Pluses: the villas are beautiful as are the grounds. The one bedroom villas are very spacious and elegantly appointed. Balconies have great views of the Sea of Cortez. The beds were comfortable. The pool was great. The staff helpful.

Negatives: The restaurant on the premise, La Casona, is very expensive for what you get but in general almost all restaurants in Cabo were that way. The housekeeping staff did not get to our rooms until very late in the day (one day after 5 pm);

It is a little further away than some hotels to the main part of the town and marina, but still walkable both on the beach and the road.

One recommendation: a short distance up from the hotel towards town is a great little dive "tabasco beach". Great for a reasonable breakfast and good people watching. Also their Mojitos were better than their margaritas. A little quieter than some of the bars, but definitely pleasant.

We went to Cabo for the first time -my husband and myself (50's), two daughters (26 &22), and a son (17). My husband selected the location and I researched places to stay with lots of help from this site. We ended up contacting LuxuryVacationRentalsllc.com to select a condo at Villa La Estancia and we were all very pleased. If you get on the web site you will see the pictures and they tell it all. Beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez, litlle if any contact about time share presentations, housekeeping every other day, very accommodating staff and great location. We ended up meeting Robin, Jane, and Donna from Luxury Vacation Rentals, who were visiting when we first arrived and they were lovely. We had no need, but felt confident they would help us if any problems arose. They gave us the great tip to go on the sunset cruise on the Rissimini- a big hit with all members of our family. What a great week!!

We visited June 28-July 5. This was our second stay at VLE. We rented a penthouse unit the first time and a 2 bedroom unit this time. Selected the unit based on the view-which was great. We rented through La Estancia Vacations, who represent private owners, so we could select a specific unit. The unit consisted of a 1 bedroom suite with kitchen, dining and living areas plus a one bedroom lock off unit. This worked great for us as we were two adult couples. If you had small children, it might not work as well. By renting the entire unit, there was no shared balcony. This would be a problem in my opinion, as it limits not only privacy, but could be a security issue.

The particular unit we rented was beginning to show wear. The furniture was worn and dirty. The owner also only included maid service every other day. Not what you usually expect, so this is something to check on if renting here.

The grounds at VLE are very nice and well kept. The pool area is large and only one day was there an issue getting chairs. There is a nice beach area, and adequate chairs provided. We like the location of the resort-on the beach a close walk to the beach bars, but not so close as to be overly crowded or loud. Staff was generally friendly and helpful.

We ate at the pool bar/restaurant one day. While very convenient, it was one of the most expensive meals of the trip-and the food was average at best. Drinks were generally good, but again expensive. Our day of departure we also grabbed a quick lunch there, and again food was average. The chips and guacamole were very good though!

This is not a party resort-very quiet at night. Mainly there appeared to be families and couples of varying ages during our stay.

Overall, the resort itself is very nice. The unit we rented was not as well maintained inside as it should have been.

From the moment we arrived at the beautiful Villa La Estancia, we felt at home! The grounds are gorgeous with lovely pools as well as two restaurants and a health club. We had a one bedroom, two bath condo. The place was first class with a well appointed kitchen , nice, flat screen TV's in both rooms and plenty of space for the four of us. We did have a problem with the master shower, which was never resolved, but had a second shower to use as well as the lovely locker room facilities at the three health clubs at our disposal!
The resort feels very safe-we let our young teen girls go off on their own on the property and at the private beach area. This is not a party hotel like the neighboring Villa Del Palmar.Much quieter and less crowded!
We were right on the ocean with great views and breezes. Medano beach is pretty safe, but a bit of an undertow.
The hotel is a short walk into town. Our favorite restaurants were Mi Casa, O'Mole Mio and Casanova Italian Ristorante.
Our concierge's, Manuel and Carlos, were invaluable!
The only other complaint we have is with the annoying time share people at the airport! Also, don't exchange your money at the airport-they gave us a poor exchange rate. You can actually use American dollars for most everything!
We would gladly go back!

We just returned from an amazing vacation. Not knowing anything about the property, I visited their website and was amazed at the look of the hotel as well as the dining options. We are from Canada and the hotel was offered to us as an almost all inclusive property. The price was good and we've been to Cabo before so we decided to try it out. We were truly amazed. Our room was a studio with a view of the famous Land's End. What a first impression. Nelson at the front desk was a wonderful host. We were also offered the option to eat at any of the restaurants at any of the three Villa properties, as part of our package. With the exception of a few "starred" items, all the food and drink was included as part of our all inclusive plan. The only part of the vacation that we found unusual and ackward was signing a tab for everything we ate or drank. Since we found all the pricing rather over inflated, it left us feeling we were obliged to tip based on that amount.
Other than that, it was avery relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
I'd recommend it in a minute.
