This was our second time to La Estancia. The one bedroom suite is HUGE! We absolutelty LOVE it. It is so beautiful!!! The decor is world-class. The ocean view is incredible!!! And the location is key: we can walk to the best breakfast place in the world: The Office. But, most important to us is how they treat us: like kings and queens. (We even own a timeshare at another Cabo resort, but choose to stay here instead). We are hooked on Cabo (5 years in a row now) and now will not stay anywhere else other than La Estancia. Flying all the way from Pittsburgh, it is worth the price!!!!! Also, we recommend the Sunset Mona Lisa restaurant on the edge of Cabo- the view of the arch is like none other and the food is A-class!!!!

We had GREAT time!! ( May 10-16th 2009) First you should look up Cabo Luxury Life style.com.... Jane and Donna made it a breeze to plan this surprise trip for my husband....we were picked up at the airport in a new suburban and offered cold waters ect. Taken right to the Villa Estancia and we were greated with beers at check in..... The clean citrus smell of the lobby blew me away!!! The Estanica was immaculate.....ALWAYS!!! Our room (1402)had a great view of the ocean and was very impressive!! It had a large kitchen, living room and balcony with a great view. A huge impressive bathroom and unlike other reviews....the bed was VERY comfortable!!! Never did I think...boy can't wait to get back home to my bed..... We walked down the beach to Tabasco's for dinner which was great....but a bit of a hike... for those of us that are old and out of shape!! But well worth it. We found Alexander's on the marina to have the BEST "catch of the day" it was so good that we went back 3 night's for dinner. We did stock up at costco on beer and snacks. The spa next door at the Arco was amazing!! I had the best pedicure and facial ever.....also enjoyed my first message pool side!!! Prices were very resonalbe.... I do agree with some other reviews....that the food is a little pricy in Cabo.....but HELLO your on vacation and it was so worth it....every where we went.( Poncho's on the marina was good....Good saviche at cabo wabo and the chips were good there too... Good fish taco's at the office...fun atmosphere....but you get hounded by the venders... At the estancia the pool side cafe...( can't remenber the name) the casadilla's were out of this world... on the last day we rented a car and drove up to Totos Santos.....a cute little town about and hour aeay. We ate at the "Hotel California" and wondered around town. The pace was much slower and very artsy. Well worth the trip. You will not be sorry if you book The Villa la Estanica It was quiet and very relaxing....if you want a "party" atmosphere then this is not the place for you!!!... WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!! can't wait to go back and hope you enjoy it too!!!

My wife and I just returned from Cabo!! Let’s get this out of the way right now, there are still no reported cases of the swine flu in Cabo!! We had a wonderful trip and if you ever have wanted to go now is the time!! No crowds, lots of discounts, and everybody will be very glad to see you!! It was sad to see this beautiful vacation spot suffering from all of the over blown media coverage about the flu!! We stayed at the Villa La Estancia and were very impressed with this property!! We were very well taken care of and the area felt very safe and was well maintained. I found the condo at the VRBO.COM web site and got an outstanding deal on a 3 bedroom beach front unit. Please call Humberto at [--] if you need information, he was very helpful!!

Went to the Cabo Wabo cantina on Saturday night and they had a very good crowd. The house band was rocking and the waboritas were going down smooth!! We ate dinner up stairs and it was just ok, there are lots of other places that would be a better choice, like Mi Casa!! We ate dinner there on Sunday night and the food was great!! I highly recommend the combo appetizer before your dinner, large portions and fair prices!
We took the sunset cruise on the Caborey and it was a fun time but no people!! Also there was some very windy and cool nights while we were there, better check the weather before you go….Our last day we went snorkeling on the Ecocat!! Once again great deal and great service, very few people ….I was surprised how cold the water was and the snorkeling was ok but the water was not that clear compared to places in the Caribbean I have been to…Still we had a lot of fun!!!! Also we had no problems at the airport arriving or departing, we used Transpacifico for our ride back and fourth….very prompt service…YOU REALLY SHOULD MAKE YOUR TRASPORTATION PLANS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE!!

This was my 1st trip to Cabo and like Sammy Hagar say’s “YOU GO THERE ONCE, YOU’LL BE THERE TWICE”…can’t wait to go back!!!

Stayed at Villa La Estancia from April 19 - April 25. We decided on this resort after a lot of research and we were not disappointed. This is a great resort situated on Medano beach and close to downtown Cabo. The resort is immaculate and the service was great. The resort was only at 25% capacity, primarily due to the economy and our stay was after spring break. There were four of us in a 2 bedroom, 3 bath condo on the 6th floor. What a fantastic view! The units in this resort are member-owned and not your typicall timeshares. You have access to the adjacent two sister properties but they cannot access VLE.

We can't wait for the time we can go back to this beautiful resort. We highly recommend this resort.

We were here for a week in April. Usually when we travel, we walk to other resorts and say "Next time, let's stay there". But this hotel in my opinion is the best choice while still staying in a reasonable price range. Going back, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The check-in process was relatively painless. They tell you they are NOT a time-share property, but instead a private residence that offers fractional ownership. We thought that was funny. We did get offered to join them for breakfast for a presentation, they offered all the discounts that other reviewers mention and put the "gold card" on the table. We simply said no thanks, and that was the end of it. We did hear later from a woman who had attended the presentation that it was very high pressure, and not a pleasant experience. Declining the breakfast (and the gold card) wasn't difficult.

Two restaurants on the property, one is open for a breakfast buffet that costs somewhere around $22 per person. However, there is a small grocery store at the property next door (open to guests of the resort only) about 100 yards away that we visited our first day to stock up on PopTarts, cereal, milk, bagels, cream cheese, and we avoided the expensive breakfast buffet.

The location is wonderful. The view from the beach, amazing. $7 cab ride to Cabo Wabo, Squid Roe, and the rest of the town area. About a 15-20 minute beach walk to Mango Desk and the Office (the sand is a bit coarse, think about bringing shoes).

Pool is great. Two swim-up bars (one in the lower pool, one in the upper pool). The pool was never crowded, we always found chairs for three people, even at mid-day. Pool scene is quiet enough to relax, but enough activity to make new friends if you desire. The crowd was mixed, some people with kids, some couples and groups in their 30s. A few spring breakers, although the season had mostly passed.

Even though there are only two restaurants on the property, you can use the restaurants and most of the pools at the properties on either side of the Estancia. The restaurants are good, they have basic menus, pizza, burgers, salads, etc... They were nice for a change of scenery. Walking through the other properties, we realized that ours was the nicest of the three.

Water taxis to Lover's Beach from the beach are easy to catch. They wait out at the beach all day. I might recommend purchasing a water taxi from the hotel's activities tent on the beach (walk onto the beach, turn left and there is an activities tent about 100 yards down) rather than the water taxi pilots directly. It's the same price, but seems more organized as far as pick up times to come back to the hotel.

We also visited Rancho Carisuva for the ATV tour. Highly recommended.

In conclusion, this is a great hotel, and if (when) we return to Cabo, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to stay here again.
