“I would pass on dinner and just come to drink the wine!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2011

I was excited to try this restaurant after hearing from a customer the best in 15 years in Cabo!!! I don't know where they have been eating but we were very disappointed. The evening started great with a very helpful waiter. He changed our table when it was too warm in the dining room to outside. We started with cocktails and then ordered some plates to share. I ordered the scallops without the curry sauce but they came with. He gladly took them back but when they finally returned they were so tough and rubbery that I could not eat them. He noticed this upon clearing the plates and asked about it. The owner even came over later and asked and said they would remove from our bill.
After engaging in a conversation with the owner one of our party had grown up in the same town as he. We decided to stay and have another glass of wine after dinner, listening to the piano music and talking with the owner as he had his dinner near us.
We also purchased 3 bottles of wine to go. The sinker was that our cab arrived and as we prepared to go the owner asked if we had paid for our last glasses of wine !!!!
After spending close to $300 for our cocktails, dinner, and wine to go, I was insulted!!!!
They said they had removed the entree from our check and also had brought a desert for us complimentary but by the size of the check I am not so sure that happened.
I woul not return for the food, very pricey for the quality. I would return to drink some wine and listen to the music!!

“Food paired with wine, plus Daniel=Unforgettable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2011

This place needs to be on everyone's must visit list. It was a very hot, humid day and the thought of sitting in the aging cellar was just the cure for the four "foodies" in our group. We asked Daniel to pair each of their wines with their tapas, one per couple. Seven, yes, SEVEN courses later, we were blown away!!! A true dining experience you must have yourself. But, a word of caution, make sure Daniel is your waiter/host. His wine and food knowledge were instrumental inour raves.
The winery also participates in the Los Cabos Guide prepaid vouchers which can make your visit not only tasty but very reasonable. Go there, ask for Daniel, speak with Robert, the very engaging owner, and ENJOY!!! BTW, there are opening a tasting room at the Marina in a few weeks. Ciao!

“worth the visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2011

short and sweet review. Good food, good wine, good prices, good atmosphere. Being from Northern Ca. we love Napa wines and these wines were quite good for being in Cabo. We will definitely be back. the only con is if you decide to walk there, your journey will be through some iffy areas for about 4 blocks. I would reccomend driving or taking a cab

“Favorite part of our Cabo trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2011

We stopped here on Friday evening. We were too late for the tasting hours, but they still let us do the wine tasting. We ordered the meat, cheese, and apple platter to accompany the wine flight. It was fantastic. Dinner was great; had the scallops and the filet. Garlic mashed potatoes were sensational. Very peaceful, quiet background music while we ate. Live music (piano/guitar) started around 7:30 and we stayed until after 10pm. We enjoyed it so much that we returned on Saturday to have some wine and listen to a live jazz singer. Waiters, David and Daniel were very attentive and friendly. Robert, the owner, gave us a tour of the winery operation. Very peaceful and relaxing evening. Like being in your own living room. Would definately recommend to anyone looking for a change from the hectic beach scene. Will go back when we are in Cabo next.
Robert says that he plans to open a tasting room in the marina in the near future. Current location is a bit difficult to locate. Had to insist that taxi driver take us here. Well worth the trip.

“Great food and atmosphere in Cabo San Lucas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2011

We found the Los Cabos Winery through Trip Advisor. We first went for the wine tasting and tapas, but then came back another night for dinner. The restaurant is in town, but just a block or two off the main roads. The wines were quite good and enjoyable and very reasonably priced. The bruschetta was awesome. The twin lobster tails were fresh and delicious. Our waiter, Daniel, was exceptional. The owner came out and introduced himself and made us feel even more welcome. There was a piano player who also played guitar for light music in the background. We would highly recommend this restaurant and are looking forward to coming back. Although there are signs with arrows showing the way to get to the restaurant, we recommend bringing a copy of the address with you for the taxi.
