I took a Suntrips vacation to Cabo, I have to say, of all the hotels that the bus dropped people off at, this was the best location of the lot. It was litterally steps from the beach and the best breakfast and Margaritas in town at The Office on Medano Beach. Also, just a short walk to downtown too, plus, if you don't want to walk, there was always a taxi waiting right outside. Have to say the on-sight restaurant was a little expensive and sub-par in its offerings but there are so many good places to eat in town there is no reason to stay at the hotel, Tip: hit Crazy Lobster, unreal. As for the bill, I was suspicious, having read a couple of the reviews before I traveled. Have to say that I had no troubles. The minibar was always refilled with reciepts, as with the palapa bar. No billing discrepencies at all. When I head back to Cabo, this is where I will stay.

Just returned Jan 2, 2004 from Cabo. Had a nice room with a great view, except for the construction in progress lot below us! May lose that great view if the workers actually get going! Sure move slowly.
Management was nice, friendly & helpful. No discrepancies in the bill.
Nice job getting us a scuba trip. Room was fine & clean, except we would have had a softer mattress sleeping on the floor! That is why you drink a lot down there, I suppose! Room service was daily, except they couldn't ever replace towels they kept taking, resulting in daily phone calls! The "swim up palapa/bar" was never open! Would probably seek other accomodations in the future.

I have been going to the Bahia Condo/Hotel for over 10 years and am surprised to hear the negative comments listed here. I have always had good service, friendly relations with the staff and NEVER had a problem with any of my bills. Granted I purchased the first Time Share offered way back in the early 90's and have never regreted it. I have loaned friends my week, given family members my week and each one has raved about their experience. I have traveled a lot all over many parts of the world and one thing I have learned is that you get what you give. If you are courteous and pleasant that's what you get in return. I am going down again this year and I know I will get good treatment and have a wonderful vacation.

Well the hotel did have a good location since it was close to the beach and down town. But the last night that we where there I had $80 stolen from my suitcase which I had hidden in the liner. So they were searching pretty hard for money to unzip the liner out of my bag.
Ofcourse being in mexico theres nothing you can do in this situation.
My only advise if you have to stay at Bahia is use a Safety Deposite Box.

Hi people! I stayed at the Bahia for one week and let me say: THIS IS LOCATED IN THE BEST SPOT IN CABO!! And i had a Great Experience there. People who complain at least about this location have to be crazy.... and its very safe, it was staffed 24/7 by at least 3 guys when I went The rooms were better than I expected, nice AC, nothing all fancy but great for me, and the pool outside was nice. The staff was real cool too. I actually planned my fishing trip out of there too and cought four Dorado :) The reason I say this hotel is in the best spot is because it is maybe 100 yards from the best beach in cabo: Medano beach where all the action is. Most Def. the spot to be. All the other hotels are in the BOONIES! (ask other hotels if its a 2 minute walk to medano beach)It is ALSO within walking distance of downtown! All my friends who went had to grab a taxi back to their hotels whereas I just walked a couple of blocks back to my hotel and saved me the 12 dollar taxi fee each time they went into town : ) There are no 10 peso buses which go from hotel to hotel like in cabo or vallarta (No they are not paying me for my comments)If i go back to cabo there is no doubt Id stay at bahia.: )See ya!
