We stayed at the Bungalows for our honeymoon and it was absolutely fabulous! It was our first time in Cabo, and we stayed in the honeymoon suite. Our suite was beautifully decorated with many classic Mexican touches. We had our own private porch with a view of the Sea of Cortez as well as a table for two. We had the gourmet breakfast delivered to our porch a few times during the week. The breakfasts were delicious (and different) every day we were there. Upon arrival at the Bungalows, we were greeted and checked in by the manager, Eric. Eric instantly made us feel like we were at home. Later on in the week, we met Eric's older brother, younger sister, and his mother, Estella. All of them were very helpful with suggestions on where to go, what to do, and, most importantly, where to eat. We didn't plan any activities for our stay in Cabo prior to getting there because all of our energy was focused on our wedding. Eric, Estella, and Junior (Eric's brother) were all extremely helpful, and they actually booked all of our activities for us (fishing trip, car rental, surfing trips, snorkling, pirate ship cruise, etc.). Also, the best places we ate and drank in Cabo were recommended to us by Eric. The walk to town is really not bad. It is an uphill walk from town to the Bungalows, but it is no big deal. We rented a car for a few days so we could check out some of the beaches
on the Corridor, in San Jose del Cabo, and near Todos Santos. Overall, we had a great first experience in Cabo at the Bungalows. We
will definately stay there again!

Great trip to Cabo San Lucas this summer! My wife and two of our good friends decided to stay at the Bungalows and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We had a rocky start when our plane was delayed... We were worried that the Escalade that the staff arranged to pick us up would not know about the delay, but sure enough the driver had waited the 3 hours for us. We were very grateful. We arrived at the inn after the office had closed, but as the after-hours security man was showing us to our room, Eric our gracious host came out in his pajamas to check us in. He even opened up the lobby for us to borrow a couple of DVDs and made us popcorn. Much needed after a long day of travel!! The next morning, we eagerly woke up for breakfast. After reading so much about them, we had high very expectations. Belive it or not, every one of our 4 mornings we thought that we had had the best breakfast EVER. The last morning we had a heated debate over which one was the best. I think we finally decided that the breakfast burrito was the winner, but trust me it barely beat out the others. Every day we trusted Eric and his lovely mother and brother to guide us to the yummiest restaurants and funnest activities. The sunset cruise was divine. Though we accomplished a lot on our trip, we all agree that the most relaxing time was hanging around the hotel, wading in the pool, reading in our hammck, or chatting with the staff. We really appreciated the serenity of the setting and enjoyed our rooms. Overall we had a great time, thanks to Tripadvisor, in which we will now trust all of our hotel choices on---that is, if we ever vacation anywhere other than cabo and the Bungalows!

It was our first trip to Cabo and we booked a 3-night stay at The Bungalow based solely on the user reviews at TripAdvisors. We weren’t expecting a luxurious resort and pretty much knew what we were getting ourselves into: we were looking forward to find a small, family-owned, charming Bed & Breakfast and that’s exactly we got. For what we paid for we certainly had our money worth & more.

The best thing about this place was the breakfast (opened from 8-10am), which consisted of a smoothie or juice, fruit platter, and a breakfast entrée. The 3 mornings we were there we never got identical breakfast, it kept us guessing so it was never boring, and taste was wonderful.

We also liked the pool; I wasn’t too big so initially I was a little worried it's going to get too crowded... but then the 2 times we used the pool we never had to share because we were the only ones. And as far as the temperature goes, at night time the pool was heated so to us the temperature was always perfect.

We had no problems with the owners; the mom helped us booked a snorkeling trip and the brothers recommended excellent restaurants for dinner. At his spare time one of the brothers even offered to drop us off at the Argentine restaurant down the street- what a nice gesture!

We stayed in the corner room on the 2nd floor. It was okay: cozy but the furniture was a little outdated. However it was a good size (it has a kitchenette in the corner), clean & didn’t smell funny.

I have mixed feelings about the location: I liked the fact that it was a little secluded but close enough to major attractions. Most of the time I didn’t mind the 10- minute up-hill walk to down town and the 30-minute walk to the beach, but the walk could be intimidating when returning from a long day-trip, so we just hailed a cab to get back to the hotel.

This hotel is a small bed & breakfast (16 rooms). By far the best thing is the breakfast which on the days we had it (see below) were very good by anyone's standards. The rooms though are quite small & basic and ours was dark but if we opened the curtains there was no privacy. It is a good 20-25 minute walk to town which is fine on the way into town as it is all downhill but the return walk is tougher (all uphill) and the sidewalks are dark and very narrow in places. We didn't feel safe making the walk past 10pm. Older guests would definitely not want to walk to town (either way). The salt water pool is fairly clean but was too cold. We really came to Cabo for the fishing and because we had to leave those days at 6:15am, I assummed that they would at least offer a sandwhich or something for us to take with us instead, but were told "sorry breakfast is at 8am to 10am only". Strange considering their website boasts a "fisherman's special" - not quite sure what is so special about leaving hungry if you are a fisherman! I wouldn't assess the service level as outstanding as many others seem to rate it, but it definitely wasn't bad either. I didn't get the impression that the manager especially enjoyed his job. The manager is young and speaks good english but his older brother & family who filled in for him one night were an especially friendly and interesting couple. I wish they were around more of the time. The manager had a few of his friends hanging around most of the time. All in all, if you are used to first class service & upper-scale accomodations you likely won't be happy here. I'd say it is well suited to younger more budget concious couples, as it is not really a bad value for the money. Also, if you are seeking solitude its not a good choice as it is noisy in the morning (roosters) and due to the small pool & courtyard all the guests are more or less "in your face" - great if you are the gregarious type, or travelling with a group, but not great if you want to be left alone to relax and quietly read a book by the pool. My wife had her watch stolen from the premises which was unfortunate and perhaps tainted our experience.

We booked our stay at The Bungalows after reading the glowing reviews posted on TripAdvisor. We were prepared for disappointment given the relatively low room prices vs other hotels in the area. The hotel is, in our opinion, perfect! We had stayed at one of the corridor resorts during our last stay in Cabo, and were looking for something a bit less resorty and closer to the shops and restaurants in town. Here's what we absolutely loved about the Bungalows:
* Charming and intimate- only 16 rooms
* Very clean and quite (short walk to the noise of Cabo)
* The family who runs the hotel is fantastic- they love their jobs and go out of their way to make your stay perfect.
* The BEST breakfasts in the entire world- fruit, smoothies, alternating sweet and savory entrees... lovely...
* Close to everything, but just far enough away for privacy
* Very personalized feel
* Great prices

Not a place to stay if the following are important to you:
* Hotel on the beach
* Spa in hotel (though they arranged for massages in our room which were amazing and cheap)
* Bar & restaurant in hotel

We will definitely stay at The Bungalows when we return to Cabo.
