This big sprawling beautiful resort is on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas and can be tricky to find but the view is worth the look!!! Like the name implies the view of the Sunset is amazing!!! You feel like you are in a mediterranean village complete with little motorized carts that take you to your room and around the complex with a simple phone call. The main pool near the ocean is beautiful but crowded at times, the second pool is much less crowded and just as beautiful. Our room had the most comfortable feather stuffed bed and high thread count sheets. Surprisingly the bathroom only offered a shower, no bathtub. The workout facilities and spa offer an amazing view of the Pacific. The lobby is stunning and reminds you of Colonial Mexico, but watch out for the Timeshare sales people near the registration desk!!!

My husband and I just returned from 5 night stay in Cabo at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. It was our first time to Cabo and lots of things surprised us. First, the weather was cloudy the first two days and not very warm. It did warm up, but the evenings are quite cool. The hotel was lovely, but not for your first time... it was a little removed from town and the shuttle took you to their other hotel which was still a walk from most things and taxis are expensive no matter where you are going. The hotel had only one restaurant on the premises and it got boring with the same menu each day. We did eat in town twice for dinner and enjoyed it, but again the hassle of getting there and reservations were hard to get except early with all the families and their little children. The hotel is also difficult to get around as it is built into a hillside. They have golf carts to pick you up and take you to the pool and the lobby but I enjoy being able to walk without fear of getting hit by the golf carts. And, last but not least, I was very annoyed by the Avis Car Rental representative at the hotel...on each room key was an offer of $5 off your Avis car rental if you mentioned a code. My husband forgot to mention it and we were told it was too late. What were they thinking? Just ask if we have a room key! I was in total disbeleif that the only car company at the hotel was offering a deal on their room key that they would not honor the offer because we forgot to mention it It made me wonder who was getting the $5 if not requested! That was a very bad way to end our stay there and I am not sure that I would go back. I also just read about the Cabo Rash which I have and didn't know what it was.

We just returned from a five night stay at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and enjoyed every minute of it. The resort is the nicest one we have stayed at. The service, amenities, and staff were wonderful. We had dinner every night at La Nao (the main restaurant) and the food is fantastic. They do theme buffets most nights (Mexican, Italian, Seafood & Asian), but you can also order from an extensive menu. We thought the prices were normal, not too high. We had a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean and even saw a whale while sitting on our balcony for about 20 minutes. We declined the timeshare tour on the first day, but since we fell in love with the resort we took it two days after our arrival, and of course bought. We have three other timeshares and enjoy all of them and I am sure we'll enjoy our yearly stays at the Sunset Beach. lf anyone is going to Cabo and wants a relaxing vacation, this is definitely the place to stay.

We just returned from a week at the Sunset, 2/11 to 2/18. Wow, what a great place. The road to the entrance is a little tricky to find the first time, so we hired a cab to lead us to the enterance. 12.00 The veiws from the entrance road were breath taking. the hotel is about 3 miles from town so you really need a car, cabs are big money in Cabo. DO NOT RENT WITH DOLLAR ! The pools are warm and spotless. The rooms are large, very clean, with the most confortable beds we have ever slept in. The hotel grounds are some of the most beautiful you ever see. Every room has a great veiw of the ocean. We picked this hotel with the help of other travelers on trip adviser. Thank you. The litttle carts that shuttle you around the grounds are usually very quick to pick you up and they sure beat climbing the Mt. The drivers were very informitive and friendly. All the people at The Sunset were very friendly and helpful. We followed the advice of others on Trip adviser and stayed out out the main reaturant, quite pricy for a meal. But the deli made exelent sandwiches that were only 8.00. They were a very handy store. There was no swimming allowed in the Pacific Ocean due to high currents, but the pools were great. Soaking in the hot tub watching Gray whales out in front of us was unbeliveable. We went fishing twice, the first was in a panga best fishing per dollar in Cabo. Tip buy extra bait you'll need it by the light house. There is a guy that has a office behind Margaretta Ville Reasurant that books fishing charters, Stay away from him, he will promiss a great boat but what shows up in the morning is an old scow. I wasn't sure if we going fishing or to Gilligan's Island. Great food, try the Shrinp House, 12.95 shrimp and lobster combo, hmmm good. Best Margaretta, Margaretta Ville Resturant. Wife says to say the spa at the Sunset "is to die for". I think that means great. On time shares, we did not go on the tour, we just said we were to tired after travelling and were not bothered after that. If your approached just say you are a owner and the will never bother you agin. This Resort is one of the, no, is the finest resort we ever stayed in!!!!
