We stayed at Terrasol Condominiums with another couple from April 17-23, 2006 and had a wonderful stay. We were in Delfin #216, a two-bedroom condo with an ocean view. The place was adequately furnished and was decently maintained. I imagine everyone's experiences are different as they are owned, furnished and maintained privately. The things we enjoyed the most about Terrasol were the grounds, which were very well maintained, the laid-back atmosphere of the place, and the location and proximity to downtown Cabo San Lucas. We were able to stock our kitchen with food, fruit, beverages and snacks for the entire week after a visit to City Club, a Costco/Sam's Club type warehouse in downtown Cabo. We rented a car from Dollar rent-a-car for our six day stay for $94 US for the entire week and made good use of the pools and tennis court in the early mornings and late afternoons. We enjoyed relaxing on our terrace after long days on the beaches of Cabo and had great barbecues, feasting on our 7 foot, 150 lb. Striped Marlin catch. The Playa Grande is next door and fits the bigger resort-like atmosphere. I heard from one of the owners that residents of Terrasol are allowed to use their pools and grounds. We didn't explore it as we were content on the grounds of Terrasol. Terrasol is a quiet resort with a great location. If your looking for a busy resort with a lot of on-site things to do and a lot of people to meet, this place is probably not for you. But, if your travelling with friends, want a nice quiet place to relax and base your travels from, this place will more than fill your needs and desires.

I also never received my deposit back for unit #162 in 2004. Sought legal action, filed claims with BBB (multiple claims for owner). Also found large roaches in unit.

These guests must have me confused with someone else because I never received a request for a refund of deposit from them, nor did I receive any legal complaint or Better Business Bureau complaint. I certainly would have remembered a legal action. Plus, there are no large roaches in the unit.

My wife and I stayed in Craig Harrisons unit 236 and had a great experience. The large, 1 bdrm condo was well set up and had all of the conveniences of home. It also has a private roof top deck, complete with hammock and dining table where you can nude sunbathe, stargaze or be intimate! Very Nice!

The two pool areas are very nice and lunch under the palapa ($6.00 per person) is a great deal!

The staff was excellent. The front desk helped coordinate dinner reservations and an in-room massage. They went out of their way to make sure our trip was fantastic. By the way, the massages were very good ($55.00 per person). If you have the front desk act as your concierge, be sure to tip them at the end of your stay!

Terrasol is ideally located. You are on the beach where you can walk for about a mile. The beach (even though you are between the Playa Grande and Sol Mar) is never busy. The only drawback....no swimming in the ocean here, it's rough!

When you want to wander in to town, it's just a short walk to the Marina and many dining and shopping opportunities. Cabo Wabo was fun, Margarittavilla, Darians and Ruth's Chris hit the spot! We also did the breakfast buffet at Playa Grande which was good and took in some music at the Palapa Bar at Sol Mar...all good.

We rented a car and went to Todos Santos one day, stopping at a beach along the way. We had a wonderful lunch at Hotel California...very nice courtyard dining area! Though I'm glad we went to Todos, we wouldn't make this a regular trip.

We couldn't have been happier with our trip and look forward to returning to Cabo...and Terrasol!

