You are nuts to stay anywhere else in Cabo San Lucas! This little gem is amazing and the entire staff treat every guest like family, not just a customer.

We stayed for 7nights in a deluxe 1 bedroom and the accomodations could not have been better. From arriving to find handmade chocolates & flowers on the bed to the handmade soaps and furnishings in the room.. Amazing! (The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on while travelling as well)

Eric, Estella & Jr. are warm, friendly people, who will help you with absolutely anything you need. Movies & popcorn at night (its yours) You want a massage, they will get a masseuse to come to the hotel, fishing? done, golf?done, great tacos? done.. They truly enjoy your company and will help with anything you need which is worth the price in itself.

And the breakfasts.. Oh my! This is the greatest breakfast a hotel has ever seen.. Imagine every day having a different handmade authentic Mexican cuisine prepared (and served) to you.. No buffet line.. you dine outside around a soothing fountain and watch little birds fly about in the trees. Meals consist of fresh fruit, Coffee & tea, freshly made smoothies & hand-squeezed juices and a different main course every day. One day it was waffles (stuffed with apple, banana & walnuts), the next might be a fritata with a mushroom chile sauce, the next might be a breakfast burrito with potato, cheese & beans or french toast with apples and cinnamon inside.. In 7 days we had a different meal every day.. Note: if you have any food allergies just advise the staff when you sit down & they will come up with a spectacular & safe meal just for you!! (Did you notice the word "or" didn't exist (no choosing, it all comes for you!!)

Getting there is so easy! We rented a small car at the airport and drove to the hotel. You get on the main road and it takes you directly to the hote (no kidding!) Driving in Cabo is easy compared to some cities in Mexico and having a small car lets you get about to explore the baja and all that Cabo has to offer. The drive is so easy and direct to the hotel (about 25 minutes)and they have ample parking.

The hotel is just away from the city, in the foothills above Cabo, (ensuring a good night sleep) but you can easily walk to the city and the beaches in about 10-15minutes. No car, no problem! If you need to go somewhere, Eric will get you there!

The hotel deserves every accolade it has received and will exceed your expectation, it is by far the best deal in Cabo. We will be back for sure and recommend it to everyone from every walk of life!!

I just got back yesterday from a 5-day stay at the Bungalows, and I am happy to say that we had a wonderful time there. Eric and his brother Jr. create a family feeing at this inn, and Eric, besides cooking the amazing breakfasts, hustles around happily from table to table as he serves guests with a bright smile, making sure we feel welcome to be there. We had four breakfasts during our stay, and each one surpassed the other. (I consider myself somewhat of a "foodie" with picky tastes, and from the apple waffles to the poblano chili benedict sauce, every item was the very best. ) Our room was spacious, comfortable, and decorated with Mexican folk art. We were supplied with as much bottled water as we wanted, and we kept it in our room frig to keep it cold. We never heard any noise from other rooms, even though the inn was sold out during our stay. The grounds are lush and tropical, with birds and butterflies flitting about. We were far enough away from the crush of town to avoid the noise, but we walked in daily to sightsee. I would happily return to the Bungalows, for now I feel we almost have "family" there.

My wife and I, along with her brother and his wife, just completed a 6 night stay at the Bungalows.

After reviewing multiple sites and reviews, we booked our accomodations at the Bungalows. Erics warm welcome and tour of the facility was awesome. From the book trade cabinet, the free movies and popcorn, the very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and the relaxing pool, all was as advertised.

Eric recommended great restaraunts and places to visit. Junior arranged our fishing trip, and arose with us at 6am to make us smoothies, and to send us on our way with pop and water for the day. No fish caught, but if we had, Junior had offered to grill it for us for dinner.

The breakfasts (we ate 2 of the 6 offered as our wifes are picky) were superb. Bungalows Benedict is the specialty, and wonderful. You must realize that the menu is set for the day, but they will accomodate a special request if possible. My sister in law wanted just plain scrambled eggs, and they obliged.

Junior provided great directions in town, and we never got lost.

I can certainly say that our next trip to Cabo will involve us staying with Estella, Eric, and Junior. I cannot imagine a more comfortable and accomodating facility. I travel quite a bit for business, and the Bungalows rates as high as anyplace I have ever stayed.

We chose the Bungalows for our quick, fairly cheap honeymoon to Mexico, planning to do a big deal trip later. We stayed four nights in one of the larger two-bed rooms. The room was great, and we particularly enjoyed the hammock on our deck. The breakfasts were also uniformly good, and Eric's dinner recommendations were excellent.

Our problem, however, was that we had the staff recommend a dive company. The recommendations in the Lonely Planet were fairly vague, but we noticed the prices ran about $55-70 for two dives. Prices posted on the streets were about the same. The Bungalows had two brochures for diving, one with prices, one without. We asked about them, and were told the second company tended not to dive in the bay (going to more interesting sites elsewhere) and would provide transportation, for about the same price. We had her book it because we were running late for snorkeling.

Though they claim a note was left in our room, we were never told anything more than that the bus would pick us up the next morning. The diving was fine, but it was in the bay, and the shop was almost walking distance from the hotel. The company we had booked with, it turned out, provided only the transportation - the dive shop was independent. We found this out when the bus was 45 minutes late picking us up because the driver was out leading a kayaking expedition. The driver then explained that the cost of the dives was $115 per person - twice what we had expected and at least $40 more than any posted prices we had seen. [I should also note that this was not luxury diving - haul your own equipment across the sand, have a cookie between dives.] We argued with the driver, the manager, and the hotel, but got nowhere. The hotel employee (not Eric, I don't remember her name) was completely unapologetic. The last bit of the exchange was something along the lines of "So, we paid $100 for a cab ride?" "Yes" she replied.

Now, yes, we could have been more careful and checked the price, which is why I'm still giving our stay 4 stars. But we did not expect to be screwed by the hotel staff after the rest of our experience. Whether this was an intentional effort to score a commission, or an effort to cover up ignorance with platitudes, we were particularly upset that the hotel did not care that they had lied to us about both the price and the type of diving. So I'm posting this to remind the rest of the readers not to be lulled into complacency by the good reviews.

My boyfriend and I traveled to Los Cabos wanting to stay at a small, clean, friendly hotel. The Bungalows turned out to be much more, it felt like a home away from home, with Eric and his family being very accomodating to anything we asked for. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would have to say the best part was the gourmet breakfast everyday. The price was worth every penny. If I return to Los Cabos I will be staying at the Bungalows again.
