We totally enjoyed our stay and did not experience any unpleasant events. The staff was very friendly and helpful and laughed as we butchered their language.
We chose to attend a timeshare breakfast that was professional and interesting notwithstanding an occasional "murdering of the truth". We chose to spend 3 hours because it was interesting. We did not buy for our reasons, but were pleasantly provided the $200 credit..
The resort is five-star in rooms, furnishings, grounds, spa, pools, beach and gym....but in our opinion, good to average in food. To be fair, we did not eat in their flagship restaurant "La Frida".
The resort is remote, so we rented a car as opposed to relying on taxis, buses or shuttles. Good decision! As a result, we enjoyed the kitchens of Pueblo Bonito Pacifica (used credit), Sheraton Hacienda, Las Ventanas and Palmilla. In town we enjoyed Mi Casa, Edith's, Pancho Villa's and "The Office".
In San Jose we enjoyed Morgan's Annex roof-top setting, although not very original in name was excellent food.
The conceirge was helpful with these reservations.
Also, recommend the dinner cruise on the Caborey...buy tickets in the sales center for $ 63 each vs the front desk conceirge at
$ 82 each. They provide other tickets at discounts as well.
We stayed in Villa 9 in the middle of the main grounds and it was beautiful. We could easily walk to the upper or lower pools as well as the main lobby , restaurants, gym, deli, store, etc.
The resort has added several 9 story high-rises on the hill overlooking the main grounds. These are more remote and not as intergrated in the lush grounds. These are Villas 19, 20, 21, 22 23 and 24. Golf cart transportation and elevators would be an integral part of the experience.
IShopping in San Jose is more upscale than Cabo San Lucasand their town center renovation is a pleasant setting.
We would higly recommend this resort based on our villa location and our vacation objectives.
