I had the pleasure of staying at The Bungalows 3/11/05 to 3/15/05. I chose the hotel based on the excellent reviews. My trip was a long weekend get-away with a childhood friend. We now live on opposite coasts and decided to visit Cabo San Lucas for some relaxing and catching up. We stayed in a two bedroom bungalow. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The bedding itself was amazing, with the soft cotton quilts, sheets, and pillow cases. We loved having a refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the soaps and shampoos a really nice touch, as was the bottled water. We purchased groceries in town for day time munchies. The breakfasts were delicious and bountiful. We liked the option of having Coke instead of coffee! Our favorite dish was the frittata, which Estella patiently "taught" us the trick to making one. The staff was more like family - Estella, Jr., Eric (and the lovely Elizabeth), Matt, the housekeeping staff and night watchman, and Tisha, who was there that weekend. We loved the pool, hanging out and reading and chatting with the other guests. We never made it to the beach as the pool area was so quiet and relaxing. We stayed "in" one night and enjoyed the popcorn and a movie. Eric and Estella gave the best recommendations for places to eat and shop. We even had a wonderful cab driver who returned an item we had left behind in his cab. We had no problems with the walk into town; the one barking dog was kept on a leash in his owner's yard. We took a few cab rides (not because of the walk but more likely because of too much Cabo Waboing!). If I was the lucky one on the west coast, I'd be back for a visit with my husband and kids very soon. It's a haul from the east, but it was well worth it. I hated to leave.......and can honestly say I have never hugged and kissed "hotel staff" on any departure, that is until I left The Bungalows. Warmest regards, Elizabeth (the east coast half of Margaret and Elizabeth)

My wife and I just returned from cabo. We stayed at the bungalows bed and breakfast for 9 nights. Great hotel for a few days. It was alittle far from the beach. About 20 min walk. We are beach people so next time we go it will be a hotel on the beach for a couple of days then back to the bungalows. Before i get ahead of myself. When we arrived at the airport, we followed the information about getting past the time share hawks. That is going to the left as you come thru customs. Go out the front door[which is to the right ]once you are in the waiting area. Then go to the right where the shuttles are. It cost us 14 dollars a person to go to cabo. The beach at Medano, It was nice, the water there was crystal blue. the temp of the water at this time was about 68 degrees. Not bad for us since we are from Delaware. The vendors can be distracting at times. We got used to them by the time we were leaving. We usually sat down by the Hacienda hotel in the morning then moved up to the Mango beach bar for the afternoon and early evening.Alot of action up there for partyers. We took a snorkle trip on the Pez Gato catarmuran. On the way to Santa Maria Bay we stop at the Arch where we saw sealions. We also saw Whales which the crew chased for us to get pictures. Fed us drinks on the way out and back. Also had a lite snack on the way back too. the snorkling was not as great as i had expected the only thing i was disappointed in. Took a water taxi to lovers beach or a few hours one day. It is a nice beach to sun your self on . On the other side is the Pacific Ocean, well known as divorce beach. At this beach you do not Swim at. We saw a women and young teenager try to swim and almost drown. The waves and the under tow are so great. The sounds of the crashing waves are almost defying. There are some good places that we ate at in Cabo. They are Enriqies Lobster House, The Office[ on the beach],The Stop Light, and El Doces Italian Resturant. One thing to watch out for, when you go out to eat at some resturants, the managers of the resturant might come up after you eat and try to get you to go to a time share presentation. We had that happen twice. We rented a car for a day. Took a trip to Todo Santos, where we saw the Hotel California and old misson there. We did some shopping there too. On the way back stop at some campgrounds and beaches along the Pacific Ocean. The trip their and back takes most of the day.Did shopping at the Flea Market in Cabo.Got some good buys. We also stop at Cabo Wabo two nights we were there. A grest Place to hear Rock & Roll bands play. When checking at the the airport we found out that we owed tax to leave Mexico 42 dollars a person. Make sure when you book a trip that is already paid for.We had booked everything ourselves, thats why we had to pay when we left.

After a 13 year "engagement" we planned a journey to Baja to get married. After a little research we chose to stay at The Bungalows, knowing that this trip would live in our memories for a long time. The Bungalows and the staff did not disappoint us! As soon as we walked into the pool courtyard, we knew we had chosen well - this was our kind of place! The people and the atmosphere were genuine...we felt right at home immediately. We loved that it was a smaller place and had a casual vibe. We also loved the phenomenal breakfasts each morning. Even as newlyweds, we found ourselves among the first to arrive at the shady breakfast area! :) I can't end without saying some nice things about the people who managed the place. Courteous, friendly, helpful, above-and-beyond service! I wanted to bring them home with me. On the day of our wedding, they brought our breakfast to us so we could eat on our patio privately. Did I mention that we couldn't have been farther away from the kitchen, or that they took the time to cut our watermelon into heart shapes? They also arranged for someone to come and give me manicure (best manicure I ever had) and also gifted us both with complimentary massages. They helped make the day very special! We had a great stay and would highly recommend The Bungalows to anyone traveling to Cabo!

We were in Cabo for 4 nights. Bungalows only had room two of the nights. The Bungalows was the only outstanding thing about the trip. It is beautiful, Eric is a great host, the breakfasts were amazing, and the massages at the spa they have created were fantastic. It is definitely worth a visit.

The Bungalows is a wonderful place to stay. The bed and bedding is top quality. Estela, the manager, is fantastic. She and her staff can take care of all your needs. They make you feel like you are a dear old friend. Breakfast is a real treat.

The inn is about a 10 minute up hill walk from the marina, which is the heart of the city. It's a pretty steep climb. I do recommend ear plugs because dogs in the neighborhood bark a lot during the night. Near by roosters also crow at all hours. I'm sure it's quieter than the hotels by the marina because the night clubs are open all night with very loud music.
