We had one of our most relaxing and memorable vacations at Villa la Estancia! We booked the reservations through www.luxuryvacationrentalsllc.com with Robin and Jane. They were so accomodating from start to end. Although we were so excited to visit a new location, once we arrived at our resort, we never wanted to leave. The accomodations, service, food, and overall environment was more than we anticipated. However, we did manage to break away for a wonderful sunset cruise, snorkeling, and a brief shopping expedition. The poolside alone was captivating for two workaholics who needed an opportunity to completely unwind. In so far as the accomodations, our room on the 8th floor was exquisite, our view was spectacular, and the resort was captivating. We must say the experience was absolutely 5 Star!! We look forward to returning with family and friends in the near future.

I travel 80% of the year so I know what to expect from hotels. I booked a room at Villa Del Arco. Upon arrival I was told that they did not reserve a room for me and that I had to move to Villa La Estancia. Not knowing anything about their other property, I did not want to move. I already did my research on this property. They rudely told me I had no choice and sent me to La Estancia. I received a very rude reception from the front desk people at this hotel. No one seemed to care about anyone. Several others were moved as well even a couple on their honeymoon who were really upset. I had asked for a King and got 2 doubles on the Garden Level. I had wasted enough time between the 2 hotels and just wanted to go for a swim. I waited for my bag to be delivered and finally gave up and got it myself. 2 bell boys were standing there with a pile of bags in front of them and did nothing.
The next morning I woke up and noticed several black hairs on several pillow cases. I have blonde hair. At breakfast, I was the first one to the buffet which opened at 7am and this was about 7:30am and hardly anything was set up at this time. I asked what time it opened and they stated 7am. Hmmm. One item they did have out had another big black hair in the untouched dish. Disgusting. On Monday, I checked out and again was treated very rudely. I moved to the Westin were I was delighted by the fantastic service and a great stay. I would never recommend anyone stay at any of the Villa resorts.

Worst trip of my life...
Spring break at La Estancia was close to a" girls gone wild " video. The place is overrun with kids whose parents are OK with the drinking and nonsense on the strip. From check in to check out our experience was miserable.
I have stayed in Cabo three times at 5 star accomodations- One and Only Palmilla. The La Estancia website is deceiving. Yes, it looks like the photos, but the service is awful, the smell of sewer is everywhere, and the food is terrible. I rented our "villa"- run down condo- from Malcolm at La Estancia vacations on VRBO. Each unit is individually owned, so the quality varies. Ours was a mess. Sofa had torn cushions, towels were ragged, sheets were stained, matresses were hard, pillows old. Refrigerator water function was broken, no cereal bowls, the list goes on and on. I immediately contacted Malcolm who was sympathetic but offered no solution. After a month of back and forth upon our return, I was eventually credited 50% for my bad experience. Owner was non responsive to need for repair.
The location is fine if you are into the chaos of the strip and Medano Beach. Time share people heckel you and vendors harrass you all day. The pool is a zoo with not enough chairs for everyone. Lobby smells of strong room freshener and front desk help is no help at all... Check in was a nightmare. No system in place. Random distribution of keys to waiting guests. No lines or rhyme or reason for check in. Staff played the "no Comprende'" game when you had a problem. They understand English... Dont be fooled.
Overall, this was a nightmare vacation from start to finish. My recommendation is to stay out in the corridor and day trip into the strip if you are into tourist activities.

I booked two, 2 bedroom units on the 11th floor for a group of fishing buddies and myself through Jane Roesch at Luxury Vacation Rentals based on a recomendation from a friend who had been there and spoke highly of it . Boy they did not dissapoint!! From the moment you arrive, you got a sense of a well run property. Security was very thorough at the front gate, door men and the check in clerks were polite and attentive. The grounds were impeccably manicured, beautiful and clean. The rooms were impressively large and well decorated and included an enormous balcony with an awsome view of the Sea of Cortez. as well as the beautiful pool and grounds below. I felt completely relaxed within moments of arriving.

The location is ideal, just far enough from the center of town to have some privacy, yet close enough to be able to enjoy what the town has to offer without having to get into a cab. I particularly enjoyed dinner at the Trailer Park where they prepared and served the fish we caught that day seven different ways. It was awsome! Lots of great nighlife to enjoy nearby as well.

Next time I go to Cabo, I'm definitly staying at the Estancia again!
