We just returned from a three night stay at The Bungalows, and we were so impressed with the level of service we just had to write. Estella and Eric went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect visit and we really appreciated everything they did. For example, free movies and popcorn whenever you want. Smoothies and juice for the asking. Complementary 15 minute massages. (We thoroughly enjoyed Lilia's massages up on the rooftop, and purchased an additional 30 minutes for $30 USD. A real bargain, of which there aren't many in Cabo!) And for my birthday, Eric stayed up late the night before making me his special flan! I was truly blown away!
We stayed in the smallest unit, a "Cozy Suite", but it didn't feel small at all. We especially liked the partially enclosed bed area. It felt really nice and cozy, with the soft cotton bedding, comforter and quilt, and the pillows were perfect. I usually have problems sleeping in hotels, but not there! The towels and bedding had a lovely fragrance, very light and tropical. The handmade soaps were a real treat, and had a similar fragrance. Everything was clean and fresh, and we never saw a bug anywhere. And that's amazing considering we're in the tropics! The suite also had a small kitchen equipped with a refrigerator and a coffee press, and there's a small seating area where the TV is located. One suggestion I would make would be to provide more comfortable furniture for the seating area, if at all possible. The love seat was attractive and functional, but it was made out of wood and iron. Even though the seat and back were padded it wasn't very comfortable for movie watching. Estella and the staff do so many extra special things to promote relaxation, so while we're enjoying those movies and popcorn it would be nice to have a soft comfortable chair or sofa to curl up in (since we can't view the TV from the bed). That would make everything absolutely perfect!!!
Now about the town, it's a short walk down the hill to the Marina area where there are lots of restaurants, and just a little further to the shopping areas. We usually walked down and took a taxi back up because by then we were exhausted. We picked up a taxi once at the town square and another time at the mall. Both times they quoted $6.00 USD to get to The Bungalows, and when we offered $5.00 USD they took it. You won't want to miss the glass bottom boat trip out to Land's End! It's only $10 USD per person, and was the best $10 we ever spent. We even saw some whales in full breach out on the Pacific (it's late January and whale season). If you like sunbathing and snorkeling, have them drop you off at Lover's Beach, but be prepared to get wet as you disembark. There's no dock so you have to jump off into the waves on the beach (and you'll have to wade out and climb back on when they pick you up). This beach is by far the best one we visited, and is unique because it straddles the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. It's very beautiful and relatively quiet (compared to Medano Beach) and it's safe to swim on the Sea of Cortez side. For dining, if you don't want to pay the high restaurant prices try some of the local taco shops. We highly recommend Pepe's Tacos on the main drag. Really inexpensive and great carnitas, but they don't open until 7:00pm. Another good one is Cabo Taco further down on the same street. They specialize in seafood tacos and are open for lunch.
Bottom line, there's no better place than The Bungalows for great personal service, and truly caring people. They will spoil you so much, you'll never want to stay in an impersonal hotel again!

Los Bungalows had been recommended to us by friends who stay there on occasion on there way to ther home near Punta Pescadero. They did not exaggerate their recommendation as we found everthing to be just as they said it would be. Estelle is a most intelligent and gracious hostess and she has trained her sons "Junior" and Eric very well. Nothing was overlooked and we had a most enjoyable stay there. The owner, Tish was most accommodating as we had to change our reservation dates 2 times. The customer service is outstanding. We would certainly return to Los Bungalows in a flash if we travel again to Cabo San Lucas in the future. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We went the first week in January and loved it. The cozy suite was charming, and we loved the saltwater heated pool. Eric and Estella were always there and helpful, booking things for us and answering questions. Their tips worked out well. Also, leaving things in our room such as money was very safe, good staff. Free bottled water nice. We got stuck in a comp'd all-inclusive (intercontinental in San Jose) an extra night by the airline, and it was incredibly impersonal w/ a boring room, no service and mediocore buffet food, quite a change from the Bungalows. The only caveat is that the Bungalows is most certainly not on the beach, it's a short walk to town/Marina, longer to beach (mendano) (lugging beach items). But lots of restaurants/bars on the beach have beach chairs and umbrellas to use.

My Husband and I decided to take a Thanksgiving trip to Cabo, and after reading the reviews on The Bungalows i'm glad we chose this hotel. The hotel staff made us feel welcome and confortable, the hotel pool is to die for and breakfast every morning was well worth waking up early for. The restaurants recommended were excellent and the food so good that I gained 10 lbs. We will definatly be going back.

My husband and I went to Cabo for the first time with four of our closest friends in mid-December. When planning our trip, I had found The Bungalows on the internet. We booked it based on reviews from TripAdvisor and guest comments on the Bungalows website. We were not disappointed. The Bungalows is a very special place. Upon entering the gates, we were transported to a quieter, relaxed time with our four other amigos. We were greeted by Estella, Junior and Eric and given a glass of refreshing Watermelon juice (another first for us). Immediately, we were treated like friends. Every day spent there was a delight. Each morning we were served a wonderful breakfast. One day was "sweet", the next...an egg dish. We always looked forward to the meal with great anticipation. Estella and her staff are great cooks. Junior and Eric were always a joy to be around. They helped us so much from negotiating cab fares to restaurant recommendations to keeping us entertained with conversation. We would highly recommend a stay at The Bungalows to anyone who travels to Cabo.
