Paradise is the only word that comes to mind when we reflect back on our April 16th week stay at the Bungalow hotel. My husband and I joined two other couples who are also in their late 20's to celebrate our first anniversary together and our friend’s engagement in Cabo. I want to begin by thanking Junior and his beautiful wife who assisted my husband in organizing the most fabulous anniversary dinner consisting of a sunset overlooking the Pacific ocean at the Blue Marlin restaurant at the Hotel Finisterra. This was only the beginning to the wonderful service that Junior, Eric and Estella provided to us for the week stay we had at the Bungalows. Junior arranged a fabulous fishing trip for us on a 33 foot Charter Boat which was actually larger than expected. My husband caught a 4' Mako shark, and our friend caught a 4' Blue Marlin. Junior was so kind and thoughtful that he even cooked some of the Blue Marlin in the Bungalow’s kitchen when he wasn’t even working. The cheese with white wine flavored Marlin was definitely our favorite. It is very difficult to describe the little things about the Bungalows we loved ....the tasty chocolates located on the bed at check in, the hand made soap that you get in your room each day, the delicious gourmet breakfasts, fountains and little benches scattered around the grounds. The little humming bird at breakfast that actually stopped for a moment and bathed in the fountain. The serenity of the couples massage that you can request at anytime. The location of the Bungalows is absolutely perfect. A walk down two hills gets you right into the heart of town, a shopping market, ATM and excellent nightlife and restaurants. The beach is less then a 20 minute walk from the front door, or you can take a taxi for six people for about $12 and it only takes 5 minutes. There is a little corner market a half block from the Bungalows for soda and beer. Upon our first entry to the Bungalows we were treated like family by Junior. He walked us around our cozy suite, helped us with our safe combination and made us feel welcome. The cozy suite had all the latest amenities, including a microwave to heat up leftovers and a refrigerator that the Bungalows provides a gallon of fresh water daily upon request. Our experience was defiantly made more enjoyable from the advise by Junior, Eric and Estella to restaurant choices, La Fonda, Patagonia, VIP at the Office (thanks Junior) and Gordo Le Le (best tacos and 5th Beatle in Cabo). If you are a sushi lover, enjoy Solomon’s landing and if you are a wine lover enjoy Sancho Panza for their Wednesday wine tasting and live music. We are completely in agreement to all of the wonderful reviews that we read prior to our trip to the Bungalows. However, I will say that we definitely did not experience an “off week” and we should all keep in mind where ever we go we should always treat others how we’d like to be treated. Again, my warmest regards to Junior, Estella and Eric. Our hope is we see you sooner than expected for a possible wedding in Cabo at the Bungalows :)
