I had the pleasure of staying at The Bungalows 3/11/05 to 3/15/05. I chose the hotel based on the excellent reviews. My trip was a long weekend get-away with a childhood friend. We now live on opposite coasts and decided to visit Cabo San Lucas for some relaxing and catching up. We stayed in a two bedroom bungalow. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The bedding itself was amazing, with the soft cotton quilts, sheets, and pillow cases. We loved having a refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the soaps and shampoos a really nice touch, as was the bottled water. We purchased groceries in town for day time munchies. The breakfasts were delicious and bountiful. We liked the option of having Coke instead of coffee! Our favorite dish was the frittata, which Estella patiently "taught" us the trick to making one. The staff was more like family - Estella, Jr., Eric (and the lovely Elizabeth), Matt, the housekeeping staff and night watchman, and Tisha, who was there that weekend. We loved the pool, hanging out and reading and chatting with the other guests. We never made it to the beach as the pool area was so quiet and relaxing. We stayed "in" one night and enjoyed the popcorn and a movie. Eric and Estella gave the best recommendations for places to eat and shop. We even had a wonderful cab driver who returned an item we had left behind in his cab. We had no problems with the walk into town; the one barking dog was kept on a leash in his owner's yard. We took a few cab rides (not because of the walk but more likely because of too much Cabo Waboing!). If I was the lucky one on the west coast, I'd be back for a visit with my husband and kids very soon. It's a haul from the east, but it was well worth it. I hated to leave.......and can honestly say I have never hugged and kissed "hotel staff" on any departure, that is until I left The Bungalows. Warmest regards, Elizabeth (the east coast half of Margaret and Elizabeth)
