My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bungalows for a few days after staying at a 5 star hotel on the beach. Eventhough the other hotel was a 5 star, the service was not. But this small, charming inn was definitely more than 5 star when it came to service. Eric, Junior, and Estella treated us like members of their own family or long aquainted friends. It truly felt like you were at home. Eric reccomended a great place for lunch, 'Gordo Lele's" and the best margarita place (3 for 1 @ 8 bucks!) in this small flea market. I loved that they kept the pool clean throughout the day, there was always fresh coffee in the kitchen, and it was so serene. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, we especially loved the coffee and the pancakes (thanks Eric!). There is always a couple gallons of purified water in your own mini fridge in your room and they replenish them each day. They have a microwave, toaster, and even a french press to make coffee!! In the bathroom, they provide these cute little vanity sets that have cotton balls and qtips and also handmade soaps and shampoos. But our favorite part of the whole place was the BED. Man was it comfortable. This actually felt like a CLEAN, comfy soft bed. I loved it. I got the best souveneir of all, my boyfriend proposed to me at the Bungalows. We'll definitely be back once we're married!
Thanks!

My husband and I just got back from our 1st year wedding anniversary from Cabos. Going to Cabos was suppose to be a surprise for me; however, both of us were pleasantly surprised by the way we fell in love with the Bungalows and their staff specifically Eric and Junior. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a hug and a big smile from Eric saying " Welcome Home".

The honeymoon suite was well decorated, spacious, & quiet - it even has its own balcony with rocking chairs. We felt like we had our own apartment. The breakfast every morning was fantastic. We walked from the hotel to where ever we wanted to go. Eric & Junior were very helpful with restaurant and activity suggestions. Lilia & her staff gave us wonderful private massages in our room and this is a MUST! We really appreciated not being pestered by sales pitches for time shares. This is a very relaxing and inviting hotel with personalized charm.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary with a "second honeymoon". He let me pick both the destination and the hotel. His only input was "someplace warm" and "rest and relaxation".
Friends had indicated that Cabo has perfect weather (it does) and after reviewing the hotel reviews on Trip Advisor, The Bungalows seemed to be the perfect choice for us.
I can only echo the high praise given by other reviewers.
Eric and Estela greeted and treated us like family. Our suite was lovely - we even had our own private patio with lounge chairs where we would sit out at night, have a drink and relax. There were no families or large groups when we were there, just couples and one mother and daughter.
The pool area was lovely if small and there were never more than 4 or 5 people at the pool. We actually had it to ourselves many times. Also, we never saw a towel put on one of the poolside chaise lounges to "reserve" it as has happened at every other resort we have stayed at over the years.
The breakfasts were all delicious and very generous, so we only ate one additional meal every day.
The walk to the city and the Marina/Beach is not arduous at all. My husband and I are both in our mid-fifties and we walked back and forth every day, sometimes twice a day. The return trip uphill is a little more challenging than the downhill walk, but we just took it a little slower.
One evening we even got a cooking class from Eric. He and another guest had discussed their recipes for flan. Eric decided to make his one night, so three couples watched and assisted. If you don't know what flan is, it is somewhat like creme caramel, but with a denser, richer texture. In addition to watching it being made, we also enjoyed eating it the next day.
We enjoyed watching movies in our room nightly, with the fresh buttered popcorm Eric would make us. He also made coffee in the afternoons on request, and there was always a pitcher of lemonade or fresh juice ready when you returned to the hotel in the afternoon after a day in the heat.
The service was outstanding in every way. I cannot think of a single negative. From the reservation process with Carina who mentioned that the patio suite was available (thank you!) and advised us on how to avoid the "Time Share" sharks at the airport to our final day when Eric arranged for transportation to the airport in a private chauffeured car for $55, the service was consistently wonderful. We also appreciated the restaurant suggestions - La Fonda was lovely.
We truly enjoyed our stay - and meeting Eric and Estela and some of the other nice guests.
Our "honeymoon" was everything we had hoped it would be and more.
I have never felt sadder at having to end my vacation and would return to The Bungalows in a heartbeat.

After many years of visiting Cabo with my family and staying at large beach-front hotels, staying at the Bungalows with my girlfriends was a treat! When you arrive, instead of having to deal with a swarm of people at the front dest like you would at a big hotel, you are greeted like family by the inn keepers and simply upon arriving at the Bungalow's you will feel completely relaxed! When you enter your room, you'll feel like you've found a little piece of paradise. The rooms are decorated in beautiful traditional Mexican style and all of the little details impressed me...there's a coffee press in the kitchen with some excellent coffee for when you need a mid-day pick me up, there were chocolates on the counter, and when I opened the fridge I found jugs of water, which they will supply you with throughout your stay! The sample size toiletries in the bathroom are the best I have ever come across in a hotel! Their products you would actually want to buy, and I especially enjoyed the mini scented soaps that are locally made! There's a blow dryer in the bathroom that I thought worked especially well, even for my long, thick hair, and the bed sheets on the beds felt like home, not those stiff, startchy sheets you would find at a chain hotel. The grounds of the Bungalows are kept in superb condition, I noticed the gardner out there attentively watering the plants each day, and the flowers were just gorgeous! The pool at the Bungalows is warm and just the perfect size for wading in, I loved dipping my feet in the pool and writing in my journal or reading a book! Besides all the aesthetically pleasing things about the Bungalow's, lets not forget the 2 best things--the breakfast and the friendly people who truly make the Bungalow's the wonderful place it is! Every morning in Cabo, I went for a run, and knowing that I would come back to a gourmet breakfast with bold coffee kept me motivated! The cooks are great, I cleaned my plate everyday! All of the employees at the Bungalows make you feel like you are home, the housekeepers are friendly and attentive, and Erik & Estella will do anything for you! Erik know's how to reccomend good places to eat, I would take his advice if I were you! If you are looking for a more intimate way to experience Cabo, I would highly reccomend staying at the Bungalow's over any other hotel in Cabo

We generally echo the praise for the Bungalows so rather than repeating what others have said I'll mention a couple of drawbacks that you might want to consider. The Bungalows compound is small, consisting of 4 guest buildings and the hospitality building (office, kitchen, breakfast veranda, etc) around a central courtyard and pool. The pool is about 33' x 45' and there were only 10 pool chairs / chaise lounges. Normally that might be fine except that two days after we arrived, so did a group of 20+ for a family reunion. I never even thought about that possibility when booking the bungalows.

My wife and I are in our late 40s but our children are grown and out of the house. We were looking forward to some quiet R&R from work and winter, never imagining that at the Bungalows our fellow guests might include shrieking preschoolers that would have given The Nanny a run for her money. Under these conditions the Bungalows was just too small. We stayed in a cozy suite which is is the same size and configuration as an efficiency apartment. The choice was to be inside our room (no patio or balcony) or in the courtyard with the kids and the noise (assuming we could get two of the ten chairs, no easy task when the reunion families were poolside). In a larger hotel, at least there is the possibility of moving to a different area of the property but that was not possible here.

In fairness, perhaps the above is not the really the fault of the Bungalows so I will end where I started by saying that with a different guest mix we might have enjoyed it the way others have.