We just came back from Cabo, and frankly, are very disappointed in the unit we rented from realtor Linda Clark. It was unit 242-B. We so clearly requested BEACHFRONT right on the beach and KING size bed...
Linda Clark “confirmed” that we are getting what we want. We trusted her and paid promptly. The unit we rented could be called a dump without exaggeration. It was located in the most far away from the beach part of Terrasol, overlooking buildings and parking lot, right next to the ugly, noisy construction which started at 7 am every day and lasted till 8 pm. Construction noises were so loud in our room – it was crazy! Jack hammers and metal cutting! The beach was partially seen from the unit, but it was so far away. The walk was pretty long and unpleasant – through parking lot, by construction and some awful sewage smells. This was not “on the beach”. For some unknown reason the sewage smells from outside at night rose and filled our room through open windows... It was so bad!
The unit itself was barely 2 star dumpy dark and unclean cell, the bed (which we so hoped to find comfortable and large) was smaller then queen, probably full size, and very stiff. We were shocked how dark and smelly the place was. The whole unit was unclean, way overdue for a paint job, had a prominent bad smell and furnishings were incredibly shabby and soiled. Linens were so old, they didn't have any feel of comfort next to your skin, forget the luxury. No plants or flowers on a tiny balcony, just some old broken plastic chairs. Some other privately owned units I believe had nice decor and beautiful plantings around them. The owners of this unit (242-B) are not investing anything in it, and just keep renting this dump... The unit next to it was abandoned and had plywood nailed for a door...The old fridge was making a very loud noise that woke us up at night. There was no light in the shower and not even a spare roll of toilet paper...
There is no restaurant on premises, and bar closes about 4 or 5 PM. We ate breakfast there once, and couldn't do it again - just poor quality and lack of hospitality. Coffee was made late and was really bad. Go to Playa Grande for a nice one or make your own.
The resort itself is quiet, but not a serene hospitable quiet, rather just lack of service, help or hospitality. No one is willing to accomodate or help you, even people at the bar make you feel like you bother them. They tried to charge us for cleaning service in the end of our stay although it was clearly included in our contract. We were told they try it with everyone. If you don't expect service and just don't want to be bothered with anything - it may be good place for you. There is no daily maid service there, so no one will bother you.
The unit we rented may be good for some students vacation, or for a low income family, “economy” style.
Also, there are other units, which looked (at least from outside) like nice places. The closer to the beach you get, the better the unit seem to be. I guess it really depends on a particular owner. There are 2 heated pools, and lots of blossoming bushes which add color to the place. The beach barely has any people on it, which is great, and the rocks are just spectacular! The best food we found at nearby Galeon restaurant, Playa Grande had OK food, other places didn't impress us.
Beware of renting from Linda Clark -workers at front desk at Terrasol told us that we are by far not the only unhappy customers who got hurt by her dishonesty. They put it very simple: “Many people are angry. Linda Clark is not telling the truth”.

I told Janna and Greg that my large 2 bedroom unit was not available. They said it would be fine to put them in a studio unit as long as it had a king bed and I could get them a reservation. I asked the owner I rented it from for Janna and Greg and he said that it did have one. I stayed in the unit about 3 years ago with my son and found it to be totally acceptable. Apparently, the current owners live in Canada and are unable to carefully maintain their unit. I will no longer rent it out to any of my guests.

I sent Janna and Greg's deposit back to them as soon as I heard from them on their return and did everything I could to please them.

All my other guests have found Terrasol to be a very friendly place and very convenient to downtown. Everyone loves Mario at the swim-up pool bar and restaurant. The food is excellent and very inexpensive. Esther and Edgar at the front desk are extremely friendly and helpful. At Terrasol all the condos are privately owned so you don't have to worry about time-share sales people. It is a wonderful, friendly, family location.
Sincerely,
Linda Clark

We loved staying at Terrasol. The location is ideal and the area is beautifully well kept. It is located right on Solmar Beach, which is serene, free of vendors and has beautiful crashing waves. The surf is too dangerous to swim in, which might be a drawback for some. There are 3 pools. Our favorite one was right on the beach with a view of the rock formations at both ends of the beach. We enjoyed the peace and quite of this place! Sure, we had fun in town and on the other swimming beach, but it was always a joy to come back to peace and serenity after the commotion of town. Everything you need is within walking distance, which is a plus because taxis are expensive in Cabo. It was our first trip and we didn't rent a car. We were glad, we truly didn't need one. If we went again, perhaps we'd rent one for a day or two to go farther afield.

We rented our 1 bedroom condo directly from an owner. Great deal, ocean front 1 1/2 baths gorgeous master bedroom all for 145$ per night! We loved the freedom of condo living. We recommend this place to anyome who likes to get away from the crowds and kick back.

FYI ....if you are going with children:( I'm not sure it would be a good place for small children because of the unswimmable beach....I'm not a parent, but I think I would go elsewhere if I did have children. Also, there are not any play areas or anything geared to kids that I noticed.))
