I just returned from this resort. The resort is about 10 minutes outside of Cabo San Lucas. I will have to say that the resort is beatiful. The beach is not swimmable. The restaurant was mediocre at best with prices ranging from $20-30. Very windy 4 out of the 7 days.
The rooms were nicely appointed with all the basic amenties including a small kitchenette with a good size fridge. Beds were hard. It's not really a walkable resort because it is built on a hillside, but they do have carts that take you around. This is a resort to relax at. If you are looking for activities on the resort, this is not the place for you. The average age there was probably around 60 (I would say that was true for the entire area at this time of the year ). The time share was not high pressure. We received $150 off at the resort, numerous discount (fishing, parasailing, spa, ATV tour...You must do the ATV tour). The resort was about 50% vacant. So the pool was not crowded.
The staff was extremely friendly. There is a shuttle that takes you the the sister properties located in town. It's decent walk to the main part of town, but doable. the town was very safe, but there were timeshare peddlers everywhere. We were annoyed by how everyone tried to get you to attend a time share or come nito their store or eat at their restaurant. If you want to do some shopping, go to San Jose Del Cabo.
It is a more authentic Mexican town. Quieter and less pressure. The prices were much cheaper than in Cabo. I will warn you that Cabo is an expensive destination. It's not the cheap Mexico that you might be envisioning. Most of the places we ate at were $20-30 for dinner. Rent a car if you plan on site seeing. I was glad that we did since I did not want to rely on the shuttle bus schedule. Taxi's are expensive about $10 into town one way. Todos Santos was overrated. I don't know how why called it an artists town. Cabo is basically a US city with inflated prices. Would I go there again? Maybe...not anytime soon though.

After having stayed at quite a few resorts throughout Mexico, I have to say that Pueblo Bonita Sunset Beach was one of the finest experiences.
Don't be too put off by the all the time-share nonsense. My husband and I agreed to listen to the time share presentation because, in exchange, they gave us 100.00 (U.S.) worth of meal coupons to use at any of their restaurants. The presentation was ridiculous, but all you have to do is tell them something like, "Oh. Um. We filed for bankruptcy last month," and they'll leave you alone. Then you can enjoy the free food and the beach. At night the sound of the waves is so soothing and hypnotic, and though some people might not like the isolation of this particular resort (i.e. party animals) we loved it. Bring lots of books, some sunscreen, and have a great time.

terrible company to get in a timeshare deal with. After 2 days decided to cancel and they refuse to refund my $7400 on my cc. Said it was liquidated damages and I would have to get a lawyer and go to Mexico to fight them! It is in the hands of my cc company now and an American Lawyer. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! YOU ARE WARNED

Stayed a week at this fabulous resort in a two bedroom, two bathroom unit. It was perfect for 4 adults, and cost much less than if we would have had separate rooms. Unbelievable views, QUIET at night, but fun around the swim-up pool bar. Never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a taxi to town (5 minutes). Grounds and rooms were immaculate, and food and service at restaurant was excellent. Can't wait to return!

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach was the most wonderful place I have ever been to! It felt like we were in a small European town! All of their rooms have an ocean view and are huge! We were lucky enough to have our villa right on the beach and only a short walk away from the pool. But if you don't feel like walking around, they have carts to drive you around wherever you like, which is very handy because it is on a hill.
The pool is absolutely huge and is never crowded. And the beach is about a mile long, and hardly ever anyone on it! We felt like all our troubles went away when we were staying there, and we didn't want to leave! I would definately buy into it if I had the money! Well worth the trip!
