My wife and I recently had the pleasure of returning to the Bungalows for our honeymoon November 13th-23rd. This was our second stay here for many reasons and we were extremely excited to spend our honeymoon here.
Tisha, Carina, and Erik handled all of the details and preparations. So there were no worries regarding our reservations or airport transfers. Carina had arranged for a private Escalade ride from a company by the name of Diamond. I would suggest to all of you out there not to do it any other way. The price is not much more than you might spend for a long, crammed shuttle ride and is about the same price that you’ll find a taxi ride for. Diamond uses a toll road so we arrived at the Bungalows even faster. We were immediately greeted with a hug and smile from Erik upon our arrival at the Bungalows. We had once again arrived at our home away from home. We were able to stay in the honeymoon suite this time, which was excellent. We had plenty of space, privacy, and a private patio with great views of the ocean and city.
The breakfasts were as excellent as ever. They continue to amaze me with the different selections and presentations had every day. Estella and the kitchen staff do a great job and are so pleasant to see and talk to every morning (unless of course we were lazy and had it delivered to our room-another perk of the honeymoon suite). We also had the pleasure of an hour-long massage from Lilia and Rosie. It was so relaxing and topped off the honeymoon just right. The Bungalows now has all spa services to offer so I’d suggest taking advantage of that.
We were also very fortunate to spend some time with Erik and his fiancée Elizabeth. They showed us some beautiful parts of Cabo we hadn’t seen and we shared some great times with them that my wife and I will never forget. They are fun and sincere people and you can’t help but love them from the get go. The pictures we posted capture a bit of those memories. We also enjoyed some of the best local cuisine referred by Erik. Los Claros- the best fish tacos in town (scallop, fish, shrimp, smoked marlin, etc.) and great prices too. Of course we visited our favorite taco stand Gordo Lele’s that is owned and operated by Javier. He is the nicest man you’ll ever meet and has a heart of gold. His food is just as incredible. You have to try the Gordo Lele Torta! You’ll also need to visit Patagonia, which has an assortment of great meats, soups, and bread with incredible drinks and service. Ask Erik or Estella for directions to any of these places. You’ll be sorry if you don’t. We were also lucky enough to catch Sammy Hagar visiting at Cabo Wabo for a night which was very cool.
Saying that Erik or Estella “manage” the hotel is an understatement to all they do. They ensure that ALL of the guests have everything at all times including dinner reservations, activity assistance, and most importantly excellent advice to make sure you have the best time to be had.
I cannot say enough nice things about Erik, Estella and all of the Bungalows staff. From the kitchen staff all the way to the security guard to the housekeeping staff. You’ll get nothing but smiles and kind words from everyone. This is the only place that I can truly “let go” and relax without a care in the world. I leave all of my problems at the airport when I visit the Bungalows family. And we can’t wait to do it again.
Thanks for another brief escape from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
