My husband, 18 month old son, and I traveled to Cabo for a week in December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa La Estancia. We rented a condo directly from the owner through www.luxuryvacationrentalsllc.com. Jane owns the unit we rented and helps some of her friends rent their timeshare units too. She was very helpful and easy to work with. We rented a two bedroom unit (my sister also came down with us) on the top floor and the views were incredible. The grounds at Villa La Estancia are beautiful and we especially loved the pool. They have a zero-entry pool, which is great for small kids. I think this time-share resort is the perfect place to stay with kids. We had a washer/dryer and full kitchen. The staff was friendly and helpful and there were other families with small children, although it is a quiet resort and the guests are mostly childless. You can also use the pools at the adjoining resorts, Villa Del Arco and Villa Del Palmar. Del Arco has a huge pool with a pirate ship/restaurant in the middle; Del Palmar has a waterslide and is geared more towards older kids and seems to draw a pretty cheesy clientele. As far as meals go, there is a very good cafe where you can get takeout and there is a small grocery store on site. It's a flat fifteen minute walk to downtown Cabo. Unfortunately, the walk into downtown Cabo is not very stroller-friendly. Sidewalks are spotty or nonexistent and difficult to navigate at night. I think a cab is probably the best option. When my sister babysat, my husband and I enjoyed a terrific cruise on the Yael sailboat with www.cabosail.com.

I checked in on Halloween for 4 nights and I am a Travel Agent, so I checked every thing to see what looked nice and all inclusive and somewhere close to Medina beach so we could swim on the beach, it was my brothers Birthday so I wanted to make it very special. Not a lot of places have swimable beaches so I picked VLE. Made a great choice! The rooms are great, we had a 2 bedroom 3 bath on the 8th floor, there were 4 of us, it was nice because it was seperate. It would be awkward if you just had the 1 bedroom because you would be sharing the balcony with someone you didn't know, but it was still very nice. The rooms have everything, even a hair dryer.
The food is very expensive like every comment, but I found the best thing do is to add on the all inclusive which can be added on at the front desk which I believe is $79 p/p p/day for the basic plan and a little higher for premuim plan. You have all 3 Villas to chose from to eat which is nice, all 3 dinner restaurants were great, the service was wonderful! I didn't my food as much at the VLE, but everyone else liked theres.
The views are to die for, right across the Resort is lovers beach, beautiful. Taxi rides into Cabo was about $7.00, 15 min walk on the beach to the office on the beach, activities like jet ski's 5 -10 mins. I would go back again for sure, the VLE was the nicest out of the 3 Villas!
Thanks Alejandro for all your help! Will come back again...

My wife and I returned to Villa La Estancia for a second time last week. We were thrilled that the high level of service has been continued.

We were assisted wherever we were by enthusiastic and friendly staff. We had no trouble getting chaises by the pool and the staff would bring over umbrellas for us. The pool drink staff was always around, but not pushy. The pools are huge and beautiful and there are 5 hot tubs.

We loved strolling on the long beach and walking to the Office for dinner and breakfast. Water sports were available right on the beach in front of the resort. We had a number of breakfasts, lunches and even dinner at Villa La Estancia and enjoyed all the meals. We also ate next door at the 2 sister resorts (they are time shares).

Our suite was well appointed and the view tremendous. We enjoyed sharing a drink on the huge balconey watching the cruise ships leave.

Recommended restaurants - Niksan, Tequila, French Riviera, Edith's (don't miss!). We played Cabo Del Sol Ocean, Cabo Country Club and Palmilla and even went deep sea fishing. We also recommend the Rissalena for a sunset cruise. Eduardo and his crew were great.

We are totally pleased and look forward to our next visit back to Cabo and Villa La Estancia.

We were very disappointed with the room and did not feel that the staff was very supportive nor friendly. We will return to Cabo, but not to this hotel or any of it's partners. On top of the poor service, the food was putrid, the rooms swelled like a combination of urine and vomit and they overcharge for the food --even after you pay an exorbitant amount of money for your room. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST IF YOU WANT TO AVOID HAVING YOUR TRIP RUINED! SERIOUSLY. In the first day I stayed in this place, I tried to take a shower and the water came out yellow from the pipe. Call the concierge and was told that it is normal and I had to wait and the water would get better. Lies , Lies and Lies... I had to take a shower in the yellow water for 2 nights so I decided to check out and find another place. They don't even provide towels for the guests inside the room, because I run out of towels in the second day and nobody come over to offer towels to us or even clean the room. The concierge Jimy, Henrique were very rude and made us feel really unwelcome. Horrible place AVOID IT AT ALL COST

Amazing Villa Estancia

Arrived Sep 22 till Oct 2. Booked via Travelocity a studio, after seeing the jacuzzi in the Villa, we decided to upgraded.
The property is rigth on the best part of the Medano beach, clean well organized, well kept , we liked very much.

The staff is ultra friendly and profesSional, from the maid to the rest
waiters, everybody worked hard to make us feel welcome

I will suggest this place to couples in search of quite quality time.

Only problem, there was some work being done in the penthahouse roof, the drilling was bad, al day long, quite annoying.

For the rest it was amazing place.
