionally handled. The housekeeping staff was very professional, and kept the room very clean. I know that there has been alot of complaints about the Golf Carts, but the drivers operated them in a safe manner when they had passengers aboard, and the question of safety was never raised. The resort is extremely well maintained, and the grounds were quite impressive. We made several trips downtown, and we were very happy to return to quiet, and peacefulness of the resort. The food was good, and theme nights, Italian/Mexican at La Nao were fun. The only complaint about the food was room service not bringing everything ordered, and after being contacted still was not resolved, also the white wine selection was poor. Otherwise a Great time, and is highly recommended!!

My husband and I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in the Spring of 2005. As we were packing our bags to leave, we were shocked to find that my engagement ring was not in the safe where we had left it during our stay! Safe's are supposed to be safe...well, not so. I have felt such an incredible sense of loss and violation knowing that someone broke into our room and stole my precious ring. Based on other events throughout our stay, we believe that the theft was likely committed by a hotel staff member(s0>

The manager, Douglas Dodge, would not speak with us about the theft until we had already returned home. He was quite rude and did little to help us. I even sent the owner of the hotel a letter and never heard anything.

I have seen several other similar compliants of theft and rudeness.

I would not stay at this place if you paid me a million dollars.

Buyer Beware.

This was the worst trip of my life.
