This is the best resort in Cabo. It's amazing as you read the reviews that it isn't at #1. Everything is new, prefect, clean and well thought out. It has the best view you will ever have on the Pacific, you can see whales spout about from your balcony and the grounds are crazy nice. They built a small chapel on the grounds that is beautiful. My wife and I have talked about having a second wedding here. Can't go wrong at this resort. It's the Ritz Cartlon with JW Marriott service.

I remarked to my husband that of anywhere near the ocean that we've ever stayed - Maui, Big Island, the Bahamas, Florida - the ocean views from the PBSB are the absolute best. Throw in the ability to whale watch from your balcony, and it doesn't get any better.

Service:
The property and grounds of this hotel are absolutely beautiful, and the friendliness of the restaurant and golf cart staff is top notch. I did have an issue with one of the front desk agents being rude to me at one point, and spoke with a manager just to let them know that it had occured. I'm not the kind to dwell on this, though, and it didn't spoil my satisfaction of the resort or its services.
Spa services were very nice as well.

Food:
We ate at La Nao, the Bistro, and La Frida on property. While La Frida might be nice if you were at the resort for the week (we were only there for three nights), I'd say save your money and just eat at the Bistro and La Nao - both serve great food and good service and are less expensive by quite a bit compared to La Frida. We liked La Frida, just didn't feel that a person needed to spend that amount of money to be satisfied with the other fine restaurants on the property. But if you do go, don't get pelligrino at dinner. It was $20 for two small individual bottles! Most other costs at the resort were much less than you would pay at a similar resort in Hawaii or the Bahamas.

Accomodations:
The rooms were quite comfortable. There was some noise from construction (we were in building 30) going on, but I understand that that is just part of staying at a developing property. The fact that every room is an ocean view is a huge plus. Because the floors are stone, you get the noise of scraping from your upstairs neighbor, but again - didn't bother us.

Overall, an absolutely beautiful place and a wonderful stay.

  • Liked — ocean views from every room
  • Disliked — construction somewhat obstructed the view

This was my second year staying at PB Sunset Beach and it was just as amazing the second time around! The views and grounds and rooms are breathtaking! Last year we stayed closer to the middle and main pool(14), this year we were in a tower building (22) that takes you to the sky pool. The only thing I liked more about being lower is that you did not have to use the carts all of the time to get places, but come on, those guys are so helpful and friendly and everywhere, so it was never an issue! We ate around the pool a few days, excellent, and at La Noa, which was very nice as well. Last year we really enjoyed the breakfast at Le Bistro.
We travelled this year with 9 women ages ranging from 30-65 and it was just fantastic. Many of us got spa treatments and they were fantastic. A note, we all paid separately with our credit cards the whole time and not once did we get any grief about having to write up 9 separate checks! The service at PB Sunset is just amazing and the people that work there are so friendly. When we left we had a lot of leftover unopened food and drinks, so we took some to the construction workers and they were thrilled. We didn't think that we could just easily give it to our housekeeper or the cart guys.
We took the free shuttle downtown to the Rose a couple of nights, and a taxi the other nights. We all wanted to go to the Pacifica to check it out, but we never had time.
It was truly wonderful and being in the atmosphere of the PB Sunset with its beautiful furnishings and decor in the lobby building and the lavender smell throughout, its heaven!

We just returned lastnight from 5 days at Pueblo Bonito Sunset and may I say I'm already booking my next trip there next year! After careful consideration especially from the Trip Advisor comments, I choose this place and have not regretted it one bit. Read the tips that others leave and you won't go wrong. It is currently whale watching season and you don't have to go on the cruise to see them, you can see them from the property. This property is a majestic magical oasis. I have never seen my husband so pleased. (I signed him up for a cooking class there-fantastico!) The views are breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable-the balcony faced the ocean and the pool, the food on property is so delicious-OUR Favorite restaurant is the Bistro-make sure you sit outside on the balcony. The service at this property is wonderful! Everyday its hola, hello, how are you...it never gets old. Golf carts will take you around the property, each section has its own pool in addition to the big pool. There is a shuttle that provides free transportation to the other Pueblo Bonito properties. Make sure you participate in one of the themed nights at La Nao the food and the mariachi band is wonderful. There is a Sams Club, Walmart and Costco to get supplies and they are clean. Take advantage of one of the adventure tours, we did the zip lining through the canyons in the desert-exciting and the group was very nice. We slept each night to the beautfiul sounds of the waves. Check out the exotic birds on property too. One mention, book your shuttle with the property before you get here ($16./person and at the airport once you pass baggage claim beware of the aggressive timeshare salespeople- walk past them and right outside to your transportation (unless you are looking for a timeshare tour). I hope this helps you. Again, I have not been back home for even 12 hours yet and had to write this comment for the next vacationer. Have a fantastic time and we will see you there next year! Adios

My boyfriend and I just got back from the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Resort about a week ago. This hotel is amazing! We didn't leave the resort during the day, but spent all of our time at the main pool down by the beach. All the pools have a bar and food service (the food was very good, ate most of our lunches here) and plenty of beach towels and chairs.

The resort is built on the side of a hill/mountain so it can be quiet a walk from the lobby or your hotel room to any of the pools. They do have a free gas powered golf cart service that will pick you up and drop you off anywhere on the property. They are very prompt about this service and there are phones all through out the property to contact them for a ride. This is a 24/7 service, so even if you come in late from down town, you can still get a ride to your room.

They have a free shuttle that runs to a sister resort in town. The Pueblo Bonito Rose. We used the shuttle often...

The staff was wonderful, very friendly and courteous and willing to help out in anyway.

You cant swim in the ocean due to the VERY strong current, but the pools definitely make up for it (plus the ocean water isn't that warm anyway).

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Great for families too!
