...I'll get to the problems later. First, the room was really nice and good sized, with a great view of the ocean. We were pretty charmed by the mode of transportation around the property on modified golf carts. When we called for one, the driver generally arrived in a couple of minutes. We ate at the Bistro and the pool several times, and the food was good and reasonable. We spent a good amount of time at the lower pool, and other than during the water aerobics class, it was a pretty relaxing spot.

The downsides: kenpricebs is correct about the lack of pricing in the two convenience stores and the high prices. A box of cereal was $10.00, yes $10.00. And wifi was very expensive in the room, I believe something like $13.95 per day. We just took our I-pads down to the Manila Bar where wifi was free. No one hassled us about just sitting the the bar and using the I-pads.

We'd visited the PB in Mazatlan and heard this was even better ... it was true! Fantastic views of the ocean from both our room and other beautiful vantage points on the massive complex, overwhelmingly expansive buffets, fun games at the pool ... what more can you ask for? Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. On the downside, the transportation to downtown is somewhat cumbersome and the complex needs more than one coffeeshop. I can't wait to go back! Hint: the all-inclusive also works at the other resorts ... check them out!

We just arrived back to winter in Alberta, from a week at the resort. We were blessed with a great room (2184), just steps from the sky pool, overlooking the resort and the ocean. We could see whales from our room, daily. We had good dining experiences at La Nao, and at the pool, but really didn't enjoy the Bistro or guest services. We had some drinks at the resort as well, and found them to be hit or miss. Over all, we had a nice experience the week we were there.

We did an exchange with RCI and this was, by far, the nicest place we have ever stayed. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit in building 10. At check in, we were concerned about being on the ground floor. We wouldn't have traded it for anything. The finishings were top notch -- granite, beautiful tile, heavy wood doors, nice linen, nicely decorated.....and the view. The view was fantastic! We were close to the beach and spent every morning watching the sunrise and the whales from our huge terrace. At night, we went to sleep to the sound of the surf hitting the beach. The staff was outstanding--anything we wanted, they provided. The grounds are beautifully manicured. We rented a car and were delighted with the free parking. We could even drive to the Rose, in town, and enjoyed free parking at that location also. It really isn't that far from town and we loved the privacy and lack of noise. One night we left the dome light on in our car. The parking attendant tracked us down and saved us a big hassle in the morning. How's that for service?!! The cart system works very well and we were very thankful for their prompt attention. So many resorts are all inclusive. We were thrilled it was not mandatory, but offered for those who wanted to use that option. We don't spend our days at the resort, so it never makes sense for us. We can not stress enough how THRILLED we were with this resort. We can't wait to return!
